so you level up with your precious 2x, but can't upgrade/buy gear for shyt because FM prices have been raised so high only hackers can afford to buy anything.
real smart. i dont see how you can not care about economy when upgrading or even BUYING anything will be affected.

Just to address a few quite obvious misinformed people:
People were not making max mesos in 20 mins. The way the exploit worked is that people had a leafre.dll file that they... i believe the word they used is "injected" (?) into the game. What they would do is go to tatamo and ask to donate items to him. They'd select Griffey horns (since those NPC the highest). When asked for how many to donate they'd ask to donate -4800(ish) (-4800 is for 24 open slots).
This would give them 4800 horns as opposed to taking 4800 horns from them.
This would obviously not be normally possible. They'd then go NPC these 4800 horns. That's how they got their money. Average meso gains were roughly:
170 (NPC price) * 4800 = 816k each time that they did this.
Rough gains were approximately 20m every 5 minutes. They'd need to do this 105 times to get up to max mesos meaning it takes roughly 525 minutes to get max mesos or 8 hours. There was a bot that was not publicly released (though the exploit itself was) which increased the speed of this gain.
People most likely did this overnight or from early in the morning. Seeing as how it apparently hit windia the worst, it's likely that the private botting program originated from someone from leafre.

You still don't really understand, do you. None of this should have happened to begin with. We shouldn't have to worry about the economy going to pieces overnight. People should be able to train and level up as they please, without being cut off by a meso exploit. It's ridiculous that people would even exploit such a thing, even more ridiculous that it happens on the day before the ring event ends.

Life sucks and isn't fair, and apparently that's something you need to let soak in. While you may not try to hack into a game, there are others who enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to cheat in order to gain an advantage over others.
I'm sorry your NX or whatever crap was wasted, but this is necessary.

I'm just complaining about the bad timing of it all. And then some people are like ECONOMY IS IMPORTANT HOW DARE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT TRAINING.
I'm defending my point, not saying that the server check is unnecessary, nor that the economy isn't important.

Not sure if you've seen it yet, but allow me to show you the first thread in this section of the forum. DB won't be coming out until next week, the ring event is extended for a week, etc. There's also a 2x event this weekend.

Doesn't say anything about the ring event, but I'm slightly less annoyed. Now I'm just hoping they extend the quest somehow, or at least let us back into the game.

Technically Golden Temple has quests, e.g. the chaos scroll ones and the collect/kill x number of monkeys ones which I assume would also be extended with a GT extension.

My bad then, I wasn't really paying attention to what it said since none of it really affects me.
Point is, if your training is interrupted, just go do something else to pass the time instead of spending your time on an online forum whining and complaining because you aren't able to train. These server checks keep the game running smoothly, fixing bugs and errors a little bit at a time. Without them this game would be even more screwed up than the little it already is.

Yeah, a patch would be necessary to continue all the golden temple quests, including the free ticket one, as they're all set to end on the 14th. A patch would also be needed to extend the adventurer ring event and to add more items to the one-a-day thing, unless they're just going to recycle old items.

4. the money i made selling items i collected over the weekend because Nexon said everything was ok when it wasn't.
5. The items that I sold, since Nexon won't be reversing the trade, just deleting the mesos and banning the hacker (and the items along with it.)

Complaining is one thing, but arguing that the SC never even should have happened is kind of ridiculous considering the hyperinflation that would happen (or in some servers, has happened). I'm personally losing 1.5bil over the first meso exploit, but it's in the best interest of the economy and has to be done.
