Had a fantastic birthday; started the day with Taco Bell breakfast for the first time and just got back from the casino with more than I took! :)
Spending my last week of freedom being sick T-T
But I did make some pretty awesome home-made chicken noodle soup. None of that condensed crap :f3:
Day was fun, had lunch in a nice place with my mom and a cousin. Later on, I went to a place where friends play mtg and talked with them for a while. I'm feeling tempted to start playing again but I'm not sure. I'd like to do it "competitively" and it might be somewhat expensive that way. Friend told me he'd come up with a cheap deck so I could try it and whatnot and see if I want to spend on it or not.
EXO Concert was A$$MAZING. it was totally worth my 300 bucks when senpai noticed me, the lone fanboy in a moshpit full of vaginas.
3 more days... :f4:
i might have accidentally "broke" my back yesterday, it hurts.
classes start tomorrow!!! so excited :glitter:
Went out with that guy again, we drank, we talked, had a merry old time, the standard fare.
..until I accidentally put my head on his shoulder while he was showing me something on his phone, while we were sat on a couch in a pub. He didn't move away so i rolled with it and didn't move away either.
As we left the pub to walk to the train station we talked about what happened and he said he liked it, we were early for the train so we ended up sitting down in an area with a gorgeous view and I put my head on his shoulder again and we talked, and that led to eventual hand holding, and a kiss (or 3). It was super sweet.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Cleaned up a friends computer, she bought me lunch at some restaurant in downtown annapolis, walking out I came across a friend who was working her second job at the theater, she asked if we wanted free tickets, so we said sure and went to go see guardians of the galaxy. I already saw it but she didn't, so I was more watching her watch it, she then took me in to watch true blood with her family
iPhone was stolen from my job....
HAHAHHAHAA. For whatever reason one of our systems doesn't work with adobe version, the guy had to install google chrome to my machine. Finally, I synced up the extentions to my browser, got adblock and no ad youtube. BEAUTIFUL.
Following on from last nights post, he's taking me to the cinema on Thursday :)
I think the majority of my day so far has just been thinking about last night and smiling like an idiot.
Oh also I helped move some furniture in my grandparents house.
Just got home from my first day of college. Only had one class today so it was pretty easy. When I walked in, I saw two kids I knew from High School, and one had the same class as me, so at least I knew someone. :f3: At least my math professor seams nice so far.
Had to go to the bookstore to get my book for Math and that was packed, it wrapped around the whole store and there was no AC in there... :f7: But other than that, a pretty good day so far.
Selected to present my abstract and received anonymous feedback on it (though, I'm pretty sure one of the reviewers is my friend's dad). It was better received than I thought it'd be. I have to give a practice talk to my research group in like two days, while also fixing up some little things.
And school starts next week, I am so ready for this.
Three of my physics classes are in the exact same room :f3:
...both of my math classes are in the same room, and my bayesian data analysis class is the room next to where my physics classes are.
Elementary Topology looks like it'll be straightforward/easy.
Classical Algebra looks like it'll be a pain in the ass with proofs and annoying crap like that.
Intro to Cosmology sounds like it'll be f'ucking sweet. We'll see, it's a grad level class and I'm taking it as a junior lol
Quantum looks like it'll be easy. Big class for a 400 level physics, though (about 40).
E&M is going to kill me.
Bayesian sounds tough, but incredibly useful. It's another grad/undergrad class, and I'm going to choose the option to be graded as a grad student because I love this professor and when I do better than the grad students in the class he can put that on a letter of recommendation for when I apply to grad school.
Speaking of grad school -- I will be completing a B.S. in physics and a B.A. in math this year, but it's looking like it might not be wise to graduate in three years. Research labs haven't gone so well for me, so I essentially have no experience. That sure won't get me into CalTech. I might be able to get into research this year on using Bayes to find exoplanets!
Haven't decided what I'll do with my 4th year here. Possible options (currently) include: turning math B.A. into a B.S.; taking 30 credits of grad level courses (Bayes/Cosmology might count for 3 credits each if I take both as a "grad" student); to graduate with a M.S. in Physics; or adding on a computer science minor.
EXCITING TIMES
Only a few days left before I leave home and head to Vancouver, where I'll be starting my first year in undergrad. Kinda nerve-wracking actually, but can't say I'm not excited about it.
Outside of that, feeling kind of pomegranate'y because of some stuff between myself and a close friend of mine and us not seeing eye to eye regarding the issue. I wrote kind of a long winded apology to her explaining my side and all that, but I still don't believe I'm fully to blame for the problem. :f3:
No matter what you do or what you say, some people are just plain pimentos.
My skin doctor looked at me weird when I told him I found out I'm sensitive to silicones.
He's gonna make me his guinea pig for a new product hes trying to introduce to Singapore.
Also bought some supplies for my internship(A new mickey mouse pencil case!!!!!!omg!!!!!). Although I've been working part-time for like 4 years now, I've never had an office job before, much less a job that i actually WANT to be doing... :s
The internship my dad tried getting me is actually for a company that makes CNC parts. The only thing is,it is a technical writer position, and it may be a bit outsie what I am comfortable tackling, but we will see where it goes if it works out.
