No. I mean why play a Japanese version when English versions are readily available?

Because the titles are messed up. Green was actually released under the name "Blue Version" so the original Blue version is the one that wasn't released outside of Japan because of the title change. The international version of Red was released here using the Blue Version's sprites, and engine instead of its original sprites. It's like re-modifying Final Fantasy IV by naming it Final Fantasy II and using the Easy Type engine.

Here are the quick comparison.

Original VersionNorth American/International Version

Pokemon Red Version[Image: pocket-monsters-red-version.1.png][Image: pokemon_red_00.png]

So yeah. That's why I prefer Japanese version over North American version.

Anyways, got through Route 25 on the Blue Version. Now I'm going to do Yellow version.

I agree, but having 4 Japanese Versions of 1st Gen > 3 American Versions.

TRY THE F^@# AGAIN, CREEP!

Still doing some level grinding with my team on Yellow.

Now that's just uncalled for.

I think you should try all versions to see the subtle messups differences in the game esp. with NPC lines. NPCs sometimes have completely different personalities making it quite...amusing...
1st gen and 1st gen remade for the DS also has different graphics. Sometimes their entire image changes from version to version (FF esp.)

I'm back from camping, but I'm currently at Grandma's house. So tomorrow, I'll be home as soon as my Mother and Step Father are done with camping. That didn't do me any good since there's too many flies everywhere, which sucks.

Anyways. I defeated Kasumi/Misty, the 2nd Gym Leader of Kanto. Got through Routes 5 and 6 and done some Level grinding at Route 11 (I will be doing that after defeating Matis/Lt. Surge on the Yellow version). Got through S.S. St. Anne/S.S. Anne on Red, Green and Blue.

I'm going to update my team.

1st Gen was remade for the DS?

My bad: 2nd gen was remade for the DS. 1st gen was for GBA.
