Google Did It Again - flydemonflyy - 2013-08-01 time to add paid premium member upgrade??? exclusive access to visual flair, etc, whatever make the hardcore posters wet and hard and want to throw money on the screen (don't make it useless like reddit gold) Google Did It Again - Untradeable - 2013-08-01 flydemonflyy Wrote:time to add paid premium member upgrade??? exclusive access to visual flair, etc, whatever make the hardcore posters wet and hard and want to throw money on the screen (don't make it useless like reddit gold) That already exists. Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-01 We already have the donor market, but the only thing we have of value is extractions, and we make more from google on the anonymous visitors coming to view them than anyone would be willing to pay to keep the site going on a consistent basis so paywalling them would be counter productive and simply result in one of other, crappier, sources getting the traffic. Lose lose. Users would get to see extractions, I think, up to a day earlier than common folk. However, increased pressures on getting extractions out sooner made this not good - especially because the first day of extractions are the days in which SP gets the most views. Google Did It Again - DeanNim - 2013-08-02 is it possible for the notifications dropdown to block the ad bc eos you are still screwed. Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-02 We already covered that. Google Did It Again - Zerard - 2013-08-03 Ah, Google... For some reason, I'm not terribly confident they know much about designing a web site. I mean... just take a look at Youtube.

Oh yeah, doesn't YouTube's own little drop-down box (next to the word 'Upload') cover a bit of their big advertisement? Why can they go against their own rules? o.e Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-05 ChosenFruit Wrote:Oh yeah, doesn't YouTube's own little drop-down box (next to the word 'Upload') cover a bit of their big advertisement? I guess that's regional. I don't have those HUGE ads, or any ads at all. Even with whitelisted on adblock. Btw Eos; this is kinda... inane but: Why I don't get the "chinchilla" support even if the site is displaying several ads? And yet I've seen some people with it. Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-05 Chew Wrote:Why I don't get the "chinchilla" support even if the site is displaying several ads? You only get credit for the adsense ads, not the project wonderful and it's whopping 30 cents a month. Haven't you checked other alternatives? Chitika maybe? Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-06 I've looked at dozens. The problem is giving one a chance means taking a loss just to prove it's going to be a loss. Google Did It Again - Chew - 2013-08-10 Hm... weird. Today I log on (8:13 Am Central time if that helps) and I saw a AdSense working, but after a few minutes later all the ads didn't show up except for the Project Wonderful ones. And I still have my Chinchilla support emblem. Google Did It Again - Eos - 2013-08-10 AdSense is still working. It might not have had anything for you, or had a hiccup. It was weird for me to see an ad today. Do you have any idea why it doen't "have anything for me"? |
