Creation or Evolution? - Raven - 2008-07-13 Post why if you like, or not. I'm an atheist myself... Creation or Evolution? - WarriorLM3 - 2008-07-13 Evolution. I'm jewish but I've never believed strongly (Borderline agnostic?). Plus, evolution can be backed up with evidence. Creationism can't. Creation or Evolution? - Beaner - 2008-07-13 i dont say i am an atheist, but i most def dont follow stablished religions. and evolution its where its at. Creation or Evolution? - srevwetv - 2008-07-13 If I had to chose out of those two, then Evolution. But to be honest, I don't know. Evolution is the more logical choice for me. But for all I know, a huge Horntail could have beat the crap out of a Zakum and created the Earth, then filled it with with his inbred creations of Leafre monsters. Creation or Evolution? - Hazzy - 2008-07-13 I have a hard time believing someone just "decided" to create the world. Evolution is so much more likely, it's not even funny. .__. I really hate it when people tell me I'm wrong. You think God created the world, good for you, I don't care. I just don't like religion in general, as it is one of three causes of War; power, money, religion. In most places, generally the past, power and money were a result of religion. You can't eat meat on Fridays? That's so full of rubbish. <_< Only reason that rule came to be was to make Fishermen rich. <_< Hmm, I got somewhat off topic, no flame war pls. Creation or Evolution? - Raven - 2008-07-13 Now I'm waiting for an evangelist to post. LOL.

Creation or Evolution? - aznegglover - 2008-07-13 Evolution
Creation or Evolution? - Kigaz - 2008-07-13 i believe we were created but our minds eventually evovled to what they are now. a caveman wouldnt be able to make a computer, we're able to make computers because our minds have evovled. Creation or Evolution? - Raven - 2008-07-13 Kigaz Wrote:i believe we were created but our minds eventually evovled to what they are now. Oh lord. Hypothetically speaking of we put a human baby born this month, 2008, in a time machine back to the time of "Cavemen" he would not be able to make a computer nor would he have any clue of such. Society and our entire planet has evolved too, don't forget that. Creation or Evolution? - xCenario - 2008-07-13 Every evolutionist fact sustains itself way better than creationism ones. And as xBish said, I don't call myself an atheist, yet I dont follow any religion. Creation or Evolution? - Flintlock - 2008-07-13 Raven Wrote:Now I'm waiting for an evangelist to post. LOL. Raptor Jesus! Well, I've been taught (loosely) Evolution, and it "makes sense" to me, but it's just a theory. I'd read about Creationism or any other origin of species theory, as long as presented in a logical way (not willing to take religious dogmas). In which case you'd fall along the lines of some form of agnosticism. Creation or Evolution? - Rozune - 2008-07-13 I've been a Christian my whole life, and I do believe in Creation. No offense to anyone who is Christian (or any other creation-based religion) and believes in evolution, but Christianity and evolution don't mix. If you're Christian, you have to believe in the Bible (or you should, according to the religion). The Bible says God created everything. Not really any room for evolution there. But other than just stating what I believe, I'm not going to go any further into it. I'm afraid it'd turn into an argument and I hate fights. *backs out of thread* Creation or Evolution? - Katie - 2008-07-13 I come from a family that is Jewish and Christian. I'm not a church goer and I know more about Judaism more of the 2. But even so, I believe in evolution. There is much more proof to it then some book that is over 2000 years old. I don't believe that God or whoever just pomegranate out a planet and we appeared. Alot of people are on the Jesus Train. I never boarded it. Creation or Evolution? - dizzy - 2008-07-13 sometimes i have no clue what the pineapple i believe, but most of the time i lean towards evolution. Creation or Evolution? - xCenario - 2008-07-13 Can you define agnoticism? I'm not acquianted with that terminology of myself. I'm the same. also: Quote:i believe we were created but our minds eventually evovled to what they are now. That's not evolution, that is the result of research and knowledge. It's like if you take two kids, one gets sent to school, the other gets separated from society and any human presence. In several years the kid that went to school would be smarter, while the separated kid would have no clue what is going on. That's not evolution, that's called learning. And on that note, *Backs out of thread as well* Creation or Evolution? - Kigaz - 2008-07-13 Raven Wrote:Oh lord. Duh a baby wouldn't be able to ![]() Humans are a species that has to learn, a caveman would be able to make a computer, if we taught him to, assuming he could comprehend what we're telling him and communication between the two parties would be possible. Creation or Evolution? - Retalion - 2008-07-13 Going to a Christian high school and taking Biology 11, what they taught made sense to me: The world was created by an intelligent being, but evolution is true in places such as the "survival of the fittest", how organisms adapt to their surrounding environment, etc. Humans came from monkeys? No thanks. I dont think many people know this but the word in the Bible for "days" in Genesis in Hebrew (the language the Bible was originally written in) doesnt actually mean days but literally means "periods of time" so for all we know, creation could've taken place over hundreds of millions of years for all we know. Creation or Evolution? - Kranzorbaken - 2008-07-13 Evolution all the way. No offence but it boggles how some people can believe that theres a god. Meh just the way i was brought up i guess. |
