Au contraire. Unless Nexon themselves say there's been an extension, the upgrade ended 38 minutes ago.
How surprising, the game is still behaving as laggy as it did when the login server first started accepting connections, almost two hours ago.

Actually they specifically said it ended an hour early.

Eos beat me to this part, so I'll just contribute: The actual ping time to Mabi's login server, as an example, is fine, but there's a huge loss rate. (44% on a trial of 500 pings)

pinging maplestory.nexon.net I get 33% loss (over 215 attempts) and ~300ms for the rest.
Anybody know the ip addresses of the login/game servers, and whether they're configured to respond to pings?

^This. This is bad even for Nexon. Do they even realize that no one can log onto their games and STAY logged on? Or even GET to the website? *headdesk*
EDIT: I stalked them on their Facebook page a little while ago and there was no news from them about anything. But there was a whole string of people in the comments section of the post for this upgrade and they were all peaching about not being able to get logged into the game.

The first digit of the last octet is world, the 2nd is channel, with each digit answering on two ports to service two channels.
Scania CH1 for example is 63.251.217.10:8585 while CH3 and CH4 are 63.251.217.11:8585 and 63.251.217.11:8586. Bera's range is 63.251.217.20 to 63.251.217.29.
Bello's 6x, Mardia's 7x, Kradia's 8x, Yellonde's 9x, Demethos is 10x, Elnido would be 11x if it all the blocks from there weren't already taken.
