There were some episodes that were mixed fillers with real things, so I skipped the anime and read the manga, but the scans were TERRIBLE in 9pannels so I didn't like it much, anyway I'll probably watch the anime until I catch up and then read the manga from there, like I did for Naruto. Also, I skip the filler episodes for anime so it's not that much.

I watched the anime until the start of enies lobby. What annoyed me with it is they are trying to make an episode per chapter so the scenes are amazingly slow, and it takes too much time to watch it all. That's why I switched to the manga. It's much faster, but I really miss the epic moments and the fights. Sometimes in the manga, I need time to figure out what move is the character using,and what he's doing in a fight. No problem with this in the anime.

I really hope anyone fucks anyone up. Been a long time without action and i want to see what the crew can do now! But FUUUU hodi is fast on track to shirahoshi and luffy and they haven't even met with jinbei yet. ;-; Also i dont know why jinbei said for luffy not to fight hodi. His power doesn't seem that great compared to what luffy can do even before the training.

They really did a really great job with the march to Arlong Park that surpassed how great that scene was in the manga.
One Piece has probably one of the better never-ending shonen animes I've seen; although the really slowed down episode pace, fillers, and how long the anime is running are why I don't also watch the anime.

I think you actually meant that Vander Decken is on Luffy and Shirahoshi's tail. I'm curious, though. Is the Straw Hat crew going to be able to beat Hodi and the rest of his crew without Luffy? I really think they can pull it off, especially after their training for if they really want to fight well in the New World, although I may be overestimating their growth a tad too far. Luffy definitely can beat Vander Decken, without a doubt. I'm curious about the prophecy about the island, and how this whole situation might have led to that prediction.

Yeah i confuse vander decken and hodi for some reason. I probably heard the name hodi and thought it was directed at vander which results in my confusion of the two characters. In that case the "don't fight hodi" warning is still interesting. He was the character that took those pills or whatever that multiplied his strength? Is that his only power or does he have a fruit power that makes him even more dangerous to the point where jinbei thinks luffy doesn't stand a chance?
And yes, no chapter today. Forever sad.

I still don't get why the new fishman pirates are even a threat to Luffy and co. I mean, Zolo hasn't even used his third sword yet. The only thing the fishmen got going for them, is that they can just drown them all (except Brooke).

Dude, did you completely missed a chapter or something? Hodi popped about 4-5 of these super pills and instantly was able to wreck an entire pirate ship.
