Quantact Wrote:In D2 you can buy unidentified items such as Windforce. To the best of my knowledge an unid item cannot be a dupe.

However, Maple is a lot more money-oriented, so the hackers can sell their 50 int saunas for $$$. I know a guy who seriously considered spending 7,000 dollars to buy all-perfect gear for his character. Two guesses where those perfect items would come from.

UnID'ed items can be duped. The only difference between UnID'ed and ID'ed items is whether the ID'ed tag is a 0 or a 1. Otherwise, the item will have the exact same stats. If you were to dupe an UnID'ed item, and then ID both of them, they would be exactly the same. Stats aren't rolled upon IDing but at the exact moment the item is created at drop. Windforces suck, by the way.

There is barely any dupe items that survived the attack of nexon, and besides that the white scrolls are all used up other then a few mules I know off waiting for certain things.. why make something so insignificant so huge, mind your own game, avoid the people playing it wrong... PROFIT?!?!

He's basically saying that this "issue" is being blown out of proportion and that all of the white scrolls that had been duped are basically either gone or in storage. Plus nexon had like an all out attack on the players who duped and bought duped items so many of the illegit items are gone.

Anyway, items looted by a hacker are not illegit, the person who obtained them are the illegit ones. Once the item is sold, its just an item. But if the item was created with duped scrolls or it itself is duped, apparently there's something about it that's detectable by nexon.

[COLOR="Red"]Unless I am mistaken to the point of so complete idiocy, George Bush would be able to communicate with me efficiently, Illbi Throwing Stars can't be scrolled, therefore have nothing to do with this. People who sell leech and are too lazy to make good mule igns might be selling them.

It doesn't make any sense to delete them, if they've been sold either. My old (now retired) friend had a 90 att claw made with white scrolls, but he didn't know the whites were duped. So is taking his claw for something he was unaware of fair?

If I see an item that I like, and I'm willing to buy it for the amount of mesos that is listed, then I will do so. How do you know what is or isn't hacked to begin with? There are probably legit 21 attack BWGs. Rare and almost impossible, but they do exist (I've seen a legit 18 att BWG before in a screenie).

Unless you see a shop with 5 copies of a rare item and they are scrolled to the exact same stats....yea. :/

What's a Hacked Item?

One scrolled with a Scroll Hack?
One obtained by hacking monsters?
One Item Tagged with a Hacker's Name?
One bought with money from a hacker?

I believe there has been many hacked items, and money going around in the server already. It's even possible people have it and may not know it.

I guess it would be a opinion in this case. If you believe that they are illegit in your eyes, they are illegit, if other people think they are legit, they are legit to those people.

It's not like you can really say, that person is illegit for sure, cause I know many people have different opinions on this stuff, just like Leeching, and Meso Buying, and NX selling.

On the other had, Hacking is a definite wrong, and everyone counts that as illegit.

Here's a list of what is legit and illegit to me:

Legit:
Leeching-You are leeching off another person even when you party and fight with them/ go afk in the middle of training with another person. People don't like it, but yes, it is legit.
NX Selling- Nexon themselves sells mesos for NX. No difference. And many places in this world don't have a chance to buy Nexon cards themselves.

Illegit:
Items Scrolled by Duped Scrolls- Self Explanatory.
Meso Buying- No doubt the mesos from meso selling websites come from hackers.
Abusing Glitches- It's in the Terms of Service you agree to. Nexon themselves have said it multiple times themselves.
Hacking- Duh.

I only listed some of the major ones that are commonly debated about.

People buy leech at Wolf Spiders before they buy leech at Harps.

lol out of proportion?
People could have answered yes or no.
What's wrong with a little discussion?

Quote:Typically if there is high volume influx or a particular item, driving prices down. Big example are stars like Illibis because of hackers at wolf spiders.

So would that make me, who bought ilbis at FM entrance for a bit lower than market price, illegit? -__-

Hacked Items - godofturtles - 2009-01-08

Nothing is wrong with discussion, he just feels like this in some ways was a bigger issue back when white scrolls existed, and that now the real problems have passed.

I brought it up because of items floating around in the FM lately.

and I see that most people even with the knowledge of a weapon not being legit or items or whatever would still get those items if they could afford them.

Hacked Items - haha01haha01 - 2009-01-08

saying that some1 who buy a hacked weapon is a hacker is like saying that some1 with 2 accounts, one legit and the other one hacking is a hacker. he is not a hacker, but nexon will ban him anyway because there IS a chance that the hacker just transferred the hacked item to another account.

I have, stupid people will pay good money for it. 13mil per hour is better than harps, for the one giving leech.

TheTyphoon Wrote:so are you saying that some person with 10 ilbis in their shop with random letters/numbers as their ign could have just got lucky at wolf spiders too? Hurt

The number of 45-50 luk/int saunas, etc. is definitely suspicious; I personally know of one perfect duped item still in circulation, which basically everyone agrees is duped. There is no denying that perfect items started appearing frequently when the white scroll dupers came around. Before that point I had only heard of a perfect Claymore on another version of Maple Story, I had never seen one. After that, you might come across a perfect or nearly perfect item every few weeks or so.

As far as legit perfect items, at least with the 1h swords it's possible at this point. GM scrolls are out, if you merchant and have the right contacts it IS possible to spend several billion to collect 7 GM scrolls and scroll your Lunchbox. If you're scrolling a Caravella, logically you'll need less than 7 GM scrolls because it's possible to land a couple 30s on the Caravella before GMing it. I know one person with a legit perfect 1h sword. As far as other items go, landing 7 30s or getting enough legit White Scrolls to scroll a perfect item... it's possible, but then, so is winning the lottery.

However, as far as 10 ilbis in a random shop... give me a break. People grind for like 12 hours a day on Maple sometimes. So someone goes to WS and farms there for a long time and finds 10 ilbies. On 2x drop it's not that hard. That's not like getting a perfect Dragon Claymore. As far as the character name being unremarkable, one of the high lvl people in my alliance is aznclaricc18 or something like that. It's a name you'd think belonged to a lvl 20 niblet, but she's really up there. Not every high lvl legit has an epic name.

Hacked Items - Peach - 2009-01-08

If YOU have a problem with buying items you believe are hacked then YOU personally should not buy it, but if you expect the entire legit maple community to follow your "call to arms" you're fooling yourself at best. There is no way to 100% determine if the items in a shop are hacked or not, by calling all godly items hacked is spitting in the face of so many legit players who have spent billions to make perfect gear and now get called a hacker or illegit for owning these items. Go ahead and boycott any godly items, go on a hunger strike if you think it will help. It all comes down to nexon, they do not treat their players with respect, lack of GM presence, doing nothing about hackers etc... they're creating a community full of hacked maps, meso sellers and making the game more difficult/less enjoyable for people who just wanna play the damn game.

I find this all very ironic coming from you xiyuuna, you are/were married to a hacker. dont' tell me you haven't gained anything from him, he gives you 10 mesos and you take it... does that make you illegit in your own eyes? maybe try living your ideology instead of trying to shove it down everyones throats.

I know this is off-topic, but you have chosen a VERY unfortunate username as pertains to SouthPerry. Glitter

Hacked Items - Hazzy - 2009-01-08

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're not legit, but yea, someone should smack them.
Kind of depends on how they were hacked. White Scroll-hacked, or just a Zakum-Only Drop a week into a server? :/
