I had the opportunity to spend at least an hour on custom games testing various routes on some of the junglers that I frequently use in my matches today. (Champs used include Amumu, Cho'Gath, Nocturne at this point in time). As you know, I'm frequently in the jungle for a lot of the matches I play, and for those that played with me in countless games, this is simply an understatement.

This is my opinion on the new jungle.

While Riot had every good intention about what they were trying to get across about the new jungle changes - including having an option of keeping up in levels/gold if lanes are ungankable by any means - I think they overdid this change a bit too much. The jungle creeps feel like weak ****, literally. Josh calling it "wet noodles" was a simple understatement by any means. The gold gain and the EXP gain felt a bit weaksauce. Conducting ganks now become more of a srs business type of deal. If I - lets say - gank on Amumu and don't land that good Q, not only did I **** up big time, I just simply made myself underleveled and underfarmed while attempting this. I could make myself a huge liability to my team by being a underleveled piece of **** for the entire match unless I get lots of successful ganks in. And I have to make 110% of it, or I literally fail outright.

While Riot had said that they did this change so more jungler options could be available for use, I think it did completely opposite of what was intended. The jungling changes meant that junglers who have the capabilities to do fast clears are now at the top of the food chain, and the other junglers who don't have these capabilities are now left in the dust, basically.

Riot has said that they are open for fixing up the jungle if they see that the changes they made are not viable. Here are the possible options they could do:

1) Increase gold gain for certain creeps in certain camps
2) Increase EXP gain in certain camps
3) Revert the entire jungle back to its original form

At this moment though, the jungle changes are having a HUGE impact on the current metagame. Now the 2-1-2 lane setup is starting to become an alternative viable option instead of the previous 1-1-2 + jungler setup.

Now before you dispute me about this, I have a simple request: Go try this out yourself before you say anything. Its one thing to theorize how things will go based on a bunch of words from the patch notes, but its completely different when you go try it out yourself and see what's going on in your own eyes
