I would like both a gunslinger and a brawler to answer my question: what inventory expansions do you get at 1st, 2nd and 3rd job advancement?
I don't think there's a single job that gets an inventory expansion at 3rd.
OK, so I am making a gunslinger and doing some of the quests. I don't usually do quests so I rarely pay attention to them unless they are required etc... I am posting this here because it is job quest only and I can't find anything in quest posts or through easy searches here in SP that help me with this.
So, after getting 2nd job I got this quest form the instructor "Dirty Treasure Map" Under the summary it says "lets uncover the secrets of the treasure map." Then I also have this job quest / series from Stan "The Completed Treasure Map." I think the two are related but I am not sure. For Stan's quest he wants me to look in "The Forrest east of Henesys" for an old worn-out paper and an old key. I have looked all over that map, killed everything etc and cannot find a way to complete this quest.
Now, at this point I would normally ignore it and go on, like I was trying to do, but since I have an uncompleted job quest for the instructor I cannot get my 3rd job test quest. I am now a level 74 gunslinger and very frustrated.
Go back to the Forest East of Henesys, and go all the way to the right until you see the 2 seagulls on top of the pillars. Attack the RIGHT single with just your normal attack key, (just like breaking a box) and the paper and key pops out. Pretty easy after this part, had me confused too :f3:
Just wondering, whats a decent level to start soloing pap, and how much HP would be required?
Me and an 130 Corsair buddy killed pap in less than 20 minutes (me as a 120 bucc, with 1 Barrage and 1 DS, with 12 att pot, him with 20 att pot). He was able to take all the hits from bombs.
as soon as you can hit 10ks consistenly with your ship it be pretty easy and fast.
hp wise you need 3.8k or so the be safe for bombs, 3.5 works fine too. dealing with second form might be an issue if you cant do 12ks consistenly btw. but i dont know how sairs do that part.
Actually, I couldn't solo Pap until I could KB 2nd form consistently. We don't have Puppet or that much HP at an early level, so usually he'll just run you over. If you can figure out a way to get around this, more power to ya.
and technically you need like over 4K to do it 100%, you cant ALWAYS avoid bombs @ the bottom, but if your good than my personal opinion is i would wait till u got maxed cannon and just light PaP up, and depending on build, Maxed Bullseye makes it more efficient too, can down the thing like a few mins without even blinking now :D and when ur cannons maxed you should be.... Close to KBing 2nd body, may not be 100% but probally enough to keep it back while you run away amd cannon before it reaches you
Thanks guys. I have max cannon now and just over 4k hp, but no points in bullseye. I might just have to go in a party first to see how I do before any solos
Heard you can do the 12 stat helm quest on a TB.
How?
So i'm starting my long project of +9 10% gun, and need some quick advice
Made an 89 clean blindness today [Not going concerto or timeless, so don't try to persuade me to that direction]. That means after leveling, the worst situation is 92 clean, and 137 attack when it's done. A 100% perfect reverse would be 144 attack.
Should i just stick with this 89 or should i try to make a better base? I'm already wearing a blindness so I don't wanna clog my inventory with more untradeables. The 3~6 attack from leveling can really make things hard. My 88 base got +5 attack which was nice. But if I get lucky and get like a 92 base, it might get +3 from leveling.
So I guess it comes down to, should i really worry about a worse possible scenario of losing 7 attack? And I actually don't plan to use adv BCs so there's that to consider
Yeah, average is 82.
When I meant I wasn't using adv BC, i meant i was using intermediate. My sair is washed and has 6.9 w/o adventurer medal, so I can pretty much take anything except PB for now.
After having gone through a probably too-long argument on Basil, I was wondering if I'd been a little too forceful in my views.
Basically, this was his build.
120 - 1 ship, 2 cannon
Cannon to max (30)
Then do 2 air strike, 1 ship, til ship is at 5.
Then air strike to max .
Bullseye max.
Wrath of the Octopi max.
