there is a problem with what you are asking: "super weak" "crazy insane time investments" "decent equips" and "get to high lvls" are all relative terms. Weak for one person might be average for the next. I know people say you can compare between what "average" maplers have, but that depends on your sample, which may be skewed.
You are not going to level as fast as, or make money as quickly as, those who will spend a grand on NX a month and log in 16 hours a day. But whatever progress you do make making money or training is saved, and for NX/general merchanting, there is the MTS. That's the way MMO's in general are. You will likely have to spend roughly the same amount of time as others to get to where they are (though things like leeching and other things can create bit of shortcuts.). As long as the game is fun for the little bit of time you spend on it, what does it matter.
By starting this thread, you seem to WANT to be a high level damage hoar, without the drive/motivation/simply time to GET either high levels (160+) or funds/time to get rich merchenting for great gear.
And yes, it IS POSSIBLE to get far with 1-2 hours a day. But thats for like 2 years. Time = Money, you need one or the other, either mesos/NX, or time overall (per day doesnt need to be high, just culmative time).

My spreadsheet is only about half a year old, and I designed it so that it wouldn't become obsolete unless changes were made to skills. I'll update when full details of the new skill changes are released.
KoCs are insignificant to the game beyond 3rd job. For Arans, no one has provided reliable information on the attack speeds of each of their skills, so it is mostly guesswork.
What's wrong with Rapidshare? It's just an Excel file that is a fraction of a megabyte. If the link is broken I can reupload it.

You just have to be smart about it. I've managed to get "decent" equips without spending a single penny on nx, coupled with not too much playing.
Selling scrolls from quests gives you mesos to start investing and getting somewhere. It wont be enough to get ALL your equips, but if you use it to invest, then yeah, its enough. It's not hard coming up with money for "decent" equips. If you pap twice a day, that's 1-2 mill per day, assuming you dont get any good skillbooks. If you pap almost every day of the year, voila! 700 mill, enough to get <something> semi-decent.
It's not about quantity, its about efficiency.

I've never bought NX, rarely do stuff in FreeMarket and have a level 123 Shadower, 129 Buccaneer and 80 Thunder Breaker. Of course, I've been playing since the game was officially released, so I understand how it works. But all I've basically done has been kill stuff, loot the stuff the drop, sell it and do quest. I consider myself to be average in the damage department.

While you can easily enjoy the game without spending money, you will not reach level 200 without at least taking advantage of the MTS. That would take you years, perhaps more years than the lifespan of the game can give you, if you want to play moderately that is. Also not covering up the butt ugly equips Nexon so conveniently made end game... I would not be able to log on at all seeing branchnoses, scarlion helmets etc on my character. But hey, if Maple is a hobby, why not spend some if you got the extra cash? If you do not have your own money and still want to reach the heights of a game, I suggest asking mom or dad to buy you an offline one next x-mas.

You can, but you have to take advantage of Nexon's event's then.
For example:
Christmas - Hunted for Snow Pieces/Yarn/Red Books
Halloween - Purple Belt - Hunt coins and scroll a belt. 8 Atks are like 2 Bil now., Make those 20 Atk Pots
Summer - Gaga's Event - Scrolled an Agent Earring
Anniversary - Hunted for Maple Equips/Waited Under the Tree for a Maple Golden Leaf

Maker solves this problem. With Maker, you need only a few hundred k to make an equip. My gunslinger's lvl 50 equips cost about 500k. And at higher levels where equips become expensive, the price increase goes to maybe 1m without using jewels.

Take advantage of the market when there is a MASSIVE deflation, and buy the stuff you think will INFLATE over time. This is a risk, but it's up to you. Even if you don't have a shop, you can still sell stuff back, lol..

You have to consider the cost of monster crystals on your item's price. Even if you are getting them yourself through hunting, they still could have been sold.

ok to clarify a few things.
idont want to be a damage hoar. i just want to be strong enought to train at spots about normal to my lvl, and not get kicked out of parties, PQs, and in the future boss runs cuz im too weak
i have some money, not alot, maybe about 15$ a month, but there is no way that my parents are gonna let me spend it on an online game.
