How hard is it exactly to nail all the combos for successful training as an aran?

So mobs are your best friends, especially at high levels when your highest damage comes from a move requiring 30 combo.
Aran's have a low base hp, we all can agree on that, so how does an Aran Pap or zakum? Zakum is a peach when it comes to stunning thus destroying the combo, I read on basil somewhere that aran's stand on the body so they don't lose their combo. Does that mean Aran can't boss efficiently until the very late levels?
That video is outdated though. Smart Knockback was changed so you can't do that so easy now.
She IS dealing over 10k dmage per hit, which is pap's knockback for all classes anyway, so really it's not that much different from a NL doing 10k damage per star or a bowmaster doing 10k per arrow, right?
ok, since no one felt like answering my question, i went and looked around. Google results give me http://www.ellinforest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3400, where they show the hp/mp of Kara, and its much higher then any normal level 200 could be, so its more or less confirmation that washing is possible.
And yeah, i didn't really doubt that you wouldnt be able to(given how profitable it is for nexon), but when someone mentions things like that i get worried.
From what I've heard, they get around 47 HP per level, so you could easily have around 6.5k by 130. Hell, get HB and you can already "hump" Zakum's 3rd body. The most important thing about party boss runs is connections, anyways. You're not going to be denied from a ZRun because you can't "hump" Zakum's 3rd body.
Also, lolpap sucks for any melee class, but it's really easy to take the touch damage.
Yeah. She does catch him occasionally, but not for very long. With an apple and or SE you could easily be able to, but unfortunately those aren't even in KMS.

I have a tiny question I'm not sure anyone has asked yet, as I don't follow Aran that closely.
Is it better to go out of your way and keep your high combos or just recharge it from scratch? Example is when Pap ducks in and there's a bomb somewhere over a distance away.
Has anyone translated the exact words from the Aran Ring you get when you hit third job? Is it one of a kind? Scissor-able? Exact stats? Able to be transferred in some sort of way?
Is the one-of-a-kind per account of per character? Anyways now I might aswell just make 1 Aran because you can't get multiple of the rings on each character and it's not like I have separate sets of common equipment for each character.
I wonder if Nexon Korea is going to do more of these things. If each new class gives a ring with different effects it might give some choice on which equipment to wear (even though you can wear 4 rings). I really hope they are going to make more different and usefull rings, pendants, earrings, accesories and capes anyway.

Would the Smart KB change completely make it useless if it's only usable in training now?

Edit: By the way, if anyone still reads this, does anyone know what Pianus-ing is like with an Aran? I've noticed that even in the lvl16x Miss Godly videos she hits under 10-12k at times, which would set off bombs. If you're unwashed without their Achilles skill and the combo defense, can you survive the bombs at around 13x-14x? Or is it not really an issue with how Aran's attacks affect bomb activation?
I dont mean to hijack your question but it brings a rather intriguing thought. Sorry if it was covered earlier but wouldnt blood building (not washing) be ideal for aran? You get ton's of hp to tank bosses early yet maintain your combo without being stunned. You do less damage therefore maintain higher combo's right?

So I've been meaning to, y'know, prepare ahead by buying a good number of Polearm scrolls and Polearm weapons, but I've sorta procrastinated and just now decided to finally get on it.
IF I can find anything still cheap (highly doubtful, but I'll still look), what kind of weapons should I look for? I had bought a Guan Yu Polearm a month ago, but all but 1 scroll failed on it, so it's basically useless... but with some spare Maple Coins from CPQ on a low-leveled character, I got a 76 ATT Nine Dragons--should I keep this and use it for my Aran?
Are the Snowboards any good? I've got a good number of different ones, but no Super Snowboard. I also got some of the Valentine's event Roses, would they be good to use?
Basically just need to know what weapons I should, IDEALLY, have/use from 30 to the end-game weapon.
I think the roses are good enough for like unfunded people. the boards as well considering both items generally have a faster speed than the other polearms of that level barrier... Way i see it, it's just like making any class- find the best weapon that you can afford and stick with it until you can afford to buy another one.
105+ Karstan or *some attack here* arcglaive would probably be good for end game. Ima just use clean weapons forever (YAY event weapons :D) just because i can't really afford a decent polearm with 30 mil...

The Arans start out with a unique hair colour and skin colour--if I were to change to another hairstyle, would it retain that really unique Aran colour, or would it change?
Do we get an extra character slot if we use our 4 character slots when Arans come out?
I just noticed that. They only get a new skin, there is no white hair. But you will get to have any skin on your Aran no doubt just like with Cygnus. It's only KMS that doesn't let you change. Though this makes me think if they do make a new class what will they pick for the default skin.

