Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - Cyanne - 2009-11-01 The description on the bottom is just poison with bad wording. The background to those items are red because they have status effects on them. Kinda makes me wanna rog more now o_o Can anyone from kMS specify whether they come from drops or leather trade-ins? Because the leather thing is really, really tedious. The bain wings looks so fine. i wants it! it will totally replace my wand now. but im not confident i can scroll it though. Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - MasPan - 2009-11-01 Cyanne Wrote:Normal luk magicians are still pretty decent, it's only the lukless magicians that get huge penalties due to the static int. Normal luk magicians get more magic not from int than luklesses do. As a team of 3 attackers (PA DrK, Paladin, Hero) my squad got Balrog down to 25% HP. I used an apple with appx 7 mins left, so maybe 33% HP without doing that. Really, 4-5 warriors can do it. 6 is overkill. 4 Drks have enough damage output, 2 with apples. Dark knights are probably the best class here though, especially polearm ones, due to beholder mastery and berserk. That and I assumed people wouldn't be using apples for this, unless you really think it's worth it O.o Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - Kalovale - 2009-11-01 If you want people you can trust in Bonus, your offensive capacity will be very limited. Of course Apple is an option, but I'm happy my guild has 6~7 Drks who are of much use now. :3 Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - ArbalistMaster - 2009-11-01 Cyanne Wrote:Dark knights are probably the best class here though, especially polearm ones, due to beholder mastery and berserk. That and I assumed people wouldn't be using apples for this, unless you really think it's worth it O.owait. how do they get the beholder mastery bonus if beholder is a 4th job skill ... I thought they only got the bonus while beholder was out which needs to be casted and shouldn't be available in the fight Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - CarrionCrow - 2009-11-01 ArbalistMaster Wrote:wait. how do they get the beholder mastery bonus if beholder is a 4th job skill ... Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - MetaSeraphim - 2009-11-01 Nope, Dark Knights get the bonus even with Beholder isn't out. Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - Cyanne - 2009-11-05 Blah this got copypasted onto basil, now I have to kick all randoms =/ Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - Kalovale - 2009-11-05 Beholder has its effect on Drk's dmg the moment you click the "Up arrow" button on your skill window, so yes, it is passive. The only point of summoning Beholder is to have it stare at you for 20 minutes and/or pineapple you up at boss if you apple and have lvl 21+ Hex. Also. Could any other class other than Drk and MM take an SS of their status window inside Balrog so that we can investigate the static value of watk for all classes? Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - Cyanne - 2009-11-07 Okay, we finally found a balrog's twilight scroll, and it comes from bonus itself. We also found another 1% clean slate today, out of the about ~20 total balrogs that I've killed. No sign of any bain weapons, white scrolls, or rog scrolls other than twilight yet. I still have about 35 leathers, and I haven't turned in any leathers yet except for my first few for 30% def scrolls. Oh and also, something really weird happened today. We got up to when the second notice appears (the one that locks up the hands), and one left hand didn't lock up until we attacked it some more. After we sealed it up, the head stopped attacking and sat there doing nothing the entire rest of the time except for doing that fading into the background thing. We didn't disconnect or get autobanned or anything, and everything else went normally. I've haven't been able to duplicate that yet. Apparently, Burst Fire does not work, even though it IS passive. >.< Just weak little double shot worked... So if you put a point on it your old double fire icon changes on your keyboard, or do you need to put burst on the key instead? You put a point in it (you keep the double shot icon) and it makes double shot shoot 3 bullets instead of 2, and there is no going back to only shooting 2 bullets, except apparently in Balrog. >.< Quick Guide to the Balrog Boss - CarrionCrow - 2009-11-07 Doxinator Wrote:It is 100% passive.
