Dunno, I questioned myself about it when it came out like that. Kage from Hanabira reminded me of the mage weapon for which I entered a discussion years ago in Maple on how to pronounce it and apparently people say it as Cage. Whereas Shikage just comes naturally like that, it reminds me of anime and japanese.
