Anyone planning on playing cataclysm when it comes out?
Also, does anyone know how to get a starcraft 2 beta key? When I log into battle.net, I have a SC2 link at the top that lets me download something and I'm not sure if that means I'm a lucky person who gets to play SC2? Haven't clicked on it yet.

I don't know if you have seen/care for my opinion on it, but I wrote a 'lil review of it here. In spite of my hating the game still has a pretty decent following, so it might be worth your time to get some more opinions.
Just don't get the collectors edition. That's a fine waste of $10.

Just download the PS1 rom. It's a ridiculously cliche game (it wasn't when it came out, though) but it's a fun little experience. Many laughs to be had.

Tales of Vesperia for the PS3 should be arriving from Japan in a day or two. Can't wait!
I played through... I want to say about half of it with a friend on the 360 before he took it back when he went to the Marines. Hopefully he'll come back and we'll be able to finish it in english before I get to that point in my PS3 file, because I'm sure I'll have no idea what's going on if I do it in japanese first.

Uh, at those levels, it'd be incredibly hard. You don't need to use any summonings against her, really. Just have one spellcaster constantly spamming Nurse, the 2nd spellcaster either use spells that ups Reid and Farah, or just spam elemental spells at Shizel.
When I fought her, I normally played as Reid, but my party was:
-Max
-Meredy
-Farah
Sorry, no Keele. :x
Having Max spam Elemental Master isn't a bad idea either. But since you said you didn't do side-quests.. er... ><;
Also, do you have Sekundes? Because you stated you didn't have Shadow, Maxwell, or the Destiny-summon. Sekundes is the Time Craymel.

I beat the game already haha. I'm just giving myself a challenge. I just need to figure a way to get through the fear flare phase. If you're in the corner with her spamming that spell, you're pretty much dead. ~1 second casting time from Shizel + casting while she's down. Ridiculous.
Distortion is a bad spell so I wouldn't count on Sekundes. The casting time is far too long and at mid hp, no chance. I probably need to find another mystic symbol. The people that beat her on hardcore are crazy.
And why aren't there any of the extra scenes on youtube? >[ My friend messed up my old file and I couldn't see the spa scene.

I've beaten her on Hardcore two years ago.. I didn't think she was THAT hard, to be honest. Then again, I've played ToE like 30+ times, I swear.. >_>; Have you fought Nereid Regulus? UGH! -shudders- x.x
The Spa scene was also one of the best scenes in ToE, hahaha! Distortion is pretty crappy on her, and I don't think she even gets stunned by it, but I forgot. It's been a while. I just remember having Max spamming Elemental Master, and one of the spellcasters to spam Nurse + Resurrection. If I had Farah in the team, I'd have her constantly attacking Shizel as well as using her as a support (Life). Fun stuff. I had more fun playing as Farah with my replays though, haha. Her skills combos so well. :)
I think having Black Onyx + Mystic Symbol works really well on Reid. That's what I did back then. :/

I just picked up Red Dead Redemption and Alan Wake at midnight. I played RDR online for like 4 hours before basically passing out then I picked up Single player today and just got done with another 4 hour session. I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with the level of detail and work done on this game. The same thing can be said about Alan Wake. I've only played maybe 2 hours of that, but the time I spent with it was fabulous. People may think you've played a game like this before, but the level of immersion it puts you in the story, and the highly creepy environment makes this game a total buy. I didn't play it today because I wanted to play it at night, but I also have some TV shows I want to catch up on, so, juggle, juggle, juggle all the pomegranate to do. x_x

