I think some people ended up with Suborbital and some people got Eight-Legs from it back when it actually worked.

That's what I did with one of my buddies. He didn't have a badge, passed leadership to me (I had it), and then I took the entire party pass the PQ stage.

That's useful to say the least. I thought everyone needed a badge of their own for some reason.

Just getting the Cry on the first weekend after instancing so I could grab the badge myself was irritating enough, really scuppered my plans for HTing regularly, and it hasn't really become much less busy since then either. Since the server alliances, that is the situation everywhere, except the Renegades world.

It's still far less of a bottleneck than 30 people per maintenence.

While that is true, not everyone has that privilege. Some end up having to pay for their cards.
