$10,000,000 just to take someone out?

I probably would not since material possessions are not really a justification for killing someone, imo. Even if it benefits my life, I would have ended someone else's life and that just goes against my morals.

On a side note, this thread reminds me a lot of this video:

No way would I do it.

Poster above: I liked the video, thanks for sharing it.

What are you going to do with the money? Blow it all in a few weeks like most lottery winners and then live with the guilt for life?
(Or are you really that heartless and feel no remorse for killing someone?)

That video is awesome. :]
However, it's a little crude. xP

All Humans are hypocrites. So this would really end up boiling down to something like: Humans can not judge one another (which they always will) and should completely ignore social standards and social morality (which would destroy a society).
...
Imma sezzz.... Cops speed and pull you over to speed but fundamentally they exist to keep order.

Not all humans are hypocrites. All humans have inconsistency, but there's a difference between being imperfect and having "selective morality," which allows you to justify anything to yourself, even if it grossly contradicts other things you do. Many people who are aware of a hypocrite as such won't take him seriously. Why should they take his morals seriously, when he doesn't take his own morality seriously?

Temptation is over abundant in this world Tongue
No, N O i wouldnt

I wouldnt care who the person is, even if it is a serial killer, let teh law sort that out.

Taking someone out means your taking someone who belongs to a family and a network of friends, think of those people arranging a funeral, sobbing because there loved one died.

What if the person was your best friend, or even you?

Even if it was your worst enemy, they still have a family, a family that will miss them

And wake up call people, 10 Million Dollars isnt even much these days, youd probably blow it all out within 3 years.

I think a year or so is the average time it takes to burn Lottery Winnings.
Ten million would take a month, at most, for the average person. :/

Uh...buy a really nice house. Buy the car I've always wanted. Stick 5 mil into the bank and be set for life.

I'm pretty certain you'd change your stance on this issue if you were really given the chance. But considering this is just an impossible scenario, relax.

I'd still do it though.

Money for murder? - Slashermills2 - 2008-07-27

Yea I could do it for 10 Million Dollars if it was a random person
And I might possibly be up for killing a friend...
Since I myself do NOT trust anyone very much because of "friends" back stabbing me... If it wasn't a friend I knew I could truly trust maybe I would

Money for murder? - ItzTaylor - 2008-07-27

In reality, away from the computer screen... If you think 10 million pieces of paper is worth more then a human life, your screwed in the head.

Money for murder? - Katie - 2008-07-27

I'd kill my ex bf in a heartbeat. That doesn't mean I'm messed up in the head. It means this... I have my reasons for it including things he did to me and my son. It doesn't mean "Im messed up in the head". Just means I have reasons behind it. What if the law doesn't do anything? I don't know if you live in the United States, but you can't count on Law enforcement where I live nor can you in alot of places.

Money for murder? - Heidi - 2008-07-27

*shudders* Ewwwwww no, I could never do that.

It is just beyond sick, and I think that anybody that would do that is proving to themself how messed up in the head they are.

Not to mention the guilt that would follow you for the rest of your life, you wouldn't even be able to enjoy the money anyway

Money for murder? - ElTee - 2008-07-27

God no. For one, I wouldn't like to be killed randomly for someone else to get paid. Not only does this raise feelings of sorrow, it immediately impacts everyone that knew the person. Have you seen the reactions of family's that had a close person get caught in crossfire of a gang fight when they had absolutely nothing to do with anything around them? Its enough to just make you hate people you've never met your entire life. This goes without mentioning the ethics behind this, you got money, but really was it worth it? Something monetary for a part of your soul. If you say you won't change because of someone's death in your eyes, you're dead wrong, or the change has already happened to you because of past events.

Money for murder? - Sora - 2008-07-27

[COLOR="Black"]If I were actually given the opportunity to kill someone for 10 million dollars, I wouldn't be able to do it. I'd be killing someone's best friend, someone's brother, sister, son or daughter, someone who has a family to go home to, someone lover. I wouldn't be able to do it.

If it was the only way to provide for my girlfriend/family, I'd kill myself for 10 million dollars. I'd put their lives ahead of mine any day.

Money for murder? - Slashermills2 - 2008-07-27

Uh....
Yup I am messed up in the head and I know it =P

Money for murder? - Brandini - 2008-07-27

I would kill a random for person for even 5 million.

I would also kill a friend for 25 mil, maybe even certain family members but definetly not my mom, dad, brothers, grandparents, or step-mom.

So that just leaves your cousins and sisters? xP

Soldiers kill others for alot less money, The whole western world indirectly kills people in 3rd world countries. In the context the person who brought up this idea it sounds like it's just a matter of pulling a trigger. Now just add that you won't ever meet close ones of your victem (if they even have those because its a completely random person anyways) and theres no reason to left to not kill someone
