One More Week of Explorer's Ring Event - Stereo - 2010-07-15
1st Adventurer Weapon: requires level 1-9, can be completed at 10
2nd Explorer Weapon: requires level 10-19, can be completed at 20
Explorer Overall: requires level 20-29, can be completed at 30
Explorer Medal: requires level 30-39, can be completed at 40
Explorer Ring: requires level 40-49, can be completed at 50
Plus of course they are a quest chain that each requires the previous one to be already done.
If you don't have one of these items, check the "requires level" associated with it, and you need to be in that range.
For example my (now level 22) Thief hasn't got the Overall yet, so it needs to stay in level 20-29 in order to get the overall, medal, and ring.

As I was saying in the other thread. My friend was rolled back to 40, right after she lvled and before she talked to Cassandra for the Medal. So She's no longer eligible to restart the lvl 30-39 quest, and it voids everything.

Bah it's not that bad I guess. Better than no chance at getting it at all. As long as dual bladers will be eligible as well, it should be fine.

argh. I'll loose a ring... my mule was level 50 on saturday but I didn't pick a ring til monday, so only the ring got rolled back, but the hard fought level 50 quest will no longer be available to me @_@

Remember, characters that didn't do the 1-9 quest cannot start this chain at all, since it's a prerequisite to the higher quests being available. In total you need to start the 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 quests, in that order, and thus stay in those level ranges until the quests become available again.
If we're very, very lucky, they'll make the level 40-49 quest available regardless of whether you'd done previous ones, and it'll be ok. But don't count on it, and definitely don't go past level 49.
I hope they change this a bit so it can be accepted and completed at 50. I ended up reaching 50 on mine the Saturday before the maintenance, but couldn't decide which ring for my Shad until Monday. The problem with that is I got RickRoll'd back to Sunday when I was still 50, but now with no quest. Hope I won't have to do it again.

I shouldnt have to "earn it back". I lost 90 hours or grinding to get two rings. I should be given them for free as I have already done the work.
And Nexon please tell me how does the "the on going 2x EXP and Drop event helps you get it back faster" help at all when you have to do the quest chain in order...

I haven't logged on my one ring mule that got rolled back so hopfully, when the event picks up again, I can just get the last 7 levels. But knowing Nexon, they might just make me start all over again. :v
All I can do is wait and see what happens...and if I have to start over, I'll just start a new character and get a ring for my hermit (or not bother because he'd still suck with it xD )
EDIT: Based on reading on some of the comments regarding being in the middle of the quest- chain, I'll most likely have to start a new character. *sad face*

I come back to do one thing, ONE thing, and Nexon manages to screw me over. I will not be grinding for 7 more levels just to get something I should already have. I've already deleted MapleStory, and I won't even be back to check out Big Bang.

Not to mention the 2x events end 2 days before the ring event is back
So no event and no Golden Temple... thanks a lot Nexon, making me work twice as hard for 3 rings I already had.

I just checked out the Nexon forum...Hime has no idea what she is talking about. I dont trust anything she says so I;m not going to risk training my rollbacked char as I will likely have to restart it, if I can be bothered earning back something I should already have!

I haven't logged in on any of my mules for both apathy and prevention. Hime can't answer pomegranate, she's never done it, don't even bother going to Nexon forums.
We still don't know if they'll restore the quest chain.
We still don't know if people who logged in and had the quest expire are screwed.
We still don't know if people who didn't log in are safer.
So yeah, no official answer = theories. That's what we have. D:

I'd be mighty surprised if this means anything other than that they will activate the questchain again by giving it a new starting and ending date. This need minimal work from their side, wheras they would need to rewrite the whole pomegranate for it to work in a new way.

I wouldnt think it would be hard to write something that gave Cassandra/Maple Admin or even Cody a "quest" that went something like,
Cody- Greetings Mapler! Please choose a complementary ring from Nexon for the stuff up we made.

True, but I think they will do the easiest possible solution from their perspective. Still, I'd love to be able to go to an NPC and claim rings on every explorer I have. xD

Not touching my mule until the patch. Haven't logged in to it yet, so it hasn't lost the quest.
It's level 47, so presumably I could level it to 49 and 99% now and save a few hours - but that would increase the risk of having to do it all over again, without Golden Temple or rental weapon.
A few hours vs. Do over? Definitely not worth the risk.
If Nexon makes us all do it over anyway, I'll probably just give up on it. Might make a DB if they can get the ring, otherwise - I have other characters to train.

Me too, >_>. one of my mules was rollbacked to level 32 but before i cleared the level 30 quest. pineapple.
Best solution would be to change the later 4 quests all to have no max starting level, but since they required you to complete the first quest, it won't matter what level you are. Doubt nexon will do it though :X
