Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Alloy - 2011-09-03 ShiKage Wrote:Also, if GMS were to get this, it's possible that they could also release the two special professions JMS released. With the Tamer profession, you can summon up to 3 Monster Familiars at a time. I'd like to know more of those. What traits do they raise? And can you trade their benefits to others like alchemists do with potions or blacksmiths with tradeable gear? Or just a selfish profession everyone would need to have? To be honest, I have absolutely no idea about either of them, really, since I went Mining + Blacksmithing (which was merged with Jewelry Crafting). :X Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Alloy - 2011-09-03 ShiKage Wrote:To be honest, I have absolutely no idea about either of them, really, since I went Mining + Blacksmithing (which was merged with Jewelry Crafting). :X Well, if you manage to find out, it'd help me decide if it's good or bad for GMS. Specially considering that if it's 100% "selfish", EVERYONE will go get it, and nobody else will forge/make potions other than mules. I think the only non-selfish thing about it is that you can make Monster Familiars / trap monsters that you can trade/give to someone. I don't think it uses anything from other professions and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything that can be used in other professions. Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Berzerk - 2011-09-03 If anything, it's completely possible. We're the version closest to completion (completion meaning up to date with KMS), and we're going to run out of content. I wouldn't be surprised. It is the only WT we have, too. That's if you don't count Singapore though :/. Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Celan - 2011-09-04 ShiKage Wrote:You collect monster card-looking cards called "Familiars" which can be excruciatingly rare for all but LOW level monsters. When you get one, it goes to your USE inventory where you can double click it and name your monster. The Monster Familiar is then stored in your Monster Book under the "Familiar" tab. When you go to the Familiar tab, you will immediately see a list of monsters you have collected. When you double click one of the monsters, you can summon them, much like a pet, but they have the ability to attack other monsters and they give special abilities, such as increasing STR/DEX/INT/LUK, increasing Speed/Jump, healing you and your party members, making you transparent, making your character glow a certain color, etc. When summoned, the monster you have out will have a red sphere above its head with "気" within it, indicating its vitality. As it attacks a monster or boss, its vitality goes down. When it goes down to 0, it goes back into your Familiar inventory in your Monster Book and you cannot summon it until a time has passed that allowed that monster to regain its vitality. You can, however, summon another Familiar during the time the other one's vitality is recovering. So BASICLY, WH's summon with attacking skills. Dang, me gusta mucho! Edit: I also just got a blub: Doesn't GMS make ANOTHER PvP mode? Oh pomegranate, monster PvP idea. Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - danielcatu - 2011-09-05 arent we supposed to get a new patch anytime soon? :f6: because its almost 1 month after age of updatehopefully we get something related to it Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Satellite - 2011-09-05 Am I the only one who doesn't want monster familiar/extra professions to gMS. I find them way too radical for exclusive content... What does jMS release next? 5th job? New class? Level limit of 300? I don't like the idea of this pokemon feature in MS. I can't help myselr, it sounds really broken too, if those mobs can attack on monsters.. Now what? You just summon 3 Pink Beans and go afk? Not to mention that in gMS, hackers would be on this since day one. Could this mean Monster Familiar may come to GMS? - Netto - 2011-09-05 I'm all for Monster Familiar and new profession
