The Fusion Anvil thread
I know a lot of people (myself included) were eagerly awaiting this addition to the Cash Shop.
So, show us what you did with them. The big ugly Scarlion hat turned into a cute Nekomimi. The ordinary class equips that became a Bosshunter set. The hacker-magnet of an e-staff masquerading as an uninteresting Kage.
Whatever your reasons, let's see what the Anvil did for you (for a small fee :f3:).
I'll start: I Anviled my drab Bronze Kalkan
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8322/8...239fa34e_m.jpg
to look like a 2nd Unwelcome Guest Warrior Shield
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8181/8...f210fb3d_t.jpg
and now it glows red like my lightsaber (and my Advanced Combo orbs, and Raging Blow flames, in combat).
I'm happy.

only thing i've actually anvil'd so far was my pvp scar to look like a blood mask, i had the demon horns in the inventory, and i must say... i REALLY like how this looks.
http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/...ps20b2982c.jpg
might go for it later (and anvil my blue earrings into some red ones, not equipped atm though)
edit: scania notice: i have a crystal blade and android headgear, if anyone would like for the look of one of these items, contact me.

Need better gloves shinku.
I have a crystal blade as well.

Which reminds me, I have a black crystal blade in MYCK. And hmm... maybe we should have anvil lending/rental threads in the marketplace.

i love my gloves tyvm, they're red, and black, and gold.
i thought about it, but... it's very prone to scamming, i mean most people in southperry know each other, but it's still a "trust me" thing.
unless you dual-anvil, in which case you lose just 2.7k if scammed. speaking of, i really like the price of the anvil, not too steep.

Is that "gift from the craftsman" thing going to be permanent, or is it just a special lagniappe for the introduction of the anvil?

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Anvild only two items I thought were neccesary.
First my gloves:
http://i45.tinypic.com/2e657o4.png
And my overall:
http://i47.tinypic.com/2s6nf2e.png
I'm completely happy with how I look now.
I cant figure out any other improvements for me anymore.
Tempted to use my bosshunter gear to anvil something but i dont know what yet.
PS: Any southperian can lend any glimmer weapon or BH item from me if they want in Windia.

I beg to differ. The ugliest eyewear are the raccoon masks.

I don't know (and update notes don't mention it), but I am :hothead: at getting yet another kind of untradeable Power Elixir. That makes a total of four in my inventory right now. Why, Nexon, why?

What the hell, seriously? Is it not enough that they are untradeable in the first place?

Fused my overall (Agent suit) and my hat (Red Hunter).
Sort of a work in progress. If I come to a final decision here, I may fuse my bow and glasses as well.

brofist, nice look.
i was thinking of using the same overall, however it's too short for my char due to the wings, so i kept the black nx one instead
@above: why not just bannedstory your way through? D:

Hey wait, how did you get archaeologist glasses already, or was there an artifact hunt earlier this year I was unaware of? Because I'm looking to fuse those as well.

Yes, there was already an artifact hunt this year. I have the glasses too.

Your character def had a nice improvement. I like it a lot better.
Also, I'm doubting about turning my hair into the oh so infamous metro sexual (The one you can pick at the start in red).
And anvil my empress hat into a Lv 110 (Canopus) hat. Or keep what I have right now.
I cant pick.. what do?

Update: Went and bought the silver-chain hat. Sure would love a permanent version. Still trying to decide whether or not I want to keep my Engaw or switch its looks to the Dark Arund... but definitely waiting for Archaeologist glasses.

Nothing anviled yet, but if anyone has a Toy Machine Gun crossbow (one of the NX Gachapon items) and wants to lend it to me in MYCK it'd be appreciated.

Arund feels like a peashooter compared to the Engaw. Stick with the Engaw I'd say.

the "top end" face acc is the branch noses, but i don't expect many to use that, heck, not even i do. (plus it always looked horrible... until now)
i think i'll anvil my helmet to be like the red horns, and my racc mask to be the purple eyewear, that way i can switch between purple and red when i want xD

Eew, hadn't thought of that. With the "appearance" item showing in the character stats window, I can now no longer easily tell if a person asking to join my party is using hacked gear. Definitely a downside to Anvils.