Beat Machinarium, Osmos (if you can call it beating), And Yet it Moves, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 (currently 92 stars) for the first time.
Opinion of SMG2 so far
I can't help but say I'm a little disappointed. I mean, I should have expected it, being a "2" rather than a new title and just by the fact that it was using the same system. But I feel as though I should have paid $30 for this expansion pack rather than $50 for a full game.
The story seems just thrown together to accommodate gameplay and doesn't really make too much sense. The very same "once every 100 years" event happens as the last one, so it brings a lot of questions, though I suppose they could be answered just by the fact that the "universe was reborn" in the last one; although not really. I found the characters, including the bosses, to be lacking on most fronts as well.
As far as gameplay, it more or less is a complete rehash with a few new mechanics used sparingly. I personally ran into a number of depth perception issues in most levels that used clouds which costs me a life here and there. I have yet to see or use any of those easy mode options, so I can't really remark on those. The Bowser boss battles were a particular let down to me... can't say I know why, but they just were.
The world map is a throw-back to SM3, and I personally would have preferred a larger explorable base of operations, but that is part of my RPG tastes. The levels don't have near as many stars in them each as the prior game, so they were able to make many more levels to accommodate the (assumed) 120 stars. This is a positive for the most part, but it makes each level feel horribly linear in comparison to the prior titles. Additionally, they brought back the most frustrating levels from the prior game for the special zone. However, as a flip-side to that comment, I did enjoy the Throw-back galaxy.
Overall it was still a pretty good game, but by no means did it live up to the hype that was given to it by it's predecessor. It didn't have the sparkle that made Galaxy what it was.
Was going to work on Suikoden 2 prior to these, but I got distracted when I heard something about a timed quest chain in the game, and knowing how much I like to explore that detered me until I bothered looking it up to find that nothing significant would be lost, so I'll be jumping into that now. Maybe after that I could shake off my disappointment and wrap up a normal finish on Valkyrie Profile.

Well Minerva is pretty easy if you have a +999% HP materia and Costly Punch you know. What aggravates me is that missions don't carry over to New Game+, so, even if I beat the game twice before, now I'm doing the 100% from scratch in the first playthrough, which finds me at level 50 with more than 130 missions to do yet.
Sigh square

Trying to wrap up Shining Force; about half way through Suikoden II; and just got and started Mile Edgeworth (whatever subtitle), Spirit Tracks, and Atelier Annie. Working here and there on SMG2 so as to not get that blah feeling I had when I ran through all of Luigi's stars in one spurt right after the finishing the first game.
Updated SMG2 Opinion
Well, I take back that linearity remark I had before after seeing the green stars. Other than that though, I still think it is more or less SMG1.5 or something.
@Atelier Annie: Japanese voice overs only caught me off guard. While I watch my anime subbed only, I typically tolerate English dubbing in games. There are exceptions here and there and I've gone on replaythroughs on the other one just to see what it's like (assuming there was a reason to play though again). Of course, the only thing that really bothers me about it is trying to play it in public.
Also, @Spirit Tracks: Characters sure using more archetypes typically seen in modern anime than other LoZ games.

Dead Rising for my 360 and Spirit Tracks for my DS. I'm eventually going to go pick up Crackdown 2 to play and beat that.

Just quit playing WoW about 2-3 weeks ago, might go back for cata but still unsure.
Currently playing Maple again and League of Legends. Really didn't think I would be playing maple again but heard about the big bang and then with all the new stuff in the patch today, it seems like there is enough to keep it interesting without it just being one huge grindfest. LoL(hate this name, but its easier to type so w.e) is a TON of fun, never played dota so i cant compare it to that, but its been pretty easy to get into. You dont start out with any of the playable heros, but each week they provide 10 or so heros that you can play for free. 54(?) heros total and they cost from 450-6300 IP, so buying them isnt a huge deal. I forget what IP stands for, but each match you play you gain 50-120 IP depending on if you win/lose, match length and how many games you have completed in a row(aka not rage quit in the middle of the game).

Just picked up Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. I've gotten killed about 7 times just in the second dungeon. I don't recall the first SMT being this hard...

I'm currently playing WoW on the PC, and CoD Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox. I sure hope that Last Stand pistolers don't go to the level of easymode as OMA Noobtubers.

