wow, the warrior classes are truly savage now. someone asked if people should re-arrange their builds accordin to the paladin's +2 skill, and i say no to that. if anything, i've learned that if any of your plans are contingent on another person in maplestory, those plans will fail. you simply cannot count on another person being there for you, so, to leave all your skills at 8/18/28, is really shortsighted in my opinion.
MM own, but that's kinda lame BM's get the 'no monster w.def' attack also.
shads, i'm pretty upset SS gets nerfed just because NL's have too much avoid. fuggin NL's, take their SS back down to 30% and stop screwing up the positive aspects shads actually have. we are melee fighters, not ranged, we should not have the same shifter avoid.
i know nexon is racking their brain and simply don't know what to do with us, but the simple fix is to just make our attacks slightly faster with a small % increase in damage. all this back and forth stuff is annoying. greed should really increase drops 20% in my opinion, unless monster's meso drops are going to be much higher as well. at any rate, we are the bandits of the game, we should have a +% item droprate since NL's also have taunt. we are treasure hunters!
and i really encourage everyone that is playing in tespia and can leave direct feedback about it to nexon korea, insist that they release the reverse shields. it drives me crazy they include timeless shields, but not reverse.

as a lvl 200 buc/viper, I think csb is next to completely useless.
the only skills of regular usage at lvl 200 are sxform, barrage, ds, demo.
snatch is next to useless currently since regardless of using snatch + ds or ds+ds, practically every mob (except neo tokyo mobs) dies. only used to move bosses around to kill other players.
so infighting mastery = meh.
as for energy charge, just get rid of it and give us active stance skill 90%.
energy orb = next to useless, the speed as it is currently is weak and due to the mastery currently (like 50%) I barely ever touch my max dmg of 9x k with it. maybe if they changed its speed to make it spammable(since ds is more spammable)
, + increase its range to be able to all body parts of HT at the same time like an AOE /all hands of zak , otherwise, no one will use it instead of dragonstrike.
personally though, make it a summons. like beholder (passive buffs), OR like mage summons/captain summons.

paladin +2 skill is useful for giving any party in HT without mw30 a mw22 (since nearly every one has it by now)

also would like to point out that any reasoning that implies (suffering in earlier job stages) = justification for over powerness and its converse (easy early job stages ) = justification for a sucky 4th job dps is totally wrong.
you need to consider that quite a lot of people hit lvl 200 really fast. (eg; maplesea 17 days for first lvl 200 evan.) and there were so many lvl 120 knights of cygnus after just 1 day. considering that you can PQ all the way past lvl 120 now, i think its fair to say that PQ is the great leveler for exp gains, it forms the bare minimum exp anyone should be gaining/hr (with exception of permanent islanders)
to put in persective, you barely spend anytime in 1st to 3rd job and eternity in 4th job. so why should your "speed' in your 1st to 3rd job punish/reward you in 4th job.
everyone should have a part to play in bossing in 4th job and be NEEDED.
for mages, they really ought to give them a party skill if they aren't being boosted to match heros/nl/etc after the rebalance.
personally i would prefer (antidispel shell/anti magic shell. something to cancel out everything else that holyshield doesn't like such as stun, zombiefy, confusion,pot lock and dispel)

and they ought to make bishops holy archmages , change the skill set and retain hs with changes and be done with it.
a) skill to convert mob to holy weak, bosses to neutral
b) AR becomes a mobbing skill or AOE skill, somewhere around 20% less than para/cl
c) holy symbol will be a partyskill only, if you have no party members that are gaining exp as well,then holysymbol will grant no exp bonus

glad the ultimates now have DoT to compensate for the cooldowns now as well. every 30 seconds a new mob will suffer a very short life span. i am a bit concerned for my F/P counterparts now though; but on the other hand, doesn't Para's ability to hit more targets make it more capable at maintaining DPS on bosses that spam mob spawns to protect itself?
And Hunter's Defense cutting passive, seeing as how they hit generally lower numbers than crossbow: you guys sure that defense cut isn't more godly than it seems for them?

Now CL is both stronger and faster than paralyze on single targets. They even get innate critical on it.
Well, i'll wait for someone to show how DoT works. If it's based on your range or the damage you've dealt and works on bosses it's cool.
Just don't let it be like Fire Demon right now, in that it only works 1 second after the monster has been hit but that resets everytime the monster is hit with FD (meaning the monster never takes the burn damage if you spam).
I read up to this part and flipped out at the once again used argument of why are there more bowmasters than marksmen. As for the excuse, i was not talking just about you, but about many marksmen that have kept using that argument ever since the first round of skill changes. Throwing my 2 cents out there regarding the MM changes.
I agree that combined snipe and ultimate strafe are a bit much on the 1 v 1 dmg for us given that we have pierce. Though, my take on it is a little different. I want to keep snipe as it is; it's a unique skill in the game that there are no others to compare it to (yeah there are others, but they don't kill). I don't want it to become just like any other skill and fall into the dps, dot, and mob categories. If what I've understood from what's been said is true, ultimate strafe is not only stronger, but faster. First off, I'd like to know if it is fast enough for consistent knockback. If so, I'd take it back down to 4 arrows, but keep the improved speed and perhaps adjust the dmg accordingly.
Earnestly, I'd like to see a fair dmg output between the bowman classes without taking away the unique traits. But the one thing I've looked for as far as an improvement in strafe is not the power, but the ability to KB monsters safely as other classes have been able to do (note: solo and not with SI). Truth be told, I haven't bothered much with bossing up to this point, so I'll admit I have yet to see this problem critically myself, but I'm made aware of it regularly by some of the higher leveled community.
One more thing, while I agree that 3rd job xbows beat bows due to freezing, I don't understand this assumption of 2nd job doing the same.

...what? That's a ridiculous comment in bold, because the main boss is comprised of ONE target that's only getting hit by Paralyze ONCE. In other words, if we're attacking the boss alone or the boss and 5 summoned mobs, we're still doing the SAME DPS to the boss mob the entire time. Yes, Paralyze will help with mobbing at bosses, but it's typically a luxury that most runners give up in place of better DPS classes when they can.Quote:

Let me spell this out for people: for DoT to be effective support damage, it would have to be doing in the ~50k/second ballpark.

I never understood the argument as that BMs deserved it because MMs were always underpowered. I just thought it meant that before, back a few years ago, Snipers were stronger than Rangers, but there were a lot more Rangers than Snipers, showing that some people pick classes for looks over power. I mean, isn't that why there were more bowmasters than marksmen? (I suppose that there was a bit of a BM bandwagon a while back, so that contributed more)Quote:

efreet and elquines were switched correct? it may not stay that way, but these guys should get a big damage/dps/speed buff if they are staying that way, or have an individual burn DoT effect that stacks with your other burn DoT effects
poison mist could get some sort of mastery in 4th job, a 1-10 sp skill, that greatly increases the duration it hangs in the map, to save a lot of time and recasting, and increase in poison damage
efreet could have an individual burn effect called inferno or lava or something, which looks a little different (maybe like how his body looks), that is basically the same thing as burn, but just another effect to increase DoT by stacking. maybe it also lowers m.def?

It's hard to tell if I like the updates overall, or hate them. I mean advanced charged blows mob count is reduced which is always a bad thing, nerfed damage, and was given a delay?(not that it matters TOO much I suppose since I think you'll eventually be rushing after every initial hit with it).
I guess these updates are acceptable, I also came when I saw that blizzard does DOT.