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Changed my Elemental Staff 6 into a Dark Ritual. Only thing I plan on doing, for now anyway.
<- See avatar.
Was either going to be this or a Kage and I think this matched a little better with the permanent NX I have to work with.

Dragon Tail is my favourite by miles, after that most likely the kanzir followed by many other str daggers, so i see your point :P
Moving on to your other point, I've dressed my shadower into a pre'BB style set up using those anvils. I'll post a pic in the morning I just gotten into bed :f4:

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
All right, so I kept my Engaw for now. If only we could simply tag items to be worn over existing items instead of changing them permanently, then I'd simply switch between Engaw and Arund...
Once I get my hands on some Archaeologist Glasses, I will be complete. And this one I can actually switch between eyepatch and glasses with. :f3:

Changed my fugly branch nose into a smiling mask. Thinking about changing my empress hat into a lv40 pirate hat and possibly my empress knuckle into a lv40 knuckle. It would be sick if I had a dkhanjar to turn my maple shield into.

You can only anvil items that have the same "Category" line. So, shield to shield, "equippable projectile" to "equippable projectile".

Purple Morrican <- Reverse Bergamot

If they fix the display in the character info, though, I'll be less uncomfortable with it.

That's great. I can't think of anything else to say that wouldn't seem as if my opinion is above others.
But there ARE people who i know who made their first character in big bang and run around high and mighty that they have a mark of beta hat and no one can now differentiate who actually is a beta character and who isn't. I mean the pride and nostalgia are the reason there's a hat for people like this, right?

Saw a Zhelm anvil'd as a Mark in the FM being sold for 1b, and even a Mark of the Beta anvil service advertised. Kind of saddening really given the unique issuing of the equip and the significance that owning one held.

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
What does it matter anymore whether you played beta or not? That's so long ago and people have long since moved on to different characters. I feel like you're getting too emotional over something so insignificant.
Its like me getting angry with someone who has an anvil'd smiling mask when I spent x amount of hours hunting for one. Its pointless and a waste of energy to be upset over it.

Not really. Obviously the importance varies from person to person; for me, there are a lot of memories bound up there. I s'pose it's like any souvenir-type thing IRL -- some people might be very invested in the event it came from, and others not so much. Some might just like the look of it, and others might wish to use it as a token that they can talk to so-and-so about that event. In any case I don't think there's evidence that anyone's flat-out angry over it :P

Mark of Beta.
You use time as an excuse. Anvilling a mark of beta as someone who isn't from beta gives a false understanding of a person and they don't deserve that right.
And that mask analogy is terrible because it signifies nothing about the person.
I also don't understand how you think i'm angry about it. I just think these people don't deserve something they didn't participate for, with the only effort being that you find a person in bera and scania, and they anvil items for you, because it provides false information about what the person has done and their accomplishments. It's like a false timeline.
Edit: What is this post adding?

Anybody can say they don't scam; anybody can say they were in beta; anybody can say anything. If it's possible to have a Mark of Beta without ever having been in the beta, then you would never know if anybody truly obtained their item from beta to begin with. Literally every single person who owns one can be questioned unless you know without a doubt that they truly earned this, which you can't know unless you are either them or you knew them when they got it.
It's just an item - it has no value except to the people who value it. It isn't some amazing symbol of epicness unless the individual wants it to be. For all we know Zantgx thought, ''Hey, neat looking hat'' so decided to display it on his character. A newer player probably won't even know that hat was from beta just from seeing it, meaning it would just be any other hat to that person anyway.
No point questioning it. Everybody in this game tells the truth, and everybody lies as well.

