Is there any way I could get accurate copies of phantom's skill table? Fiel's extraction has the updates to lv30 of the skills (Ultimate Drive, Card Tempest, etc.) but not the scaling, which I need for the damage calculator I'm working on.
Also for Blanc Carte/non-maxed Noir Carte, I know it can only proc once per attack, but does the proc chance apply to each crit you get? To explain by way of example:
If proc chance applies once then on Ultimate Drive (2 hits) with 50% crit rate and 50% Blanc/Noir Carte activation:
Chance of at least one critical = (1 - (1 - crit chance)^#hits) = (1 - (1 - .5)^2) = 75%
Chance of Blanc/Noir Carte = .75 * .5 = 37.5%
Or if proc chance applies to each critical then:
Chance of one critical: 50%
Chance of two critical: 25%
Chance of Blanc/Noir Carte = .5*.5 + (1 - (1 -.25*.5)^2) = .25 + .234375 = ~48.5%
@Locked, 2nd job is off by 1 more point.
34. 3 Cane Booster (6)
35. 3 Cane Mastery (8)
36. 3 Cane Mastery (11)
Is Phantom Charge supposed to actually push enemies? It currently isn't and makes it relatively useless
2 extra SP in 2nd job, cannot be used in 3rd job?
What are the benefits of maxing Call of Fate before Brise Carte? Brise Carte hits 10 mobs at level 1, knocks back and has greater range from what i can tell, so why is Call of Fate a more popular choice?
It seems bugged.
It's supposed to chain into Carte Mille in order to combo fluidly, but there's a delay when trying to use it with Mille right now. I regret putting the 1st point into it.
Phantom can't apply SP from other job advancements. The extra 2 SP are left there to rot.
Calling Card hits three times, whereas Carte Mille only hits once and has a noticeable delay between uses when you successfully hit monsters.
Yeah, just now got it to work.
Doesn't really give you much time to do it properly, but whatever, it's still crap.
Edit: Stole Shade Splitter off a Hermit and it's far superior to everything Phantom learns in 3rd job, and helps train in harder areas much easier for more exp.
Given phantom has no stance i find AoE skills to be fairly useless unless you ohko. Granted this is off me using thunderbolt at level 60 at aliens, sooo
I'm sure HS will be the only thing that's used ever for 3rd job slot, but if you need a good mobbing skill that keeps you away from danger then Shade Splitter is the way to go.
Charge is utter garbage and is only useful in 4th job when you link it with that card rain crap. It's not very practical to use in 3rd job, but that's just my opinion. It's pretty sucky when you use it and Cart Blanc just procs giving the mobs hit by it invincibility frames, then you just shoot passed them, like ''Oh oops''.
I'm still using Calling Card in 3rd, Coat of Arm's range is terrible.
I've found Carte Mille->Phantom Charge->Coat of Arms to be a decent combo on mobs that I don't 1hko easily (read: things that I still miss a lot on). It's a little slow, but it's quite efficient on flat maps like Aliens/MP3/Sahel/Roids. Carte Mille pushes them all together, Phantom Charge rushes you to where they're all together, Coat of Arms used as the finisher because 4x hits and it hits all the mobs.
Hold on, are you supposed to combo Brise Carte -> Phantom Charge, or the other way around? I've been doing the former. Basically what Aflac said ^
