Sometimes it really can be that simple, coming from someone a few steps ahead of OP here. I met my girlfriend on Maple 2.5 years ago. Her being from NJ and I from TN. Pretty decent stretch, but around 8 months in I saved up some money and paid a visit. It's really all been progressing smoothly from there. After she graduated HS she started college in PA, a state we both very much like. I joined the military, and got stationed in DC (2-3 hrs away). We see each other every other weekend, and she stays with me over the holidays. Certainly not what I thought would come out of all those years of maple.

I used to be skeptical about online relationships, I really never gave them a chance until I met someone I appreciated enough to try it with. Ended up being a great success, and I wouldn't change a thing if I could. We plan on marriage once it's reasonable with our seperate lives, but they are fusing together day by day and should one day be the same!

While jumping straight into engagement might not be my plan of action. I do find it hard not to wish we were married. I've found the easiest thing to do is make small positive steps and always find the next thing that will bring you closer together (even if just a little bt). Best of luck to you though!

Just a little. I think that is reasonable.

Having someone in that aspect so close to you mentally but so far away physically is challenging, but don't give up if you think it's meant to be.
I was in a relationship for about 2 years (ended recently because I'm going to be moving away to college after this years up and I wanted to just finish up and not have any strong ties before I had to leave, personal choice.) and it was hard cause her parents would abuse her and not let her go anywhere to see me because I was supposedly the devil to them. Whatever, we still made it work and I truly cherished her.

Grats on everything and don't listen to the people that are probably sitting in their room right now so insecure about themselves that they need to try and rain on your parade.

My age will remain disclosed. Howeverr, I'll say I'm younger then a good portion of SP, but not too much younger to make me a child. Average age for GMS. A little immature because of a major set back I've had in my life. Not immature to the point where I act like an ass(lolmostjocks)but to where I well..am insecure, and gets emotional easily.

Thanks! Great it all worked out for you. We'll be moving together really really soon to the point where we can see each other everyday.

I don't see the point of this thread.

You have, potentially, found your life-long partner. Congratulations, you're not unique.

Relationships are a waste of time for me, too much drama, and I have no ability to feel love, so it can't be done.
