That's exactly how I do it now.
Very annoying and it took time to get it down to a semi-science. BF won't think to stomp you most times if its busy running at you. So if you DS and run right at it, it'll bypass you. Then you can come out and FJ away to get some space. Just make sure you don't come out without sufficient space away from the swinging Lollipop and don't stay in that too long, otherwise it might try to stomp.

Too bad I didn't take my SS of tanking Bigfoot's touch damage yet. Now, it's unlikely for me to be able to get that close without getting owned by the stomp.
Does he only stomp when aggro'ed? That's the only thing I can think of to make traveling through Phantom Forest easier.
Also, did they change his "width" like they changed his "height"? I used to be able to tele through him with ease.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the feedback thus far. We're looking into the Stage 2 issues with the CKPQ, as that never happened on the Test server, as well as Bigfoot--obviously, he's not supposed to stomp you for that much. However, the best way to bypass him for now is to work your way through the quests, which give you an item that bypasses most of the maps where he is...of course, we know that this isn't that easy as you have to wander through the forest in the first place, so sit tight and we'll work that one out.
About the rewards in the CKPQ room, that's partially intended. Looking at the overall schedule, we'd like to see some of the late 3rd/early 4th Job players move up for what's ahead. So, storybooks like the Ancient Book or Burning Book of Fire as well as equips and some skillbooks would have to be more available. Given that the challenge, we felt it was only fair to give something worth that effort, to empower you further to progress in the game. Now, that's not to say it'll never change...that always can.

I dont see how bigfoot was "fixed".
1. Bigfoot is now faster
2. Bigfoot now does 33k with stomp dmg
3. Bigfoot has grown up, making it hard/impossible to jump over
If anything, I feel that there are even MORE glitched frames now than before, as it takes even longer to kill now...
That being said, it is definitely NOT impossible to kill and just requires more strategy/skill (whatever skill you may find is necessary to play this game). It's faster (doesnt get stuck in corner for as long), requiring more timing in terms of buffing and potting in order to keep it pinned and when it gets unpinned, its harder to repin, that's all.
In terms of killing, its highly possible to do it without a myriad of deaths, but being careless, I died... 4-5 times (I made sure to level before testing this out and grabbed charms out half way through). I ended up getting to a few %, then losing it a few times, then wasting 2 charms.

Im not sure actually. I dont sell leech so I really have no idea how it works. My friend wants to level his sin/hermit via bigfoot and provides me apples to kill for him so its a win win. Its been this way since his sin was level 30 all the way up to it being 77 now and Ive always gotten full exp + party exp (which would be the same as having non-leeching hs while killing bigfoot). Im not sure what the cause is, but maybe its because we always use a PG mule, even though his sin can hit bigfoot now. We have the PG mule run into bigfoot, then leave it dead on the map while I kill. Again, Im not sure how the logistics work there, but Im assuming that the amount of exp the hermit/sin is leeching is minimal, enough for holy symbol to make it up back to its "original" amount plus the party bonus.

With a leecher of that level difference, HS should still be giving you 110%. That isn't 110%, though, unless that includes the party benefit.

If you leech someone with HS, which you have, and the level difference is big enough, the percent you reach acts like a limit and approaches 110%.
