Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - Stereo - 2009-12-28 Goes back a little more, but ending up at Zakum's 3rd body with only a single party left made it pretty hard to win back in the day ![]() Especially when the Priest and Chief Bandit both die on the body... ![]() We did beat it with similar survivors at other points, all a matter of luck when you have no Apples and no 4th job though (ie. no Resurrect, you die you're done) 123 Dragon Knight (TsheejGo) 122 Crusader (EnduroJet) 117 Chief Bandit (StrayBird) 110 Hermit (Simpson7982) 107 White Knight (Oooh) 100 Priest (lHolySymboli) Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - King - 2009-12-29 imo if there is an efficient way of killing a boss, it would be stupid to do it the hard way with the wrong class combination I mean sure it is fun but it would just be a waste of time if you fail several times Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - Dusk - 2009-12-29 King Wrote:imo if there is an efficient way of killing a boss, it would be stupid to do it the hard way with the wrong class combination I don't think it's a waste of time as long as it was fun. Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - Bountyan - 2009-12-29 Once I was doing a CWKPQ on my Buccaneer, and as the PQ went on, there seemed to be less and less of a chance of finishing it as people kept dying. Time Leap and Ress was all used up, and all the Bishops died. The only ones left at around 10mins and below were this Shadower and I, and we ended up trying to solo the Warrior boss. Of course we failed, but it felt nice being one of the only people to actually survive the whole thing, and it was sorta fun attacking as a duo. Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - Bomber - 2009-12-29 They are my god favorite runs. It's challenging and tactical. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy with some sense of achievement. Like my first pap solo(1 hour 1k pots lost), pianos solo(took me sh'it loads of tries @ 90). And cwkpq run I had last week. In the end me, another paladin, and a bish had to solo warrior & archer to get the last two buyer's MoNs. We finished with 10 min. All 4 got their MoNs. I gained 30m + 3 man bonus ^__^. I love challenges x] Botched boss runs: Annoying or Extremely Fun? - Hotshot - 2009-12-31 Runs that lack in attack power can be really fun, although as I get stronger and higher-leveled they're less and less likely to lack attack power. The last 'epic' run I had was when I was sitting on a level 50 aran without autopot eating cheese and trying not to lag too badly while the underpowered zakum run to get my helm was going on. Funny how the two best attackes (myself and a 16x nl) were both on level 50 arans trying to get helms. Took forever, but I felt proud of not dying in all that time without autopot lol. HT can take a while, but in all my runs I don't think I've had an 'epic' one. I should probably make something on galacia to relive the epic unfunded boss run. |
