Party Buff?
Maybe the damage formula for white knight includes mad?

Another gripe - I just started reworking all of my skill tables again. Then these changes this morning made me have to redo all the work I just did because of the changes. Grah.
Lol I so hope they changed Zerk back to normal :|
Check this out, this was captured not more than 2 minutes ago

Interesting O_o
Its a Mirror image glitch
it appeared when dual bladers were first released
Weird, after the patch, the monsters seem easier to kill.
Is this me or did they just nerf them back to their original states.
Just you getting acclimated. The mobs didn't change at all.
More changes....hopes NLs or Wild hunters get upgraded :D
HOLY F'UCKING plantain S'HIT, BATMAN!
The new Brandish is F'UCKING COOL AS HELL. I didn't manage to get a screen shot of it, but this Hero was using it on KMST. It loos like a soul blade appears over your sword/axe and you attack three times with it.
Seriously? That must have been a cool animation!
Any images/videos of the 2 new DK/DrK moves?
There is one very noticeable change in this patch. Panic definitely causes darkness now - It only took them five years to implement it.
What the... I spent so much time trawling through GoogleTranslate and now they toss everything like a snowglobe? zzz...
Oh well... We'll wait for your next extraction ba. In the meantime I'll just keep translating and analysing... the rest shouldn't be too bad since it's the mage side that's most affected.

Wow...
I wonder how long Fiel will take with the most recent updates? I'm itching to construct a few skill builds...
So like
Holy fook.
I'm not even that upset over the SE/Mastery nerf vs Hurricane buff because for all we know, the new damage formula would make archers extremely OP if they didn't nerf SE/Mastery(/Thorns for DBs). This is a very nice balance. :>
Well... If their change to 1x EXP for the damn Test Server wasn't enough, now I can't even continue the character I'm playing to 2nd job. >_>
My Rant
I wonder, though, how they will go about compensating high levels for not being able to obtain the new skills they added. As far as I can see, they're not giving any kind of SP reset or any extra SP to those who are already a high level. The skills will forever be remained untouched unless you spend real money on SP resets just to be decent and in doing so, you lose out on your main skills. I sure hope they go about this better. >_>
Its tespia, the characters made before that were trained at a high exp rate.
Besides they need people to make new characters to test these changes
Hopefully they would reset SP when it reaches KMS (well they have to, since their removing skills)
BTW, Anyone realise the maxHP now is actually higher?
It's obviously required for testers to actually test low level content. If they had regular tespia exp rates and gave everyone SP resets, there would be too few people trying the new changes out to get good results. You honestly think a 160 character can properly test the effectiveness and balance of 1st~3rd job skills in 1st~3rd job training locations?
Might as well quit my bm :|
I just realized they didn't raise spear crusher dmg ... i thought they raised it to 380% >_>
umm ummm id appreciate a proper translation because everything's in korean.. sucks!
seems like shout is finally useful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pineapple yahhhhhhh! and panic and coma deal greater damage! finally!
my coma does the same dmg as my brandish f7 (actually the coma does a slightly stronger damage... by 1-1.5k)
im glad i maxed shout HAHAHAHAHAHHAA
HAHAHAHAHAH
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
screw you non shout maxers!:f2:
