What's the difference between Option 2 and Option 4?
No, and I want them to kill off some of the classes they've created. (cough, the 6th, 7th and 8th warrior classes)
They should have at least finished Heroes in every class before creating resistance.
It's like, "YAY! New classes that I may actually be excited for and hype, but after the current branches they really need to work on new content! Yay Maple!"
as opposed to;
"I guess they should finish what they started. I'm not really interested in them though. When are we getting actual content again?"
The fact that they can't even put out NEW classes alone is enough reason for them to stop. All of the ''new'' classes are just rehashed garbage, but stronger than the last.
The game would be a lot easier to balance if they just stopped and finished what they started. It seems like every two days I see some balance patch notice here, which is pineappleing bullpomegranate. They've added so many classes, but as time goes on the older ones aren't even worth using at all, so it seems like they honestly have no clue what the pineapple they're doing.
Seriously, they need to spend time refining the game instead of adding more mess, but I'm starting to think that's what this is about: They don't want to have to actually put much effort into polishing the game. They're hoping they can keep pumping out the same content, just with a different skin and call it a day.
My sensibility arrives at option 4, but my gut instinct and displeasure with too much classes made me choose option 3.
So all in all, no more new classes plox. The dead horse of new characters has been beaten too much, to the point of them releasing a class which steals skills of other classes. What's next, a new class that steals skills of another class which steals skills? It'll be called Phantom Phantom (I hereto copyright this uber-brilliant idea before Nexon gets it's dirty claws on it).
When they release a class that is a logia from one piece, is when they can stop.
Nexon believes that they can make new classes to attract more people and revamp other classes to apease the current people playing. :f1:
Make the Pirate legend. Thats all I really give a pomegranate about anymore.
And Mikhail? The pineapple are you thinking honestly. Its literally a retcon of even having a cygnus because it makes them essentially worthless.
When I choose option 4, I thought "might as well be the only one that thinks that" until I saw the results. :f7:
Finish the classes, focus more on end-game material.

No seriously, I love having a giant roster and I want them to endlessly pump out new classes with a new area every 3-4 classes.
I want ALL the classes.
The less likely it is to pass by someone with the same class as me, the better.
Given that we're way past the point where Nexon could manage to create classes that are significantly different from the existing lot in any meaningful way, I would like to see the efforts refocused on to creating new areas.
Is it going to happen? Not a chance.
I don't care really much for new classes, but it really bothers me that they haven't finished up with their current branches before moving onto new ones. The reason I like new classes is that they can create variety among players, but I don't like them because they sometimes get in the way of new content.
With the exception of the Cygnus instructor branch, all I want is for them to finish what they started so they can move on to actual content. And maybe just scrap Mikhail entirely.
All I want is for them to finish the Pirate legend, and then no more new classes for at least 3 years.
Considering what their new classes have been, I don't even want the Pirate Hero. It just has too much potential to be terrible.
Personally I want them to at least make Irena playable. >_>
I must be in the minority, but I absolutely love new classes.
They're what keep the game interesting for me.
I like the idea of new classes. I think it's pretty cool to have so much choice for a character, but when it only takes a few weeks to go from 1-max level and you run into the wall of 'Oh damn, I've done this all before. What else can I do? Start again?' it ruins the fun.. I've not bothered making any new classes lately despite them interesting me (Evan, Aran, Demon Slayer all seem really fun, but I can do everything I'd do on those characters on my Shadower already.. so what's the point?)
If there was more end game content, and it was a more rewarding experience to bother making new characters then I probably would do so a lot more. But until then, I doubt I'll bother with new characters aside from link skills and the card buffs.
After releasing the Cygnus Knights they went a bit mad. Releasing a class here and there and starting new branches all the time. I liked the Cygnus launch because you got all 5 classes at once and made the one you wanted no fuss. Now they draw it out for months/years.
I don’t have a problem with adding new classes per say but everything in moderation really. Since they are releasing nothing but new classes and revamps everyone is just fed up. If they released a new class along with a content update on the same scale as say leafre or a bit smaller I don’t think people would mind so much. But with a new class the shine soon wears off since you’re doing all the same pomegranate over and over again.
I think the classes they released with the legend update were actually very good, the best they have made probably. But then they go and release something like Mikhail and it just makes you despair, especially since you know 4 more are inevitably coming. The game doesn’t need any more classes like that, it adds nothing to the game. I think they should take a break from adding new classes for now simply to catch up on adding other content that they have neglected for the last few years.
Enough is enough for a few years at least. There's already enough variety for everyone. Another underlying issue I think is that older classes do not get the respect they deserve when new and shiny versions of them with more fast and more powerful attacks are released. Seniority is needed..badly.
Not gonna lie, I enjoy new classes.. But god I hate revamps with passion..
I'd prefer if they were to do what they did with KoC and resistance and release a few classes at the same time every once in a while and not make them stupidly OP.
this whole new class every patch or 2 is getting really annoying.
I'd rather have them finish up the existing class branches and then focus on the rest of the game's content.
Getting a new class used to be exciting but now it seems to come along every 3 months, each being a rehash of other classes. Mikhail shouldn't even have been created imo. It's the most uninspired and blatantly OP classes they've made.
