You don't get an exp or drop penalty from mobs that are level 150 or higher.

Actually they removed that at the same time as the patch that added the penalty for fighting monster 20 levels above you (I seriously don't understand why). Tongue

(drop penalty still doesn't apply to 150+ though).

Oh, so my point was relevant (yay!)
In this case, this pushes back the expected date of a level 250 by.... a lot.

Wait, removed what? The exp penalty for mobs too low, or the no-penalty over 150?

penalty of mobs of 150+ anf also added one that if you fight mobs 20 levels above you, the drop penalty it's the same.

Monsters above level 150 are now subject to the exp penalty.

It's been a while and correct me if I wrong, but the EXP penalty doesn't apply to boss or party flagged mobs does it?
I still recall getting full exp killing crockies as well as stuff in Monster Park with a Lv200 character before.

I know of that; Currently in GMS, the exp penalty doesn't apply to boss, party flagged, Masteria/NLC, world tour mobs, or stuff above lv150. Besides the level of the mobs, did they remove those exceptions (especially the boss and party flagged mobs) in KMS, unless they never had them to begin with?

The reason the Masteria and World-Tour mobs are exceptions are that these mobs never existed in KMS.

With the exp penalty taken into account, I'd imagine it'll be closer to 2014 before anyone in GMS hits 250.

Xenon - level 211 (24,983,319,519 exp)
Xenon - level 210 (7,927,337,237 exp)
Phantom - level 209 (6,996,164,666 exp)
Hero - level 208 (5,976,079,393 exp) << first level 200 in kMS
(doesn't say job) - level 208 (332,064,362 exp)

It's awesome to see the first level 200 in KMS going for it too, I doubt that will happen in MSEA.
