I like the way the Economy is in KMS. It doesn't seem so corrupt, to me.
If we get the potential/rating scroll system, then I think our economy will level out like theirs.

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Cactuar - 2010-07-19

Isaac, you're missing the point. The point is scrolls will deflate because they'll be "the extra thing you go to for stats" after potential. Face it, no matter what you scroll it is not going to measure up to something like +10% Mainstat.

Yes, but stat whores might still want to have, say, 4 30s on their weapon. It might be worth it to get the 30s in before the 'yellow stars' or some other order perhaps.

In that sense, extremely well scrolled pre-potential system gear may still have a chance to immediately become godly post-potential system gear. It's not all a loss.

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Piggy 2.0 - 2010-07-19

So its only 1 level 10 char per account right?

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Worthyness - 2010-07-19

Arroz Wrote:why yes i am aware, still which one do you honestly think has more priority now? My money is on the % aspect. After you have that done then you can work on the scrolling

The percent increase ECLIPSES normal scrolling. a mere 5% of a primary stat (assuming around 600 at leve 12x-13x) is +30 of the main stat. that's like a VERY well scrolled overall nowadays. these scrolls allow people to do the scrolling of maybe 7-10 scrols with just 1. Not to mention that 1 scroll also has a higher chance of success than the 7-10 scrolls do.

AND THEN you can go even further and scroll normally therby incrasing that initial 5% bonus (which was +30 main stat) to even MORE(+x more depending on how well the normal scrolling goes).

All i really want now is for the scrolls to become decently common so as to not be another chaos scroll that's worth hundreds of millions of mesos that normal players can't normally afford without having connections to split boss runs or NX merchanting (or merchanting in general). I think a fair price for the average person would be around 5 mil ish, seeing as a player can amass maybe 1-2 mil within 30 levels of training.

It doesn't say that but I imagine that's how it'll work.

lol it isn't by a long shot considering those scrolls' success rate diminishes with each subsequent use. My advice maker new stuff focus on the % stats. If it's good scroll it how you want conservatively and from there add like 3 stars max the gear won't be OMG GODLY but hell the stuff it adds is just a decent boost on top of the % part

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - SwordStaker - 2010-07-19

Yes sure its great but hell. This is how its gonna work. God knows these scrolls are gonna cost pinappling fortune which is going to draw a VERY VERY fine LINE between the haves and the have nots. Everyone can use it thats a given but the way the GMS community is,it's just so corrupt. The GMS community is going to abuse this system to much, causing the dexless to become more stuck up and those who can't afford to have all this amazing gear, to be left in the dust further than they already were. This whole system is corrupt for those who can afford to OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN scroll their gear to insane measures which others DO NOT have the money to do so.

If cactuar is wrong, I'm going to pull an all-nighter making and deleting these little bastards. This does not bode well for my equinox though...

I know right? I haven't even worn mine yet and now it's gonna get outclassed in 1 patch T.T It was mediocre before; now it's abysmal...

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Phoenix - 2010-07-19

Hmm, I'm pretty sure we'll see the reset scrolls in the Cash Shop as well. Too big an opportunity to pass up.

I have to agree though, now till the balance patch we're about to see things overpowered up the wazoo and a sever gap between those who choose to use these and those who don't

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Cactuar - 2010-07-19

So... this just made me really happy I kept my Cloak of Corruptions and my Elnathian capes. Hello level 100 and 120 capes.

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-07-19

My reaction to the news of potentials system in the already awesome patch;

Upon review, it seems these events only work on newly registered accounts, so abusing 2x EXP isn't possible. If they screw up the Potential System event somehow, I will be pissed. Plus, this probably means no Purple Surfboard event. Sad

Where does it say that? I read "any character".

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - Alilatias - 2010-07-19

Hm, Potential system, huh?

Now the question is, will KMS' permanent 10x equip drop rate and 2x scroll drop rate be implemented as well? And can equips dropped from monsters already have a chance to be unidentified, like in KMS? Time to wait and see...

The Cure for the Summertime Blues! - donovan - 2010-07-19
