I just got my four of those for the week. Good thing they haven't forgotten me :f3:

It's not even just from then. Any ticket that hasn't been answered or closed gets a pineappleing reminder every Monday. Can we self-close tickets?
I like to check on my ticket once in a while and leave random messages to them. It'll never get read why not?
I just have to say... after 5 years of being the only person with my info, pouring hours upon hours upon hours into this game, thinking I was working towards some awesome goal, it's finally over. Last night I was hacked, losing all my tradable items and pure mesos on my main. I don't expect Nexon to actually fix anything, and even if they do how can you feel confident about continuing to drop cash or time into something like this. They could have easily deleted my characters, dropped my untradables, and any number of random things to hurt the account but they obviously just went for the quick money. They only went for one character as well. It's just strange overall. I can only hope Nexon steps up their game and can fix all this for me and the others affected.
I want to ask anyone who's been hacked, have any of you changed your password in the last 1.5 weeks?
I don't know what Nexon has planned to fight these hackers, but I think they should at least hire skilled hackers to find exploits and threats. Nexon takes too long to react when it comes to security issues, having skilled hackers on the job will prevent many exploits. They would get paid to find security flaws before all the packet monkeys and script kiddies do. Once they find threats depending on the threat level they can either choose to do an unscheduled sever check or patch it in the next server check. I know this idea isn't perfect but I think it's better than what Nexon is doing.
I think it's safe to say these hackings don't have anything to do with that list. All the people I knew that were hacked weren't on that list, and all the people on that list that I know, including me, haven't been hacked. And I haven't even changed my pw/pic.
I didn't even notice this thread that was posted on sleepy http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/show...1692636&page=5 Although it still wouldn't explain some people who haven't logged on in awhile being hacked.
I haven't got anything new to add to the thread, nor do I have any technical insight, but I just wanted to add that a guildie that hasn't logged in for about 2 months or so was hacked yesterday. They logged in, I was suspicious, found them in the CS, then gone, then checked the FM of their channel and found a hacker selling her goods. Is the MTS still related? I don't think so, at least not for this one.
I know of someone who got hacked. Name wasn't on the list, and it wasn't an active account. Suggestion to everyone is to make a completely new mule and store your stuff there till this stops. I don't understand why Nexon doesn't acknowledge this and find the root of the problem >.>
Same here.
That was made by Jubei lol. She left Southperry cause she was always proved wrong.Quote:

There is an awful lot of conflicting information going around. The SW thread is saying that the PW is still going out PLAIN TEXT, yet others have said that the login page at least is a secure encrypted one using 'Go Daddy' CA or some such. So who is right?
I'm trying to figure out if changing my already strong PW is a good idea or a bad one. No one is going to crack or brute force a long mixed up PW, and PW are not being reset. So that means that they are either being intercepted, or bypassed. Changing the PW could be exactly the wrong thing to do, especially since someone said that the PW change page is NOT protected.
https://twitter.com/#!/theguruofvoodoo the guy twitter she link to seem to know what he is talking about. Even though jubei was a pest she is knowledgeable regarding computer tech etc.
She posted a way to test the claim

That's EXACTLY where I stand.
At first I thought all those people were just keylogged, but nah. There is more to this than that
TOO many people have been getting hacked recently, and that scares the crap out of me
I don't know if changing my current-strong PW is a good thing to do, or can harm,
that's why I was glad the guy in the upper posts asked whether they have changed their password before getting hacked, but I couldn't find a definite answer,
I'm still very confused about this whole thing...
