EDIT: Oh. You mean it's not listed. That just means it wasn't changed. There is probably still a cooldown, though. I don't know. I'd have to look.

What the hell is up with so many nerfs? I thought this class was on par with other jobs (good mobbing, bad 1v1) but they just keep nerfing it as if they wanna put them on par with no "JUMP!" pirates.

Nexon is apparently only capable of making a fun, but pineappleing overpowered job or boring and pineappleing weak job.

What the pineapple is up with cannon buster's animation.

Ehhhh. Roughly 300% buff 1v1 for buster. Not too bad i suppose. I think i preferred 3 mob buster though, but this is fine.

I liked it when Cannon Buster hit 3. And does the twin Monkey summon not move anymore now or something?

Geez what the hell, kMS? The class seemed balanced enough and not LOLAWESOME like Mechs or Dual Blades to justify nerfing. Am I reading this right, that they reduced Cannon Bazooka's hits from two hits to one? Now sure how to feel that they raised Cannon Buster's damage to be slightly higher single target.

Wait did they make their buster weaker, slower AND less targets o_O, or did they raise the number of hits or something.

yes, i meant that, it confused me because i also saw cannon spike having "450%-->450% on it's range, which isn't a change, so i thought this listed everything from the changed skill

Why didn't Nexon just keep Canoneers as they were?
They were actually balanced. D:
This was probably the first new class that they've made that didn't need a buff/nerf.

A ~30-33% damage increase in 1v1 still places them behind the real DPS classes. I just hope their training speed is barely affected, for those who need a reason to still be able to enjoy the class outside of bossing.

Yeah, well they seemed like one hell of a training class. With the nerfs, not too sure anymore. It seems like they tried to put them more in the middle ground like Buccs, which just won't work due to lack of invincibility frames.

It's more power less survivability than buccs, less power more survivability than sairs. I'd say it's pretty well middle ground.

"Jump ship" class for buccs i suppose.

I suppose this what happens when people look at overfunded players and yells "OP!" too much. Never thought that I'd see a class that looks underpowered now.

So the monkey twins don,t move anymore ? there like the octopus now.

I love how everyone is crying OMG THEY NERFED A BALANCED CLASS when in fact Monkey Rush Bomb and Cannon Spike were both far stronger than any 3rd job mobbing skill of any other class, and after 4th job's passive, they become just as strong if not stronger than most 4th job mobbing skills. The only thing worth being upset about is Cannon Buster being nerfed because it actually isn't a real change and definitely not an improvement, and Monkey Support Twins being changed because the originality was removed. It's now Octopus.

Now, when you are npcing items on stores, once you do it for the first time, another tab appears on the shop. And all the items you NPC appear there, for the exact same price you npced them for. So that way, you can recover them back by turning the money back. I don't know how long do they stay there though.

So wait it says attackcount was removed from buster.. that means it doesn't hit multiple times right?

How are you getting that it's hitting multiple times? All i see is that it's costing 5 bullets to use for ??? reason

Luckily i’ve never accidentally npc’d something myself but I can see how it could be very easily done so that’s a nice feature to have. After 8+ years…

Someone I know is going to pretty pissed this didn't come out earlier.

And yeah..looking at that video I'm definitely disappointed with the Monkey summon now. Would have preferred it to be like a Mage summon rather than an Octopus summon. I never really care that much about damage % being nerfed, but I do care when they change how a skill works.

While I like that addition, I too totally forsee exploits galore.

I've seen people NPC stacks of Onyx apples/Stars before that'll welcome the change.

Highly reminiscient of LaTale's rebuy feature. certain its not the first game to have this system but its very much appreciated nonetheless. I approve of any effort to make the game easier to manage.

After watching the video, comparing this to octopus is kind of ridiculous. It's octopus in that it is stationary, but it is in every way better than octopus because you can replant it without waiting for cooldown. I guess that's one change that we can probably see in pirate jump. (no CD octopus)

Eh..I guess so. Still would have preferred if they stayed the same though. But if you can constantly recast them I guess it's not too much of a difference at all other than mobbing to 1v1 and both side attacking.

But if they pump out boring bloody weak jobs, who's going to play them? The people who want to feel "unique"? LOL. That just won't do in a game like Maple where fun is essentially correlated to how good/powerful the class is. No amount of flavor text can save a weak class from being ignored/mocked by the majority of the Maple population. :goggle:

It's usually best to overpower the class at release, and tweak it bit by bit as feedback is given on what works and what doesn't work.

I don't think they had that in mind changing buster to a 1v1 skill for added bossing appeal to the class.

Seems like a waste of time/money to develop something few people will be interested in.

What are you talking about? It has 10s cool down. Octopus is vastly superior.

If they give a free character slot, consider this pirate mule 2.0 I have a 120 mech i use to farm pap crack; This one will probably;y end up being another one of those, but better since i can transfer over my buccaneer's equips for the most part (cause my lol overall has 3% all stat and 3% str, so my mech can't really make use of it all that much) Either this or advance my Aran some more F3

Sounds like the old WhiteKnight/Paladin right there. I'd rather play a job that I like more than one thats powerful as the "best" classes are always boring to me. Either lack of useful skills, Nightlords for instance or just plain boring to watch like the Mechanic. Yeah, we get it, you're lazy and have the faceless machine do everything in an appearently psychic method. :f3:
Evan might have Mir do the attacking but at least the mage is commanding him to do so and teleporting about.

That's because they shared the Cash Shop with all other classes that time (the Adventurers). Since then new classes have seperate Cash Shops.

That's all I needed to see. Not making one as a main anymore, I'll just make one to try it out. I'm sticking with my Bucc.

In this patch, there are some things worth noting too.
1) There is a new party quest system: PQ of the Day! With this system, a random party quest is chosen each day as the PQ of the day, and upon completing it, you will receive a 20% EXP bonus! There is a limitation though: the bonus can only be received thrice per day.
2) You can now use potions while riding on mounts
3) A new option has been added under the kMST Main Menu. There is now an option called “Events” where you can view an up-to-date event calendar listing all current and upcoming events.
4) NPCs are now searchable using the Find button on the minimap (Previously via World Map)

IMO, this is a better Spadow's replacement than shakar

Oh hey, mounts are finally worth using!

Now if only they'd make mounts simply negate the effects of Power Guard instead of turning the skill off entirely. I might actually be able to use my mount during training if they did that.

Perhaps they can have a system where each version receives similar updates at the same time.
(Excluding new classes/mobs/pqs/ect)

Never reading anything related to ellinforest again. Cannon shooters still seem awesome..anyone else ever think the old twin monkey thing looked funky how they flew around and shot? I kinda did, stationary summons are a bit more strategic in when to use and where so it should be more interesting. Would think people actually cared about a ranged class with great hp but they don't apparently because its weaker and has similar moves to other classes.

I thought it was balanced in the first place... These nerfs hurt the already low class motivation for me. It was more interesting when the monkeys moved with you, and when you had a 3 mob skill. Maybe if the only 1v1 skill was a tiny bit faster I'd be happy. Magnetic Anchor still seems awesome though =P

I'm actually kind of happy that they're going to be weaker. The Cannoneer playstyle looks like sometihng I could get into, but I get bored as hell on classes like Mechs and second job Warriors because they just rip everything appart with only one attack and never have to bother with most of their moves. With Cannoneers being weaker with some skills and slower with others, I actually think I'd have more fun just because the game would feel slightly more challenging.