It's a lot easier to trust a person in game with a beta hat than a fake one. It was almost unintended that something like this would happen. And i can't understand how proud someone would be to not be from beta and be wearing the same hat that was issued to beta only players, and untradeable specifically so it couldn't be handed out to newcomers. When newcomers wear hats like that it is surely providing a false idea of the person.
No one besides the account holder should be running around with something issued like this. No matter how much people value it, it will always be a hat unique to the person who got it from playing all those years ago. It is a special symbol, not a piece of jewelry.

Actually it's not a special symbol either. It's a bunch of pixels that you've attached emotions to; it's not easier to trust a person with that hat because they might just use it as a scamming tool for people who believe that a mark of beta entitles the person with more trust. If you really want to get a good idea of the person you would get to know them by talking and not by what hat they are wearing. Stop treating this bundle of red and black pixels like it's a sign from god, because it really isn't and people can do anything they want with it, with or without your consent.

You just brought back a 2 day old argument.
But to clear something up, i don't think you understood my first sentence. I was referring to the idea of trusting someone to be a beta player with the actual beta hat, than one that is just from an anvil. It's a first impression deal.
Edit: I just realized i can't unpineapple/pomegranate someone. :f7:

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Can you use the fusion anvil to replace a top with an overall? Or does that not work since they're not the same item type?

The latter just answered your own question.

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
That's a bummer. I know you can cover tops with cash shop overalls so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do the same thing with an anvil. Guess I'll just have to wait for a decent permanent overall that's not overpriced.

because you can cover overalls with CS bottoms, which would allow for some pretty messed up things. makes perfect sense you can't.

I've read all your posts and I can understand where you are coming from with this. I also feel a sense of uniqueness being lost as well, but should I?
The fact is, the game is a game, getting worked up over some pixels aint worth it. There are more seriousness going on like "reality" itself. A "game" is meant to be an instrument to help relief "stress" and promote "enjoyment".
If people want to profit by selling the MoB design then they are slowly chipping away a sense of uniqueness to that beta-community. But I have no right to say that person can't do it, catch my drift?
Anyway to satisfy doubters

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Red Maple Bandana's been mouldering on a mule since they made it untradeable, I finally got it back (covering my Dark Dragon Barbute). Plus, Agent Gloves for my Purple Imperial, and a Purple Fairy Top for the Purple Valkyrie. Sort of a cumulative thing, the Purple Valkyrie has never been my favorite and then the Imperial looked out of place.

Not saying they have no right. I'm saying they shouldn't have the right. I could keep going...but i really don't want to continue opening this can of worms. Can we please end this already?

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
I have a sudden urge to fuse my DKhanjar with a Pan Lid and my Baselard with a Dragon Tail.
Then fuse the rest of my gear to look like the old DEXless sin stuff (Sauna Robe, VSS, etc).

The reverse is true as well.
Demon Slayers can use Warrior Shields and more notably Khanjar and Dragon Khanjar.

@emailbox; Brown Bamboo Hat, Work Gloves, Blue Sauna Robe, Black Snow Shoes, Maple Wagner, Pan lid, Pink Adventurer Cape (or dating back further, Green Napoleon Cape)
The "pro" suit of ancient times lol.

When did this happen? I couldn't equip a normal shield, on my DS, the day before the Mikhail patch.

It can be anviled again and in order to change it to normal, you have to anvil it again, using the original item's apperance.

This is fun.

My bishop, before and after.
I really don't like the way mage robes drag on the floor, and the sleeves are usually too long as well. Makes mages look like little boys wearing dad's coat. I much prefer pirate overalls, and that red-bellied duke looks just perfect with the Manareaper, I think.
Obviously the green ciara couldn't stay, so now it's a Maple gage.
The blue glowing alien shield had to go too, anviled to look like a low-key maple shield.

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Does anyone know if Fusion Anvils left the cash shop in KMS after they were released? Or were they a permanent addition? I'm wondering if I should scramble to get all my gear anvilled now.
