Please stop trying to use the lower class as a pretence for your whingeing.
There are a lot of classes which can get 90% or more overall PDR without spending anything.
30% (Leafre Set) + 20% (Light Wash 3) + 30% (Aria Armor/Battle Rage/what have you) + 10% (Max Ambition)
Even if you have only Light Wash 2 (which is reasonable to get, unlike 3) and level 0 Ambition, that's still a respectable 75%. And there are a lot of skills that have defense ignore tacked on to them as well, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that a level 170 Marksman ignores 100% of the defense of a boss.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
Since we have a lot of confusion about the EXP lines... I'd recommend extending them a bit. I think I could handle like another 5 lines on my screen. Otherwise it goes by too fast for me to actually read the exp. If anything, it can have a open/close switch, kind of like the quests on the left side of the screen.

Then, there is the problem of scale on which this occurs as well. An unfunded player losing 30% of his damage is a going to be hit a lot softer than a funded player losing the same. 70% of pomegranatety damage is still pomegranatety damage, and won't make or break your bossing (assuming you'll be bossing at all in the first place). For other intents and purposes, where PDR does start mattering, it would be the middle-class at bosses. That's where the majority of the complaints are coming from.
That's cool. But saying that the unfunded are getting hit hard? That's hardly going to earn you any sympathy points.

Speak for yourself.
Some classes or skills have an innate Ignore DEF ability (Heros, for example, get 50% from Combat Mastery).
Codex Leafre set requires no funding, but might need a friend to take you to HT for the card. Hoblin King set (15% Ignore DEF) is dead easy.
If you PQ at all you're going to have some Ambition. Even maxing Ambition is not hard without funding. Only takes about twice as long as doing it with funding.
Takes maybe a week to get a link skill Luminous to level 70, even for the unfunded and inexperienced.
15% Ignore DEF is actually a lot more common on low-rank potential weapons. It's the funded people, who cube for Boss Damage, that don't have Ignore DEF on their weapons.
Edit: Ninja'ed heavily, so I'll respond to your next point:
Ignore DEF doesn't apply only to bossing. It also applies to training. Even a mere 20% PDR hurts when you're not doing enough damage to 1-hit everything in sight ten times over.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
All I'm gonna say is the more comments I read and the more information I get, the more disappointed I am with the patch.
I'm mostly disappointed in the boss changes.
Bossing is a part of this game just like everything else is. But if you don't have a 500k+ max range, there's absolutely no point in trying to take on a boss, even if you're in a party.
What could have been an awesome patch turned out disappointing because of 2 last minute changes:
1. The exp nerfs at aliens and Jesters and the removal of party play in LHC. (Though this isn't a big deal for me, but it seems like it is for a lot of people)
2. The boss changes that we all thought we weren't gonna get. Then we were gonna get a few and then SURPRISE! All KMS boss changes.
This is our summer update, where people are supposed to be the most active.
People are leaving.
I'll still be hanging around and exploring, but what's the point of being a high level if you can't go bossing like you previously could? I've spent quite a few hundreds on this game, and my range can only reach up to 117k (without For Liberty, TaC and Battle Rage) with 114% PDR and 57% Bossing which, IMO, isn't that bad, it's more than I ever thought it would be, but it is NOT enough anymore.

20% PDR over whatever your mob's Defence Rate is. The average mob? 20% at most. If you think that 4% damage is going to make a difference when training, then all the more power to you.

Isn't it amazing how people swing from "Best patch ever!" to "Worst patch ever!" so quickly? And that's not even counting the downtime.
To be honest, I don't understand why Nexon (or, specifically, Girasol and Waltzing) felt the need to mislead us with the Update Highlights and the posts on the forums painting a glowing picture of what was to come. Did they really think we wouldn't realize the bad news when it hit us? That we wouldn't be disappointed and angry? Was the love and praise heaped on them really worth the ensuing fury? Did enough people buy NX in preparation for a good patch, to make up for those rage-quitting now?
I do believe nerfing Jesters, Aliens, and LHC was long overdue. Nobody was using 99% of the game's content, which is absurd. And the amount of KS'ing and hacking going on there was horrible.
But the PDR and boss changes were unnecessary (and having the Ignore DEF show up misleadingly additive in the UI, is downright despicable), and removing Monster Park Extreme was unnecessary (could have reduced the number of free tickets, if there was a concern that people would train there exclusively).

20% PDR is what the mobs have.
50-100% PDR Ignore is what an unfunded player has.
So we're talking 10-20% less damage, which does make a difference when training on mobs you can't 1-hit.

Yeah, I was pretty excited and I was liking what I was seeing from the updates. But the more they updated, the more people became angry and disappointed.

I really have no clue, but I don't put any blame on them because they told us what they were told. Just happened that the things that they told which turned out to be a total lie was because they were last minute changes, bad ones at that.

Wait wait wait... so we did get the PDR changes on top of that?!

Yeah, my boyfriend already quit, one of my friend will probably quit because he would kill Empress for revenue but he can't anymore and I'm sure a lot more friends will be quitting as well.
I'll still be coming on and exploring the new areas and such, but that'll get boring fast.

Yes.
Tested it myself. UI says I have 129% ignore def, yet "somehow" my damage on Chief Oblivion Guardians (20% PDR) is lower than on White Fangs (5% PDR). Both are normal mobs, so this is not just a bossing issue.

You would be surprised on what 4% dmg can do i mean it can make someone go from not always 1hkoing to always 1hkoing

... :f3:
That's all.
I was told we weren't gonna get it. I was told we were gonna get some PDR changes but not the same as KMS's. I told them (repeatedly!) not to bring the changes because it can turn an awesome patch into a horrible one.
They brought everything and more...
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
Did they ever post a feedback topic for the boss changes like Girasol mentioned? :f1:

Wait, so you're assuming that under this new PDR formula, players who had 50-100% ignore suddenly have 0% now?

No, but I did.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
People are leaving? All i'm seeing is a flood of gach messages, plummeting FM prices, and the entire FM itself full of shops.
We haven't even had any new classes released...that's when everyone is supposed to be on...
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
I take it Girasol is gonna be the new Hime?