Was having a nostalgia fit and I went and started playing Seiken Densetsu 3 again while in the middle of my playthrough of Suikoden II. Lately though it's been kinda just sitting and saying to myself, "oh, I gotta get through that game ASAP", then waiting till it is too late at night to start with any decent level of progression.
Odd Request
On that note, the peer pressure for Okage earlier did wonders for me actually finishing stuff, so I'll ask what to play next again.
These are my list of debatables:
Persona 3: FES
Persona 4
Suikoden 3 (Getting burnt out going in order though)
Odin Sphere (As much as I like it so far, to put it bluntly I'm not too good at it)
Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth (Hoping to save it for a trip, although by the looks of it we can't afford one this year...)
Half Life 1 - current (At the point where the military goes purging everything, still don't get it's overwhelming popularity)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Green stars)
Metal Gear Solid 3
Ar Tonelico (Finishing Aurica Path)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Is there any advantage/possibility of never loosing a character in this game? Lost the childhood friend guy early on and I'm not sure I want to restart.)
Valerye Profile (Screwed up getting the good ending on normal without realizing it. Is getting the good ending on hard that difficult?)
Shining Force Neo (Forgot exactly where I was, but 3 seconds of being pummeled wipes out my party where I am.)
Shining Force (Yay grinding for lvl 20 Class changes -_-)
Mana Khemia (Only avoiding it to keep in the release order of the Gust games)
Star Ocean 2
Mega Man Legends 2 (Was stuck at some really tall boss that for some reason I could never kill, even after around a half hour of shooting and dodging)
Any MegaMan/MagamanX/Zero game in their respective collections
Baten Kaitos (I was stuck in some sort of airship before a boss with no way to improve my stats, but the file got corrupted anyway along with most of my old GC stuff)
Secret of Evermore (Had it on my comp for ages, yet never finished it)
Dirge of Cerberus (Was waiting till I finished FF7 before going further, but now I forgot the plot or where I was.)
Metroid Prime Hunters (Explored every planet and I couldn't figure out what to do next. Have since forgotten what I did prior to getting lost.)
... and about 6 others that I completely forgot where I was/plot at the time. But I think I'll pass on those for the time being.
Anyhow, keep in mind continuity when recommending things, since I'd prefer to not have plot holes if I can help it.

Started playing Disgaea DS again. 50ish hours in and I'm halfway trough chapter 10, but I was smart and reincarnated every member of my team at once, rather than one at a time. I did find a map which made grinding easier but it's still annoying(freaking zombies and their poison!).
Also logging on to Maple every other day.

FlameChocobo
Final Fantasy IV on my Playstation 2 (It's a Playstation game, and I also have a Playstation, but PS2 is going to be my main console for Playstation games).
Searching for the Break Sword/Break Blade/Medusa Sword will take like hours for sure, and I'm also getting the cluster of Medusa Arrows. Just incase you haven't notice, I'm hunting Black Lizards for one.
Teams
Cecil - Level 39 Paladin
Kain - Level 40 Dragoon/Dragon Knight
Edge - Level 34 Ninja
Rydia - Level 38 Summoner
Rosa - Level 39 White Mage

Xbox: Read Dead Redemption and Modern warfare 2.
At this point, I am truly fed up with Mw2. I played a few games earlier today and every game uncluded an ac130/chopper gunner/harrier and a few nukes. I only play at this point because 95% of my friends are playing it, even if one of my good friends is playing Red Dead, I am right on it. it's really alot of fun just exploring.
I also started playing DFO a few days ago, Im at level 17 now and I find it really fun, mostly because I don't consider dungeons grinding.

I'm waiting for the new DLC for Mass Effect 2 to come out, though the 800 MSPoints price tag is a bit of a put off...
it better be worth it. Overlord DLC was great, and the ending was very satisfying for both paragon and renegade.
