I played the SNES and Genesis as a kid. Even though they were outdated at the time, I still played 'em.

Still have a ton of old GB© games somewhere.

Yeah, I have my gameboy color too. I bought it in Japan when I went on a trip there. I remember how some other kid on the same tour group bought one too and we kept playing the whole time. I forget what game we were playing though.

The sound stopped working pretty quickly when I kept dropping it, but it still works fine otherwise.

This doesn't really make me feel old though.

What does make me feel old is that my brother is going to university in a couple of months and I realize how soon I'm going to do that too.

It's kind of sad, but at only 14, I've had this happen in school. We've talked about old TV shows and strange fads.

To elaborate for those who don't know, the Sega Game Gear was released only 2 years after the Nintendo Game Boy (making it one of the very early handheld game systems) but the Game Gear games were in color and had a built in adjustable light. So even though the earliest handheld games were in black and white, it didn't take long for them to find color.

Edit: Just to add on what makes me feel old, thinking back and remembering that the outside was fun and tiny toons still made references to Bush senior (IIRC)

My then best friend did though. I played NES and SNES, but my first console was a N64. Diddy Kong Racing ftw (my little sister was like 5 at the time, and would raise bloody hell whenever I "shot" her with the missile powerups, to the point that I was actually forbidden from doing so (even though she was still allowed to). Never owned an N64 though. My first "up to date" system was a GameCube; it felt weird seeing commercials for games that I could play.

Also, I got that copy of FFV at Anime Boston recently. I now need FFII (SNES) and Chrono Trigger.

I have a Super Nintendo with all of the original packaging. Apparently my dad kept it in the garage in case I wanted to return it, and the packaging has been there ever since.