Not like we aren't getting our Skill Points resetted after this. Unless Nexon wants to lose a lot of players instead of getting more.
Wow, I'm actually excited about these. Been hoping for something like this for the past 3 years now... >_>;
Back to school for another year and a half though~
I'm dying to know the latest changes to criticals... I NEED TO KNOW.
So what of higher leveled buccs? Are they doomed to have to restart because of the new critical? :f6: Guess I'll wait and find out what happens there.
If this reaches GMS I think my bucc will die...Lowered Dstrike damage? That sounds more like a burden than a blessing.
NO! Ludi BGMs are good as they are! It's very suitable for Lego-land style! >=[
I'm not entirely sure what part about MapleStory 2 would warrant a soundtrack change, but I do agree with the general opinion that Ludi music should be kept as is. It's quite nice.
I really want to see a video or a screenshot of the new teleport.
so u guys have a weird taste
they should remake the soundtracks into something less childish
because if youd notice all bgms made in the first years of the game are really childish and resemble these things but lately there r good bgms [horntail cave, dragon rider, neo city, ariant is fine, leafre is fine, but man!!! worst bgms ever:
LUDI AND AQUA
You know what the characters in this game look like right?
Ludi will forever be ingrained in all maplers who trudged away at ludi pq. Personally I go back there time to time just to get my nostalgia fix:f3:
and I wanna see the new brandish animation I heard its sick. I'm wondering if panic and coma are so high now would they actually not suck in 4th job?
You do know if they do a skill reset it will be a universal and complete reset affecting every single character in the game when they patch this to KMS regardless of what they had their points in? Everyone will be able to make completely new skill builds.
Aqua is awesome, shut up.
Hmm, did they shorten the length of Invincible? Was Heal's power increased?
If heals damage was increased it would be because it works off the new magic damage rather than it's own weird formula.
I wish I could tell what these things all do.
If they simply decide to give SP resets, what is going to happen to the permanent HP/MP increases given by current skills? If it stays there will clearly be an massive disadvantage to new characters. Maybe they will remove the extra HP/MP? What about those that washed?
Nerfed SE? I sure as hell hope they changed the damage formula...
also
Yea, things are looking very grim for BowMaster (BM) job. So far I think BM is at the most disadvantage job of all.
Unless they change the dmg formula that will include ACC.
Otherwise, BM is just gonna suck really bad. I wonder y can't they do a passive SE dmg calcuation.
E.g Mastery 10 of SE = multiplier 1, Master 20 of SE = multiplier 2, Master 30 of SE = multiplier of 3, just for BM, and not when buffing across party.
Sigh... corsairs is for sure top at DPS now. And since HP isnt a concern anymore, DPS is the only factor remains =X
They HAVE to give everyone a universal reset, otherwise it'll be the BIGGEST "F You" to all the players ever.
And Wild Hunters basically obsolete Bowmasters since they now have 45% Critical while on their Jaguar.
Any videos of Bishops/Arch Mages in action yet? Their training style drastically changed so I'm curious to see how they train now.
Also, Priests have 40% critical vs Evan's 15% loolol.
Let's take a moment to breathe and calm down.
We still don't know how critical works, we still don't know the new damage formulas, we still don't know a lot of things. We still aren't sure what's up with the new accuracy, evasion, physical defense, magical defense, etc. Well, at least I don't know.

