Not entirely. Mastery and Skill books are on the important side of things... They need to fix them so they can continue making a profit off of Arans. Since the ring event only lasted two and a half weeks in JapanMS, there's no reason to make an Aran anymore, unless they fix fourth job. They'll lose money because no one will be spending anything on Aran CS items.

Not completely true. Before MSEA pulled off Episode 2, GMS was about a month ahead of them. Now, we're about at the same level. We also just got Mushroom Castle a week before they did.
MSEA - Ghost Ship in the Sea Mist PQ and possibly Kerning Square/Neo City (although that's likely way too soon for them, as that would mean the patches for the next few months would either be filled with crap, or they would be getting Evan like 2-4 months after KMS, rather than the usual half year wait)
GMS - Monster Cleanup and Ghost Ship in the Sea Mist PQ, although I wonder what's up with that Happy Maplemas thing referencing Neo Tokyo bosses?

Kerning Square and Monster Clean Up are the best guesses I have right now.
Expecting Kaede Castle or Ulu City also seems to be possible. I can't believe everyone forgot about Ulu City, considering it was also mentioned in the Happy Maplemas announcement too. Dukus and Montrecers are both pretty sweet training spots, and it's hard to believe this seemed kind of ignored and forgotten about in the guesses.
I'm not expecting Nexon to pull out any Masteria until the GMs start trying to hype us for the update.

I don't remember any hype for CWK II, and the last Masteria expansion (unless you count the Halloween one) was almost a year ago.
Though, if the storyline is more pomegranate like "We need to clog the water pipe... with trees! Kill x Dark Stumps!!1" I think I'd rather wait.

A month or so in advance, they showed us a picture of the giant statue at the center of the first map of inside the Keep inside of an announcement.
To add, NXProse updated the Chronicles of Masteria and opened and closed the Q&A thread when he could answer questions. That's where the hype of "ZOMG UNDERWATER CHAMBER, SO COOLZ" came from. I'm still laughing at how some people expected an underwater boss fight when we got "heavy water" lol.
In addition to that, they made a CwKPQ themed calendar to go alongside that; but the calendar was the biggest hint.

People expecting Future Toukyou -- You're not going to get that in January, unless Nexon America decides on Neo City instead. The entrance quest to Future Toukyou REQUIRES Kaede Castle. You can't get in without it.

But don't forget that a lot of maple version change original content for they need for example mounts in EMS from Magatia, not Leafre. CK change to 'Aqua Dungeon Expansioin' etc we can also get Neo Tokyo from JMS as our new masteria place can't we?

Neo City was bad enough. We don't need a third form of Neo Tokyo. Besides, the original was best, and we still have WT for the time being, so why change it?
Kaede + Neo Tokyo is a bit much for one patch, so either Monster Cleanup + Neo City or Monster Cleanup + (Ulu or Kaede)

If you want the story of Future Toukyou to be completely fucked up and have the Japanese capital in the middle of a European/American continent, go ahead, but that doesn't even come close to fitting in the same catagory or motif. It doesn't seem right. At least with CWK (according to Erich), Aqua is mentioned in the storyline. Masteria is still unkown to the Future Toukyou storyline.
