Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Dusk - 2009-01-15 Am I the only one who doesn't like World Tour? They all seem like a waste of space except Taipei. Singapore has good mobs, but other than a handful of maps to train on there's absolutely nothing interesting to do. The whole Singapore theme of making every monster a black blob is pretty lame, too. World Tours should be kept in their originating version. Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - silverquiver - 2009-01-15 CrazyNomad Wrote:me want that D: I just came.... Is that the new mount or is the turtle a mount? Or what? Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Erich - 2009-01-15 Dusk Wrote:Am I the only one who doesn't like World Tour? Is how that should have ended. Dusk Wrote:Am I the only one who doesn't like World Tour? They all seem like a waste of space except Taipei. The only really bad World Tour area to me is Shanghai the rest are as worthwhile as any other area of the game such as KFT/Omega etc.. Unless you want all those sort of maps to be removed too? Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Dragon - 2009-01-15 [Mixed, Negative Emotions] N-n-no World tour!? PLEASE come back! Getting rid of an area will ruin the fun of exploring! Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Mashi - 2009-01-15 Lols. Wired Patch. I bet there's more to it.
A Gingerbread Man and Cat Witch?
Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Dusk - 2009-01-15 Kirov Wrote:...On monsters that aren't appropriate for their level range. Is how that should have ended. KFT has some nice quests. Omega Sector could be fixed. The problem with World Tour is that it's put together by some local version of MS, and from what I've seen I actually appreciate what Nexon did with CWK. None if it feels like it belongs in the game, and it's often shoddily crafted together. Singapore has a crapload of potions that are worse than regular potions. Showa has the most random items in the stores I've ever seen. Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Roads - 2009-01-15 Mashi Wrote:Lols. Wired Patch. Yes... that's PINNOCHIO. :p Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Erich - 2009-01-15 the KMST screen I belive is what it looks like is something world wide folk tales (gingerbread man, beanstalk, on and on, it might also explain how World Tour is removed) Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - IsaacGS - 2009-01-15 Dusk Wrote:Am I the only one who doesn't like World Tour? World Tours should be kept in their originating version.I've actively campaigned against world tour many times (Stupid items, bad training spots, dumb quests, irrelevant to the rest of the game, etc.) but seriously... it's been there for 2 full years now. It's there. It's embedded into the game. You can't go and remove 6 towns and expect everyone to be ok with it. This is a horrible idea. Also, about dojo... god damn, man, dojo is fucking hard even with the rage meter. If it only charges when you get hit, the bosses had better be summoning every 20 seconds because as it stands now you can't get potions very easily. you'd die a dozen times before the bar got charged even once. If you look at all the newest places added, they all make the original maps look really bad but I don't want them removed either. The pots issue is a bit of the moot point since NLC makes all pots everywhere bad, not exclusive to just world tour. I do agree that a lot of the world tours seem out of place (The ones based on real Locations). But since they are kept separate from the game through spinel I dont really mind that. To me adding new content but removing other content is like taking one step forward and two steps back. I hope it just means that they are finding a new system rather than using Spinel or its just a temporary Tespia thing. Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Deviant - 2009-01-15 Even if they dont seem like they belong in the game, I dont like more of the game being cut out at all, I know many MMO players like the exploration of games, and Maple feels small as is, cutting out areas that had a lot of time put into them on the designer's side just doesnt make sense. I think its just for Tespia, but thats just me. Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Cyanne - 2009-01-15 The poison mist thing isn't really all that bad because mist has a chance to poison every second that the monster's in the mist, so it's still a very high chance assuming the monsters aren't too speedy or the mists aren't too spread out. Honestly though, are F/Ps amazingly popular in kMS or something? I'm wondering why F/Ps' poison mist got nerfed while I/Ls' chain lightning got stronger. I would've thought that flame wizards would've been enough to make the class die out. Removing a lot of towns all at once is nonsense, but a lot of those towns are hindered already since they rely on a single npc to take you to the towns, where as singapore, NLC, and even the new JMS Neo Tokyo all have a rooted access to the area that is not just an npc (train, plane, etc.). So i think they are just removin world tour for the time being and are going to rework how the areas are accessed. I mean come on, you think they could get rid of their number 1 gacha? They be up pineapples creek without a paddle.
Patch:Tespia 1.2.191 - Smooth Criminal - 2009-01-15 Serendipity Wrote:2. 세계여행 상품이 종료되었습니다. Hopefully, they're suggesting that it's either for revamping similar to SniperJohnE's suggestion or just for people in the Tespia server ![]() To be quite honest- YES, World Tour does ugly up the Maple World, some World Tour maps don't interact at all with MapleStory stylistically; for example, maps like Thailand, Malaysia, or Shanghai aren't really in quite the same fantasy spirit and feel like they're just there to be used as a game tool without style seeing as these more "realistic" representations who deter away from the whole concept of fantasy adventure. But on the contrary, I believe that there are World Tours in spirit of MapleStory; for example, Masteria, Ulu City, and Zipangu- they play around with cultural elements and weave in their own sense of fantasy adventure inside. If they were to remove all World Tour except each version's own, at least they should compensate by keeping the items =/ |
