It's called DOS (Denial Of Service), same kind of atack that anonymus likes to use.
But then again you may be reight becouse with DOS it just go down BOOM, not like this that goes down little by little, some channel don't, cash shop and mts survive (some times), so yea thinking about it i may have given the rumors too much credit

Anonymous are good hackers but when it comes to know anything even close to politics they're like a deer in the headlights.
It's definitely Nexon servers, hackers have nothing to do with the actual crashing. People wanted to look for more then nexon to blame.

^I wouldn't put much faith in that thread. That guy is not a Nexon employee. He could just be bs-ing or parroting Nexon's official line.
In Nexon's world there is no such thing as channel/server crashes by hackers. Only instabilities.
Oh, and meso and item duplication is not possible. Maple tips told me so.
