CarrionCrow Wrote:Indeed. My quest specialist count is at 1225 and I have 345 event quests finished. Though some of them might be multi-part, it cannot make up for the lack of 2000+ quests.

Off Topic: Damn I've fallen behind. I've only got like 288 event quests finished. Was each day of each week of the every day of the week something different event rehash counting towards a quest on it's own? On this note I have seen some renewed interest here and there, so why don't we restart the quest kings?

Somewhat on topic: They must count every NPC dialog related to quests that has a yes or no option or something if they think there's 4000. Far more beyond the simple classification of sub-quests.

Stereo Wrote:The Quest Specialist medal does count multi-part quests and people still only see totals around 1000, maybe 1100 by now. I find it hard to believe that 75% of the quests are event things.

You aren't counting job only quests. In the data there might be over 4000 quests. Just because the Quest Specialist count or your event log doesn't show them all doesn't mean they aren't there. There are many quests which have been dropped or such.

How are they supporting a higher resolution come BB then? What prevents them from supporting 1080p? I wanna see ALL THE FM MWAHAHAHAHA

Unlike 3D or vector where it can just be recalculated to fit a larger screen, sprites must be redrawn by hand to fit resolutions. Its possible to make larger sprites but large sprites look weird.

Sprites hold a set height and width. the way maple story works, is that what we see is basically a viewfinder on the larger image to show us on the screen. They can adjust the size of the view finder, but certain things like the character sprites and monster sprites will appear smaller when the screen size is still bigger than the shown size.

You can do pixel doubling to make the image appear 4x larger, but that also increases the amount of aliasing which is undesirable.