His argument was that since "you'll be at skeles FOREVER" you should do air strike instead of torpedo, because apparently skeles "hardly ever form tight mobs". Personal experience made me take offense to such a statement, so I had to respond. Keep in mind that the guy is still in his 12x, so personal experience with his own build is actually impossible. I was wondering if I was being too dismissive of a Air Strike build, or if the guy really had no idea what he was talking about.
It is unconventional, to be sure. Going without Torpedo means he's using Air Strike for pretty much all of his multi-target damage. At higher levels (perhaps 15x or 16x), Air Strike can 100% 2HKO skeles, meaning you'll never have to travel to half of your section of the map. Even though the cooldown kind of sucks, that might not end up being too bad. Bullseye is next for obvious reasons.
Wrath of Octopi instead of Rapid Fire is an interesting choice. Since he went Air Strike instead of Torpedo he could use it during training (if he had gone Torpedo you wouldn't cast it because you'd be in your boat all the time and Octo would just cause unnecessary aggro). Imagine this scenario: standing on the second platform of Skelegons casting Air Strike and Octopus the second they cool down while using Burst Fire in the downtime. I've done something similar (though with 21 Air Strike, 10 Octopus, and max Rapid Fire), and it actually worked out really well. Octopus instead of Rapid Fire actually works out incredibly well for most bosses, too.
All in all it's a weird build. Not that bad, in my opinion. He'd still do just as well at Newties as anyone else from 120 to 130, and 130 to 145ish sucks for just about any Corsair anyway. I think it would do decently at Skeles after maxing Air Strike and incredibly well at Skeles after maxing Octopus. Once Octopus is maxed, he'd probably be doing better single target damage than most other builds too. If it has problems, I'd say its that his build is only good for training at Skeles or Newties. He couldn't move over to Oblivion until he got some more Torpedo because the mobs aren't nearly thick enough there. Also, since it's not spammable, it will suck raising Air Strike because it's only barely worth using at levels 1 to 20. I honestly can't think of any disadvantages to being forced to use Burst Fire instead of Rapid Fire for a while -- damage aside. Dusk is doing somewhat of a similar build (he said he max Air Strike early, and he's doing Octo before Rapid, but he did do Torp already), so maybe he'll have some opinions on this.
I'd like to see it done though. I think it would train somewhat more slowly from 130 to 140, about the same from 140 to 149ish, and then better once Octopi is over level 10. Assuming Skelegon training from 130 on, of course. It is also somewhat likely that he had no idea why its a pretty good build, because Skelegons is one of the most mobby places in the game.
Hmmmm i don't really see Octo as a good training aid @ skeles or newties or oblivion but i do however think Torpedo is a much better help in training, and from what ive seen yes there is the high chance for mobs of skeles of at least 3, take for instance, you start off near the left, then a round of spawning pops up u get 2 on the left of the bottom and 3 on the right, if the 3rd from the right moves at all to the Right then u can hit all 3 with torp Easy easy and as long as your not like 6hkoing them with torp it should be faster then using cannon, but i guess u COULD use the Octos to agro the skeles on purpose at the far ends and stay in the middle and kill em as they come to you >.>
Any build can work, its usually a matter of kill Style some people prefet to spam air strike every 5 seconds no matter what and some people dont use it at all, some like to freeze all mobs even if they 2hko and are using Cannon only and some ppl will just jump around and spam cannon like mad, "What might be right for u might not be rightfor some" out of Rapid fire torp and Airstrike theyre all ~ as useful as each other on skeles i think...... just try em all and see whats up.
Hi i need a quick wtp do you put on a reverse in terms of stats.
I'm going to make one in a few hours, I'm applying an advance diamond, but i don't know much else to put on besides a power crystal. What would be best to put in the last slot a black/dark (whichever one is for watk) or a stat booster (speed/accuracy/dex)
thanks :D
Should I max Maple Warrior after 21 or 30 Battleship Torpedo? I'm really anxious to get the extra strength to help equip my gun with lower STR. 21 Torpedo is a 3-4 hit skele for me no matter what.
