I was able to play, but the windowed mode is screwed up. all IM notifications dont show anything but the top line. Also, Kaspersky keeps saying that its a keylogger every 5 minutes or so Tongue

My lag, even though it wasn't much when I enter Zakum alter, is alot less.

I have no problems with the program, Ventrilo runs fine along with the rest of my guild members of it, apparently. 20+ guild members on at the moment, Vent and MS.

The only problem is, when entering Window mode, Windows that are not the active window sometimes appear as black boxes, like some are experiencing.

Flawless. Im happy with the results, everything seems to run alot smoother

Just did a Zak run. No different than usual. Seemed a bit smoother, if anything. However, two people disconnected on 3rd body (one near start of it, one near end) for no apparent reason. I know at least one of them NEVER disconnects. I hope HackShield isn't screwing something up for them.

I have problems when I switch to windowmode... it makes some pixels that make up my mini tolls inthe same colour as my wallpaper... and I can't watch a video when I play anymore... coz I'll hear the sound... but the video gets stuck on first frame.

On top of that... I lag terribly, it was worse than when I played dial up...

I like everything about it apart from that fact... that it disconnects me at Horntail... Which is probably due to "yay" Vista.

Tymen.

Have this. Run Windows XP, unlike most of the people here. Some of it isn't fixed by minimizing/restoring the window, either.

I alt-tab frequently. It's super annoying.

Also, download speed when alt-tabbed is significantly reduced. (Like, 4 minutes for an MP3 that usually takes 10 seconds.)

Am not pleased. Tongue

It's been fine for me. In fact, if anythinhg before I'd lag when I tried to pick up drops/CC and now it's immediate like before.

Also, looks like Nexon did get pro. Good for them.

Whenever I try to run MapleStory.exe, HackShield Pro randomly decided to think that I'm running in Windows XP compatibility mode. This is a new MapleStory.exe, it's NOT going to have all that compatibility crap.

I can get through about half the time without incident. Lulz xD

Well, MS runs on my laptop.. but desktop still fails. So at least I can play >_>

I get the same issue as some other people where I can't play for more than a few hours. I had just updated the game and installed HackShield. I logged in as normal. No lag reduction or anything, so I was thinking it would be just like GameGuard for me. But no! I though, well haaaaaaay! I has some moneys! Why not blow it on a store for MapleStory? Apparently I had forgotten that some people were getting a fun lolithinkillgiveuaBSODafteracouplehours thing. I got it too. Waste of good money. I can have my store up for about two and a half hours before my computer crashes. omgfail.

How has your Hackshield experience been? - Fiel - 2009-05-01

No issues here. I'm running fine and dandy.

Me 2. Biggrin

I had one problem the night after the patch. Except I think it was my crappy internet.

It like hackshield better actually. Much, much less lag after closing the game.

How has your Hackshield experience been? - ItzTaylor - 2009-05-01

And it seems to load faster then game guard. Poast

How has your Hackshield experience been? - Lathan - 2009-05-01

After ht, and during it people d/c with a hackshield intiliazing(sp?) error. I have never d/c'd when ht'd died during the 12035239402394 runs that I did with gameguard, but the 3 runs after it I d/c about 5 seconds after it dies, so now I have to click to go into the cave as soon as it dies.

The only problems I've had with hackshield is that XFire no longer detects it right away, so you have to open XFire AFTER you've opened Maple to get in-game chat. Also, the new security system caused a memory leak for Maple, so that screwed up my laptop for a day. ;X Now, I get these random lag periods after running maple for more than 12 hours (going AFK, of course).

How has your Hackshield experience been? - Burnup - 2009-05-01

I love it. Now I can play FPS games that use gameguard AND play MS (Open shop)

How has your Hackshield experience been? - Firehuntah - 2009-05-01

Can run multiple Maplestory.exe as well now, couldn't do that with GameGuard as far as I know. 1 on each User account in Windows though, so it's annoying if you want to move with both characters.. Tongue

Also noticed something when closing Maple and shutting down my computer. With Gameguard it took around 20-30 seconds for my computer to shut down. Now with Hackshield it takes 5-10 seconds. Pretty big difference if you ask me. Tongue This is in Vista btw, but probably the same on XP.