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning that extra slots will probably only be given to accounts that are older than a given date decided by nexon. As was the case with KoCs... I think all accounts made before the KoC patch were expanded, but the new ones are still stuck with the usual 3 slots (which kind of makes reasonable sense anyway).
I, for one will enjoy having another slot for a mule. I dont believe in having more than one main per account, for the sake of being able to use more than one at a time or incase i get hacked. (But now also keeping a secondary just for blessing advantage)

How does Final Toss actually work. I know that it pushes monsters into the air, and that you do more damage on airbone-monsters. But do monsters stay long enough in the air for the added damage? How do you train with Final Toss? Do you toss every monster into the air, and use it everytime after Triple Swing? I would like to know how usefull it is and if it should be maxed before or after the attack increasing skills (Full Swing, Critical Combo, Snow Charge and Phantom Peril). =)
Final Toss is very hard to work with in 3rd job, mine is only level 1 and I can barely ever hit them when the monster is in the air. I've heard it gets easier once it's higher leveled and you hit 4th job. Aslo, Smart Knockback apparently helps it a little.
Monsters stay in the air if you can KB them as they are falling. You train with final toss just as a way to add extra damage if you can't 1hko/2hko. It really helps to add damage to a large mob where Aran's get their damage distributed between them. It only activates after triple swing if you press up and attack. You can decide between many moves after triple swing, or not, so it doesn't activate after every triple swing. As for maxing it, I don't really know when the best time have maxed it would have been. Definitely max it before Combo Peril though.
I was just wondering if anyone has managed to find out the attack time in ms of the Aran skills for each attack speed. If possible, could someone extract them and put them here / in the attack speed reference area?
Thanks for the answers. Final Toss is a difficult skill to calculate the damage for the Aran Calculations I'm doing. If for example when you do after Final Toss another Triple Attack, and the monsters are airbone with the first 2 attacks and not anymore with the third attack, plus you do Final Toss after every Triple Attack, then it would be calculateable. But as I see now, Final Toss is an unpredictable skill. =(
I have another question. Is it true that the last attack of Triple Attack has spread out damage? That means that when for example the skill is maxed, not all monsters receive the full 250% damage, but a fraction of it like the warriors Final Attack? Are there other skills with spread out damage? Otherwise I have to rerun my calculations. :eek:
im figuring out what would be a good build for my aran if i where to reach 4th job (which im 100% sure i will). by saying that i mean i couldnt care less if i miss out some 2nd or 3rd job skills if i dont use them at 4th job.

From my limited knowledge (sorry if this isn't much help), Final Charge is like Rush, and as a warrior you know how amazing that skill is. You'll use it in 4th job plenty of times.
I would've said Fenrir Phantom would replace Combo Smash but there's a difference of 70 combo between them. But from most videos I've seen, they just recast Drain if their combo was in danger of running out instead of pulling out a Combo Smash.
Apparently you won't ever use Whirlwind. You can leave it at 0. I don't see why you'd want to push and stun things when you need to hug them and continue your combo. So to answer your second question, the 2/3 you'll use in 4th job is Fenrir Phantom and Final Toss. Although I only see it used very few times in very few videos. So I'm not entirely sure how useful the skill actually is. It adds extra damage but you can only use it after Triple Swing, and I'm sure whatever monster you're attacking will have lost most of its hp or would be dead if you use Final Blow after Triple Swing instead.
Final Blow is a necessity. I see it used in every video, and the Zakum/Horntail ones. Good for 1v1, even better for mobs.
From what I've been told and what I've seen, Combo Tempest isn't very good at all. Maybe Lv1 will be enough for a while. I'd rather spend the 200 Combo on Barrier.
Normal attacking chain is Attack>Attack>Attack>Final Blow. Sorry I don't know the names, I think it's just Overswing>Double Swing>Triple Swing>Final Blow. That itself already has a wide range. I see that as the "spammed" attack sequence in pretty much all the videos.
I'd assume in bosses you just keep Combo Barrier up, if there's a large mob, you can fire off a Fenrir Phantom or use Combo Tempest.