Imo: finish the branches (pirate hero, thief resistance, third archer, cygnus classes if they don't suck, because I love me some thunderpunchers) and make a bunch of new continents that EACH range from levels 50 all the way to 180, and then a bunch of new continents for 150-200s.
I want continents released to be like how NLC was when it first came out. Everyone was there.
i wouldn't mind new classes if:
1) it didn't seem to take away from their time making content
2) had MORE FKING CHARACTER SLOTS.
I really don't care how many classes there are. If anything, I want more classes so people can have more to pick from.
inb4 why pick class x when class y does everything and better, etc.
I personally voted the first option, but really they could stop making classes and couldn't care less. But I definitely want them to at least finish things they've started (all the heroes, all the "storyline adventurers," the Resistance, etc.).
I wouldn't mind new classes if they got creative with them, like a beast tamer class or a class that uses a co-op style (an actual warrior who uses the help of a multi-elemental mage?) but they don't even do that. So new content please.
The part that saddens me is that this game does have some serious potential. Except Nexon owns it.
I'm fine with new classes. It's just that there's barely any new, "fun" content anymore for everyone else. It's making everyone restart over and over again. Eventually, like right now, people will get tired of it.
If they are going to make new classes,
1) Slow down! A class an year would be good.
2) Think of new skills! Even though this is a 2D game, there's still lots of things a guy can do!
3) Release classes together. I don't want to see hundreds of clones of me everywhere when they are released. I'd rather see NEW variety (like 2-3 classes at once)
4) Release OTHER content other than revamps and new jobs. There needs to be a balance on what kinds of events/updates there are.
Pirate hero and Thief resistance, then no more new classes for at least two years.
In my opinion, they create new classes so they can recycle old content: same old training areas, same towns, same equips, same mobs, same quests, etc etc etc. Also imo, people hate new classes because of the existing problems.
First they need to do the following:
-Flesh out the endgame. In most MMOs, there's a lot of max-level dungeons for you to explore... I don't know why there's almost none like this in Maple.
-Differentiate classes. Make the classes utility based and not independent soloing damage dealers.
If they do that then I don't mind having a million more branches of classes coming out and a whole new class tree after Pirate. I'm pretty sure many people wouldn't mind new classes either if these other problems were addressed.
Release Pirate hero, Delete mikhail and I'll be a happy duck.
Didn't like the release of Mikhail. We already have Cygnus, and the instructors just make them obsolete. I would personally enjoy an anti-hero class (not like DS that switches sides), but would feel better off if they finished the third branch Bowman Adventurer, Pirate Legend, and Thief Resistance first.
First of all, I freaking want the Pirate hero, more than needing it for what It can add to the game's gameplay, we need it as the missing link to end the 5 Heores arc and maybe actually getting into development of the black Mage himself (not his minions). I also want to see the Instructor Knights replace the current Cygnus Knights (I'm prolly the only one but heck who else against this idea even plays a cyrrent CK anymore). And maybe... just maybe a resistance thief.
We don't really need more classes, but since they already started these branches long ago, they might aswell finish them now. Not doing so would be like NexAm and Masteria.
Pirate Hero, Thief Resistance, third Adventurer Archer.
That's it.
After that, I would prefer they do something like, say, revamp the game to have quest based leveling from 1 all the way to 200, then try to design some level 200 content other than bosses that are only "hard" because you need to spend hundreds to be able to do the damage to kill them in time, and because they have that damned damage reflect thing that gets you because you can't see them cast it behind all the numbers and attack animations because there's 10+ people blasting them.
You know. Something that would make the game interesting to play beyond that twisted part of my soul that keeps pulling me back to the game whenever a new class comes out.
I would like it if they stopped releasing limited time classes because there is no net gain of content.
I like new classes, but I really wish they would just finish with the current branches before moving on and creating new ones.
GOTTA TRAIN EM ALL, MAPLESTORY!
I want them to actually try to make a new job instead of just pulling things from different classes. Maybe then I would actually enjoy new classes instead of dreading them.
pineapple content.
I never want them to stop. I prefer the incomprehensible chaos of constant new classes.
I would like to see a job, that's not human or alien, more like a monster, or a robot. And would be able to (physically and visual) grow through skills and level increasement. Say they hit lvl 100, the robot would get a new booster, so they move around quicker, or a new GPU, that makes their attacks one grade faster. And the monster would get spikes on his back, so he does auto damage reflect.
This would IMO be an intersting class, because development is actually achieved by playing.
Ps And not by spending cash.
I loved that feeling.
When I was exploring the Ant Tunnel as a low level, I continued onward past all the ridiculous pre-BB pathings, bumps, and ropes until I got to Drakes. I knew I shouldn't have been there because I was so weak but I got to see a glimpse of high level Assassins training there. That kind of feeling of "I shouldn't be here..." and that feeling of wondering what's beyond is now gone. That feeling of fear of dying instantly in the next room is gone. The last time I ever felt this way was when I stumbled across Crimson Guardians in the old CWK where they completely stomped everything they touched.
What a thing Nexon would do to make a lvl200 like me too scared to progress further into a dungeon...
