Agreed. I say this has created a leak in the GMS economy. Items are going one way without anything coming back the other way. The "free" items get sold again, and the hackers have their money back. <_<

The market is already ruined. Removing the bullsh`it taxes in MTS would be a thousand times better for the market than pulling this crap.
Besides that, no one who glitched the mesos has them anymore. They're not stupid. They keep up with this kind of stuff. The only people with glitched mesos are innocent bystanders.
There's nothing fair about this 'fix'.

100% Agreed. I had set up my shop and set maple to low settings while running aother game last night before heading to bed. I hadn't heard about this prior to that, then this morning I saw my stuff sold which I was excited for since I had a chair I had been holding onto for a while sell. I priced it at what one friend said they saw it sell for within the past week, but didn't bother double checking myself so I figured it was a little overpriced. In terms of chairs, people typically are willing to shell out a variety of values since they don't have any actual value. I thought nothing of it, but took note of the person who bought it as I have in the past with rare items (to me) like the only one time I found ilbis. Later this morning I checked SP and started reading up on this and during my reading, the game went down.
I mean, not everyone in the FM is going to catch on to current news within a couple of hours. For many people it takes days unless things are placed blatantly in front of them or the game goes down entirely as it has. If they can't manage to find a fair way to reslove this, I'm standing by my boycott for good and giving up on trying to earn anything through the MTS. (Besides, the free maple points should cover part of what I had planned.)
EDIT: Noticed this topic isn't particularly related to this thread and could go in one of the others. On topic, 1 week for a new class shouldn't hurt too much.

You don't think they knew what was going on? They're trying to cash in for a massive compensation while helping the hackers spend their meso. The only thing you could have done is not set up a shop. Everyone was talking about it, 90% of them knew what was going on.
I had no idea this was going on at all, my guild, alliance and Buddy list never mentioned anything..Hence why this maintenence and reschedule came out of the blue for me. Clueless? Gee thanks a ton. I'm sorry that I'm not as well informed as the 90% of maple that surrounds you are. >_>