AFAIK, there is no minimum combo requirement for casting it (just only triple swing), so why doesn't she use it a lot more?
Like: ATTACK > ATTACK > ATTACK > DOWNARROW > ATTACK [repeat]

Question: At what levels do you actually get all the quests? I have the quest guide from Ellin Forest (here), but it's kind of ambiguous.
From the looks of it, it seemed like she was kb'ing just as well with Final Blow as without.
Maybe using FB makes her more vulnerable to getting knocked off? Or it's just faster to spam overswing instead of using Blow at the end? o_O
It is just easier to do overswing after overswing than to perform a Final Blow. Final Blow really doesn't mess back knockbacks, but it can be a hassle to use if you don't do it perfect every time (i.e. you press the key too early and you lay down for a second). I only use final blow now to finish off a mob because it can sometimes save me a few overswing hits. And as a warning, Final Blow's range is WAY TOO FAR. Whenever I am training I have to be careful to not hit things too far away because then I aggro them, have to rush to them, and I take a lot more damage. And just cause I feel like adding it, the picture in my post illustrates my best reference point for Final Blow's range. From one of those platforms to the other.

If I have a ZHelm and a Guan Yu (82att 32acc), I should use the speed shoes instead of making ACC shoes, right?

I read a lot of guides, and (almost) all suggest:
max triple swing
max combo critical
max snow charge
max toss
max fenrir phantom (or whatever it's called)
Is the 110% damage that great? Since I'll be training at himes lvl 85~1xx, should I get fenrir phantom earlier? The 100 combo is quite easy to get... with a priest I always got 8~12 himes, 100 combos would take 2-3 hits.
I'm not sure how Aran's fight =/

You'll outdamage a fenrir before ice build by far with the ice before fenrir build because critical's power and frequency are only at their peak when your combo is 100+.
Really, the only reason fenrir is maxed is because whirlwind sucks and fenrir is just barely useful when you're going to lose your combo anyways (like at skeles/wyverns on the bottom panel or at Oblivion when you have to climb a rope and rebuff).
So what's the recommended build?
70~77 max triple swing
77~84 max critical combo
84~94 max final toss
94~100 max snow charge
100~110 max fenrir
I capped my pirates dex at level 70.. I'm not sure what to cap my dex at on my Aran, I don't want to go dexless or super low.. So what would the average dex for an Aran around 70? I've searched warrior threads and it's hard to find what I'm looking for. ^^; Thanks :D
How do Arans cope with acc? I've never played a warrior, will 17 acc from my MM's Blessing help my noob Aran a lot if I go dexless?
yes it will help you a lot but you'll still have some accuracy problems. at lvl 50 you'll need to make a well scrolled accuracy zakum helmet. untill then you can use dex overalls. the eassiest and cheapest way to get some nice accuracy at start is to buy a lvl 30 or 35 warrior overall and scroll them with 100% overall dex scroll for the kerning city swamp scroll npc. you can also use accuracy pills from ludibrium.
this way its fairly well possible to leave your dex capped between 4 and 23. dont go over 23 dex because then you cant reach 999str at lvl 200
edit: some additional info that might help you,
1dex = 0,8 accuracy
1luk = 0,5 accuracy
that means a clean zakum helm average gives 39,5 accuracy
stuff like an aran ring (3/3/3/3) allready gives 3,9 accuracy. since we have a lot of equips that add points to all stats i think you should proffit from that. those equips add both str for your dmg and accuracy for hitting stuff. that way you can leave other equips left to scroll purely for dmg, not worrying about accuracy
Dont forget the 500combo medal. It gives +3 luk/dex and 5 Accuracy.
Also 17accuracy is huge I only get 8 a 9 accuracy difference can make a difference from 80% to 100% hit.
Also you are better off using a bathrobe for speed.
Later in higher lvls when you can 100% the monsters you train on switch to top/bottom which will lower your accuracy so make sure you plan ahead of time.
And speed shoes>accuracy shoes same for cape until higher lvls.
In no event get a Accuracy glove adding dex is a much better idea.
To be dexless you only need around 300m check the thread on lolbasil to go on basil its under the warrior section.
So i have a 99/13 karstan ready for Aran. How long will this last me? Order of goodness seems to be Purp Surfboard->Arcglave->Red Surfboard -> Eclipse -> Karstan. So should I go for makering/scrolling an Eclipse to use at 80, or will the karstan be fine for longer? Note that once I get a zhelm I won't really need the karstan's acc until Time temple shenanigans.

Knew I needed to change something! I'll check that right away. Yes, it is the combo divided by ten, but does not effect the critical. Critical Count changes that.
Just checked it, and it appears the info in the error box is wrong. You CAN raise it to 10, but the error message says from 0-5. Ill edit it later.

yeah, since ppl rarely gacha in nlc here... most of the raven weapons and other masteria weapons came from gold boxes.
