And how am i elitist? I don't even have a mark of beta. I made this after broa came out; i never claimed a beta hat.

That's great. I can't think of anything else to say that wouldn't seem as if my opinion is above others.
But there ARE people who i know who made their first character in big bang and run around high and mighty that they have a mark of beta hat and no one can now differentiate who actually is a beta character and who isn't. I mean the pride and nostalgia are the reason there's a hat for people like this, right?

You have the right to customize the way you like.
Never said you didn't. But how are people supposed to know who really is a beta player now? Word?

And there are plenty of others who usually don't have them on a daily basis. The point is that people now can display a false idea of who they are, and i'm sure there are plenty of liars in the world.

That would definitely make me feel better. That way i can ask them if they have a regular one or not.
Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Saw a Zhelm anvil'd as a Mark in the FM being sold for 1b, and even a Mark of the Beta anvil service advertised. Kind of saddening really given the unique issuing of the equip and the significance that owning one held.
OT, Needed more gold rings so:

Strawberry Earrings -> MP Hound Earrings. Also I haven't shown this much forehead in years, like the haircut though.
Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
What does it matter anymore whether you played beta or not? That's so long ago and people have long since moved on to different characters. I feel like you're getting too emotional over something so insignificant.
Its like me getting angry with someone who has an anvil'd smiling mask when I spent x amount of hours hunting for one. Its pointless and a waste of energy to be upset over it.

Not really. Obviously the importance varies from person to person; for me, there are a lot of memories bound up there. I s'pose it's like any souvenir-type thing IRL -- some people might be very invested in the event it came from, and others not so much. Some might just like the look of it, and others might wish to use it as a token that they can talk to so-and-so about that event. In any case I don't think there's evidence that anyone's flat-out angry over it :P

Mark of Beta.
You use time as an excuse. Anvilling a mark of beta as someone who isn't from beta gives a false understanding of a person and they don't deserve that right.
And that mask analogy is terrible because it signifies nothing about the person.
I also don't understand how you think i'm angry about it. I just think these people don't deserve something they didn't participate for, with the only effort being that you find a person in bera and scania, and they anvil items for you, because it provides false information about what the person has done and their accomplishments. It's like a false timeline.
Edit: What is this post adding?

How are people supposed to know anything without actually being the person they're questioning?
Anybody can say they don't scam; anybody can say they were in beta; anybody can say anything. If it's possible to have a Mark of Beta without ever having been in the beta, then you would never know if anybody truly obtained their item from beta to begin with. Literally every single person who owns one can be questioned unless you know without a doubt that they truly earned this, which you can't know unless you are either them or you knew them when they got it.
It's just an item - it has no value except to the people who value it. It isn't some amazing symbol of epicness unless the individual wants it to be. For all we know Zantgx thought, ''Hey, neat looking hat'' so decided to display it on his character. A newer player probably won't even know that hat was from beta just from seeing it, meaning it would just be any other hat to that person anyway.
No point questioning it. Everybody in this game tells the truth, and everybody lies as well.

It's a lot easier to trust a person in game with a beta hat than a fake one. It was almost unintended that something like this would happen. And i can't understand how proud someone would be to not be from beta and be wearing the same hat that was issued to beta only players, and untradeable specifically so it couldn't be handed out to newcomers. When newcomers wear hats like that it is surely providing a false idea of the person.
No one besides the account holder should be running around with something issued like this. No matter how much people value it, it will always be a hat unique to the person who got it from playing all those years ago. It is a special symbol, not a piece of jewelry.
Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Is sad day that playing Dress-Up is causing drama, in Southperry no less.

Actually it's not a special symbol either. It's a bunch of pixels that you've attached emotions to; it's not easier to trust a person with that hat because they might just use it as a scamming tool for people who believe that a mark of beta entitles the person with more trust. If you really want to get a good idea of the person you would get to know them by talking and not by what hat they are wearing. Stop treating this bundle of red and black pixels like it's a sign from god, because it really isn't and people can do anything they want with it, with or without your consent.
Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Just wondering, let's say i anvil my mask into specs and my nose into a smiley mask. Does it stay like that forever or does it expire sometime?

Can we drop this already?
You just brought back a 2 day old argument.
But to clear something up, i don't think you understood my first sentence. I was referring to the idea of trusting someone to be a beta player with the actual beta hat, than one that is just from an anvil. It's a first impression deal.
Edit: I just realized i can't unpineapple/pomegranate someone. :f7:
Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
Can you use the fusion anvil to replace a top with an overall? Or does that not work since they're not the same item type?

The latter just answered your own question.

Re: The Fusion Anvil thread
That's a bummer. I know you can cover tops with cash shop overalls so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do the same thing with an anvil. Guess I'll just have to wait for a decent permanent overall that's not overpriced.

because you can cover overalls with CS bottoms, which would allow for some pretty messed up things. makes perfect sense you can't.

I've read all your posts and I can understand where you are coming from with this. I also feel a sense of uniqueness being lost as well, but should I?
The fact is, the game is a game, getting worked up over some pixels aint worth it. There are more seriousness going on like "reality" itself. A "game" is meant to be an instrument to help relief "stress" and promote "enjoyment".
If people want to profit by selling the MoB design then they are slowly chipping away a sense of uniqueness to that beta-community. But I have no right to say that person can't do it, catch my drift?
Anyway to satisfy doubters