Brave* Slash, incase no one noticed cause you can't read korean, Brandish is attained in 3rd job and then Blade Slash comes in in 4th job.
The animation of Brandish looks the same as before, so I'm getting blade slash is passive and adds to brandish? I don't really know.
*Edited cause there is some ambiguity, sounds more like Brave than Blade cause saying the korean makes it sound like blaybuh.
Spent the entire day translating and doing up the skill changes. I've left out pirates because I don't have time to do them... and I also see that there are a number of pirate translations out already. So... here you go. My attempt at translating.

Greed: +10% Mesos Guard Ratio (according to Pride)
I know Hadriel attempted to translate it differently but I was wondering if someone could test this.
What does that particular effect of Greed actually do? Does it...
1. Increase Mesos Guard's damage reduction by 10%? i.e. -50% damage taken to -60% damage taken.
OR (according to what I understand from Hadriel's post)
2. Reduce the amount that the meso consumption multiplier is applied to without having the character take more damage? i.e. character still takes 50% of the damage, but the other 50% is converted to 40% by subtracting 10% and the 61% (at maximum Mesos Guard) is applied to this 40%.
p.s. Is it Brave Slash or Blade Slash now? Nevertheless, it looks totally awesome. Was expecting Dissidia Cloud's Cross Slash, but...this is good too. :p
Oi, I guess it is Brave Slash.
Read the korean wrong.
this is just too much. how do you come in years after the point and change a game so dramatically. i've never seen anything like this done before to such a degree.
they might as well just make a friggin new game, seriously... yeah % attribute items are strong, so i understand some of the nerfing... but you also have to use NX to get the pineappleing scrolls. no one is going to spend time fighting over the scrolls from boss drops. everyone is going to have to save up for nx to get good "new" items. plus, theres so many dimensions to an item that its ridiculous with the new system. grading jewels, makering, regular scrolls, potential scrolling, strengthening scrolling... its pineappleing ri-dic-u-lous.
what we dont know and if this all plays out for good or bad aside; i REALLY dont know how you change a game this much and somehow keep older players from not bailing (im already imaging NX resets for older chars. well maybe not, but you have to wonder lol). i guess though, that dosent matter. reinvent the game, pick up traffic for new players. old players maybe don't spend as much nx, and hell... the ones who stick around for this and will just spend more time (money) on the game.
when i read that interview about maplestory 2 showing up next year, i was thinking a new pineappleing game... not just a complete amnesia of what the current game was once upon a time. seriously...
.... it does seem kinda like a nexon idea though. why spend the time, imagination (lol) or money making a whole new game when you can just take the original that you've milked to death and reimagine it so you can re: milk it alllll over again. its even less riskier since, now you can potentially hold onto your older players and make them spend even more money normalizing to a new game which sits in a familiar, at least visually, setting. between this and item whoring (cash shops), what great ideas and concepts nexon has brought the gaming industry to use for their own money making possibilities.
i've never really thought of having my mmo's play experience be like a board game you could just flip over, dump all pieces out so they now mean nothing... and start over. usually consistency and value of what you spend your time building in a mmorpg, matter...
between this and seeing how completely whacked out most of nexons employees really are at e3... im just... :poast:
I'm actually quite satisfied with these changes. I mean before, a loooooooong time ago, training and leveling was boring. Very boring. It felt like a chore. Now, it'll be completely different.
I won't have an opinion until the changes are officially released because I know there's going to be lots of changes still as they keep testing it. But I am soooooooooooooooooo happy about Shadow Resistance skill increasing our base HP by 10%. I hope that skill doesn't get nerfed, I wouldn't mind if they improve it more though. :P
I'm a but curious if they will take all the HP we got from the old HP Increase away, or if we will just get to keep it in addition to the new 20%.
Well lets just say that HP is much higher in general. Almost at 4k HP at level 4x on a fighter.
They probably won't. We don't know what the 20% refers to either.
My optimistic view:
They will let us keep our current HP, bake the HP ability into our HP gain per level (warriors gain 65 HP and Brawlers gain 55 HP per level from the get go), and simply give us the +20% HP ability, in essence making warriors and brawlers true meatshields of the game. Undoing the HP gains of each character is probably going to be too messy. Here's the problem:
Warriors: ~25 HP per level without the HP ability, which brings it up to ~65
Brawlers: ~25 HP per level without the HP ability, which brings it up to ~55
65/25 = 260%
55/25 = 220%
If they were to take away all the bonus HP we got from our levels they'd have to make the new HP ability give more than 200% bonus HP to make up for it. +20% of our current HP without the HP boost ability won't even give us that much more HP than a ranged DPS. Take them Thieves:
~3.2k HP at 120
120% of 3.2k = 3840
Now imagine a 120 warrior with 3.8k HP.
Hahahaha, no. We'd be destroyed and be the most fragile melee ever.
What does KOR mean? O-o
any idea when we will get the new extraction data and stuff from the recent patch?
Holy god, Paladins literally became invincible, or so it seems. Defensive Warrior class has now come true.
Interesting...

From the looks of this picture, the new damage cap is 999K. Hello, 1m damage for snipe?
Also, is Brave slash any slower than Brandish was?
If base HP has increased in general, I wonder what that means for preexisting characters. Are our mains screwed? Will they get the HP increase they should have got with the new system? Or does this new base increase work differently (coming from a level up hp increase like warriors have it as a swordsman)?
One thing I don't want is for Nexon to just set all of our HP's to what they think it should be at our level, especially for those who spent tons of NX on AP Resets to wash. If they're going to give us all an increase in HP, they need to do it right and just raise all preexisting characters by percentage, not just set it to what they think a level 190 character should be. "Oh all level 190 Archers are suppose to have 7k HP" That would be pineappleing stupid.
