Same here. They could stand to release some kind of instanced story mission chain or something that brings together the storyline of every class (that would mean that it would be tied-in with the Maple Alliance; it's kinda retarded having the whole Alliance thing be just for show, after all).

As it is, everything's so disjointed that it feels more like Maple Stories than Maple Story even though all of the factions and individuals are largely related. Adding the Cygnus Generals while keeping the Cygnus Knight branch would be really stupid. Adding the Generals as a replacement of each one of the old knights would be the smartest decision. I think it is general consensus that the current knights are useless for anything but the Empress blessing skill. It wouldn't be like getting new jobs but like getting a high revamp to the current CK, which brings storyline and new skills that set them in their own branch instead of being clones of adventurers with a couple perks. Just don't give them lazers or hurriane-like skills, I beg you. Cygnus are getting hypers - Dark Link - 2012-10-21 Polantaris Wrote:On....what mobs? The only mobs I can think of that are weak to Lightning after 120 are Vikings, and the 120s aren't exactly training "hard times." When was the "Lightning stacking" mechanic added into the game? As well as the added elemental weaknesses to ToT mobs? I can't remember if both were added during the first "balance" patch for Paladins or later during BB... It was the balance patch. I remember it being pre BB. Cygnus are getting hypers - Dark Link - 2012-10-21 If that's the case, then Oblivion mobs were Ice + Lightning weak when those changes were added in, but I definitely remember the stacking not fully working and trying to use Ice + Lit on Oblivion mobs actually warranted lower damage than compared to only use Ice or Lightning alone. I remember still using Ice at OB4, because the added damage, from standalone Lightning, wasn't worth the damage intake / pot use, unless you 100% one-shot OB4 mobs. Cygnus are getting hypers - deadend5193 - 2012-10-21 Why doesn't Nexon just remove the level cap and give Cygnus 4th job? It would save the time of having to create Cygnus instructors as classes and it would finally be worthwhile to make Cygnuses. The level 120 cap made sense years ago when they were first released but now it just makes them obsolete. Giving hypers to classes that can only reach lv 120 just doesn't make any sense. Lightning stacking definitely was not part of BB, but way earlier. I don't remember exactly when, but I do remember having that ability before BB. The first third job I ever got was a White Knight, way back when. At some point I wanted to try playing the game again (Like after Cygnus was added) and I had the ability to stack Lightning Charge. I don't know a thing about ToT prior to BB, though, so I can't answer that one. deadend5193 Wrote:Why doesn't Nexon just remove the level cap and give Cygnus 4th job? Probably because they'd have to manually require every Cygnus to re-allocate everything, which I think would be a tad more work than "Here's an AP/SP reset. Do it if you want." If they were to make Cygnus Lv.200 characters, they would have to remove their benefits for NOT being Lv.200 characters now, otherwise there would be huge disadvantages. I don't think Mikhail gets the extra AP, which is mostly what I'm talking about here. If he does, the fk. Maybe it would require a bit of work, but it's still better than the limited use that Cygnuses have in game. Well...I admit that I would definitely delete and remake my Wind Breaker if an Irena class was released. The Eagle Eye skill description just fascinates me a lot so that's one class I would play even though I already have a Bowmaster. And shush, we all know Nexon loves lasers and hurricanes. Just give me Hurricane and some other unique skills and I'll deal.
