Kalovale Wrote:That is the extent of responsibility we're talking about. There is NO way you can guarantee a 0% chance of mishaps taking place. You BELIEVE and HOPE your dog won't poop on the beach, not rest assured that he won't.

You could reach near 100% success rate of avoiding these issues if you where to avoid the beach (In Obama's case, get out of these illegal wars). However, we dont see this option being exercised and it seems to be ignored.
There are of course other options, and we have to remember that this isnt just like a dog and it's owner. Its more like a kennel and the manager would be Obama. He still has plenty of people under him to watch the dogs and assist him.

Edit: I should have said this earlier but, there is a major difference between pooping and torturing. The act of pooping is a necessary bodily function. Torture... is a choice.

The causes of the current economic crisis can be traced back to when Clinton and Congress repealed Glass-Stegall (interestingly enough, a law meant to prevent a second great depression). I also see no evidence that Bush caused a Tsunami (same goes for Obama causing it to rain).

Aside from that, it was Bush's war and Guantanamo, but now it is Obama's and he doesnt seem to be showing signs of ending either.

While I agree that our nation's officials are party responsible for many things, I don't think they're responsible for the things others do. They're responsible for making sure they are properly punished for their wrong doings.

The U.S. Army has already stepped forward and apologized for the action of those soldiers. The problem I have is that Obama has said nothing. I have a serious problem with his constant "wait and see" attitude on pretty much everything that happens. Its almost like he doesnt know what to do so he just waits till someone else says or does something and then he jumps on board with it like he going to say that. It is just absurd.

Looks like this is moving forward nicely.

Also a good note is a conversation one platoon member had with his dad:

Quote:Spc. Winfield reported to these incidents to his father Christopher Winfield, a veteran, through Facebook chat in February 2010. When his father asked, "Was it an Afghan they killed?" he replied, "Yes. Some innocent guy about my age just farming. They made it look like the guy threw a grenade at them and mowed h im down. I was on the Stryker and wasn't on the ground when it took place. But I know they did it because they told me. Everyone pretty much knows it was staged. If I say anything it's my word against everyone. There's no one in this platoon that agrees this was wrong. They all don't care. ... I have proof that they are planning another one in the form of an AK-47 they want to drop on a guy." "How many are involved?" "Well, it was two guys who did it, actually killed the dude. But the whole platoon knew about it for the most part. I think our platoon leader doesn't know and maybe like two dudes. Everyone just wants to kill people at any cost. They don't care. The Army is full of a bunch of scumbags I realized."

It just goes to show just how far things have come. At least there is some justice being done fairly quick.
