$10 passport for online play. - Eos - 2011-07-17 Sarah Wrote:Game companies used to be able to put more new games on the shelves because there was a demand for them, they didn't have to compete with the same game being recycled over and over. Give me any solid reasonable facts or basis proving any of this because it looks like the deluded ravings of how someone thinks a perfect world would work, not anything remotely grounded in the reality of design, development, ideas or supply & demand. $10 passport for online play. - Sarah - 2011-07-17 Eos Wrote:Give me any solid reasonable facts or basis proving any of this because it looks like the deluded ravings of how someone thinks a perfect world would work, not anything remotely grounded in the reality of design, development, ideas or supply & demand. Since when have you known me for anything else? But my point, while maybe not totally realistic and I'm far too lazy to do the amount of research backing my claim up would take (as it turns out it would take more than just comparing sales numbers). Either way, I'm not totally against this because I do think that game makers aren't quite getting what they deserve because of piracy and immediate second hand sales. I'm just against things like one pass per person and keeping the system active after a few years when you can't even buy the game new at a reasonable price. As far as I'm concerned, if you can't dish out that extra $5 a few days after a games release then you probably don't deserve access to the online features. As a game maker, I wouldn't want to support someone who can't be bothered to support me while the option is reasonably available. $10 passport for online play. - Sarah - 2011-07-21 The UPlay passport will be $8.00 with the first game using it set to be Resistance 3. No word on if Assassin's Creed Revelations will, also. Other companies (EA) are selling them for $10.00 so this a little nicer. A little. |
