My e-mail already has a strong password to the point that I'm not concerned.
I've received 5 PIN/PIC reset requests now.
If needed, I will gladly remove the password on the Basil thread.
Has anyone posted this at sleepy or any other sites?
Alright, alright. I'll check back later for any updates.
Cya.
@Sarah,
Your wish has already been granted
ItachiPower just did. Anyways, there is a flaw with this. It is highly probably that the hacker goes onto Sleepywood/Basilmarket (perhaps Southperry, too). If he knows that this is a test, then he probably won't' hack the account
WEEEEEEEEEEE Its like we are hosting our very own Olympics Event!
Only 5 requests so far? id figure there would be more than double that.
Even if they do know it is just a test, 50mil is still somewhat nice, especially if it can be taken as easy as the other hackings seem to have been.
IMO, the hacker Isnt gonna hack it unless the honeypot is HUGE. If I were the hacker, getting 1bil + from random accounts, I would forget the relatively small 50m, keep the maplers feeling safe, and go to another random person.
Just a thought, but was there any similarity in the links to have the PIC/PIN reset from emails? if it is similar, it may be possible to get a link from another account and switch some characters around to get the PIC reset. Otherwise, disregard.
What don't you get about IT'S NOT AIMED AT ANYONE SPECIFICALLY. There is no ONE HACKER to speak of. The goal is to see if ANYONE who wants 50m will get passed the PIC. Regardless of what the person doing all of the other attacks does, others will still go after this and if it can be easily taken, that proves the PIC system to be worthless.
Fine. Hacker(s). I don't care.
My point is that anyone smart enough to get pass the PIC won't attempt to get pass the PIC of this one to put up the illusion that they can't get past the PIC.
Amount of times you get a reset PIC email =/= amount of times someone's attempting to get you hacked.
