The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Hero - 2008-08-02 elemental fast(4) 1h sword with more base attack than a red katana and i will suck nexon's plantain seriously In all seriousness though, elemental stuff for classes that don't have elements would screw things up. I don't want elements for anyone but the classes that have them by default.. it's their strongest point, and if you equalize that those classes will die out even more and everyone will bandwagon others. or something idk god damnit The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Afrobean - 2008-08-02 Hazzy Wrote:The monster doesn't look elemental to me. There's too many colors for it to come in variations. xPIf the idea is that they're elementally charged weapons, that's all that would need to be elementally colored to imply elemental attacks. And actually, I would say they're probably ghosts. Being a ghost doesn't stop you from being able to wield a weapon though, least of which a fire or ice elemental weapon. But not spears. (-hasn't caught on with the rest of the topic-) The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - IsaacGS - 2008-08-02 Afrobean Wrote:If the idea is that they're elementally charged weapons, that's all that would need to be elementally colored to imply elemental attacks.I get the feeling these are the 120 Guardian monsters, because it looks like we'll have to enter Crimsonwood from underground. Because of that it seems more likely that they'll be ghosts of Crimsonwood soldiers. I don't think they'll make elemental weapons for other jobs, there's nothing really elemental in crimsonwood and it would ridiculously unbalance the game. Nexon wants to create balance, not destroy it. *scroll for bow for elemental, please. XD* The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - InTraining - 2008-08-04 sooo, considering that Maplestory iTCG set 4 is supposed to come out on the 12th (a Tuesday, btw) the patch will be either in 2 days, or next week. I'm sure Nexon wouldn't let the cards ship before they can get the corresponding patch out, so I think its safe to say we will have a patch within the next 2 weeks.. Now if the cards ship, and still no patch..
The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Stereo - 2008-08-04 If anything elemental weapons would only boost skills that already use that element & be somewhat useless to classes who don't use elemental attacks (unless they have godly w.atk), I'm pretty sure that's how the magician Elemental stuff works (and maybe they even have a penalty on skills without matching elements, I don't remember). I guess if there was a Fire Bow then Rangers could regret skipping Inferno all over again :p The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Tikey - 2008-08-04 Stereo Wrote:If anything elemental weapons would only boost skills that already use that element & be somewhat useless to classes who don't use elemental attacks (unless they have godly w.atk), I'm pretty sure that's how the magician Elemental stuff works (and maybe they even have a penalty on skills without matching elements, I don't remember). Both of your statements are correct.
The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Jirai - 2008-08-04 The fact that the patch notice hasn't gone up probably means it won't be tomorrow night, right? Here's hoping for wednesday night :x The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Alloy - 2008-08-04 If elemental stuff was added to all classes, it should bee added like this: (I'll put the hermit example) Elemental stars: Give a slight (SLIGHT = 5% aprox) increase in damage for element weak, slight decrease for element resistance, and immunity = no damage. BUT they should be a bit weaker than their counterparts... for example, ilbis. Also, make them a level limit, and on a radical note, you could make them recharge only in one place in the whole world map. Even though, recharging fireballs in the depth of the El Nath Volcano would be quite awesome...
The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - revansithasasin - 2008-08-05 yes, yes it would, i would have reason lvl my noobie sin again to try that out, stuff like that would be wonderful additions to this game. The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Tamekii - 2008-08-05 Updated first post with some info about the patch ^^ The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Cheesecake - 2008-08-05 Tamekii Wrote:Updated first post with some info about the patch ^^ omgosh, you've renewed my hope
The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Roads - 2008-08-05 Tamekii Wrote:Updated first post with some info about the patch ^^ well, not exactly correct.. the iTCG set 4 release will be at 8/10.. aka, a patch 4 days later? woot? it's gonna be 100% sure next week. but it can be any day. The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Lozmaster - 2008-08-05 I'm sure some of the other classes would be very happy about it , but I'd be rather..annoyed if suddenly everyone could make use of elemental weaknesses via weapons/stars/arrows/whatever. The only class who need that damage boost imo is mages , and maybe paladins on ice charge. The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Tamekii - 2008-08-05 Roads Wrote:well, not exactly correct.. Where did you saw the release date?o.o If the release date will be on 8/10 we need the patch this week o.O?! There's also been some rumors of september 9th however. The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Tamekii - 2008-08-05 Updated first post with Interview to Tenton Hamster and Screenshots! Hope you liked it =) The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08] - Mira - 2008-08-06 ![]() I noticed, while over-analizing the screenshots, that all these monsters have blue skin. The two mages wear similar clothes. They also wear masks, and have the same type of eyes. They ALSO have glowie hands. xD All of them, however, seem to have a symbol on them. Anyone else see anything I missed? |
