Old rank, not old potential. It shows you hidden potential because it has to reset it and hidden potential is the way the game does that.

After the nerf, I can't say if drop rate works. However, before the nerf it did not. It only applied to coin bags. I could run around with 12x drop rate for 3 days straight and get nothing. Then the next 2 days I ran around with 1x drop rate and got 4 drops per day.

I feel like i get a lot more blades and superiors when i have pend+pig and i'm not sure why it wouldn't apply to the equipments too. They're normal monsters after all they aren't reactors.

It has been speculated that the drops don't come from the boss, but from some hidden mob down at the bottom of the boat (which we can see because some area-damage skills hit it), which is unkillable by itself but dies after the boss dies. If that is the case, personal drop multipliers won't apply to that mob, since you never hit it. (But a 2x drop event would apply)

That is VERY interesting, and unique. I was wondering what the point of that hidden hitbox was for but that totally explains it.

i always thought Gyarados/Livy was just ducking underneath the boat, and they forgot to add the animations
-
Re: Commerci sweetwater set
God, the Hit boxes for Livy such ass. I can only kill him on my Zero if I dash to the bottom right corner so all my attacks hit, which is annoying to do.
-
Re: Commerci sweetwater set
It's obvious Livy himself isn't dropping stuff cause his hitbox is centered outside the boat, and unlike the Coral Reefs, he doesn't drop his items outside the boat.
Whether personal droprate buffs work, I have no idea. What I can say is that since the nerf I've gone to Rien daily (just using Big Spider) and never had an equip.

So would that mean that classes that do use area-damage skills which hit the hidden mob as part of their bossing routine would get the personal drop multiplier?
That might explain why some players seem to be consistantly luckier with SW drops.

I don't know.
Another thread said that for your drop buffs to apply (to any monster), you have to deliver the killing blow (the last hit). But since this hidden mob gets killed by the game itself when the boss dies, there is no last hit.

pre-Unleashed shadower's Taunt skill increase drop/exp wouldn't apply if Taunt killed the monster. then juxtaposed demon slayer's Demon Cry, multi line skill, so the skill could kill a monster, but the first line damage would apply the bonus.
i dont know when the current postRED drop mechanics activate. i think im gonna ask nexon staff for official changelogs on back end modifications. who knows, we may get good insight into unknown factors.

sweetwater does not have base attack, so one scroll will be waste putting (gollux 90%) attack on the pieces before chaosing. in addition to losing a slot, you lose the transpose extra star. a transposed item will have its star count reduced by 1.
transposing may be a crapshoot, but i still think its worth the effort. ultimately, the best pieces for transpose, are overlapped with tyrant equips > shoe, cape, weapon, and hat (glove). fafnir top/bot are cheap at the moment, and two piece is stronger than one overall. I still perfer dojo gloves, but if/when nexon releases 15 star, and, if/when i have tyrant cape, glove, shoe, will transpose 15star tyrant into sweetwater.
[EDIT]: Does scissor'd anvil still give +1 tradecount? there are alleged hot patch claims that are hard to prove without video

It won't. The tier and number of lines are kept, but the actual potential is reset.
EDIT: ninja'd and also I keep forgetting how to use Tapatalk

I've had an attendance sundae drop from Livyatan at the side of the boat so they are definitely separate monsters.

Re: Commerci sweetwater set
A bit of a change in topic, but has anyone figured out the best way to farm denaros yet, supposing you have 40+ denaros and have unlocked every region? i need to transpose my hat but two tries a day is so slow :T

I would assume Rosa would be best since you can get about 8 runs in at about 5 coins per run?

But there's also the matter of how many runs to do at which location, too. Every port in the maple world offers at least one item with a 20% profit margin as opposed to 10%... I get about 8 coins on average for a herb town run, but I only get 7 for both rien and lith... Would it be best to do one herb town trip and fill the rest with rosa?

sort of, yes. not including bonuses for "shortening the trip" the *static value of 8 trips to Luna, (12 Energy per trip) (4 Denero profit) (~90 seconds per trip) has the largest return. (+32 per day)
*Note: Conducting a (cost = 10De) trade will give +1De profit more than conducting TWO (cost = 5De) trades.
EDIT
Observed data from (cost = 5De) soaps
[cost 10] 10x dolce (3ea) + 30De )60sec) 10 min
[cost 12] 8x luna (4ea) + 32De (90sec) 12 mins
[cost 15] 6x rosa (4ea) + 24De (2min) 12 mins
[cost 25] 4x herb (5ea) + 20De (4min) 16 mins
[cost 30] 3x rein (5ea) + 15De (5min) 15mins
[cost 40] 2x lith (5ea) + (7mins) 14mins
i didnt bother trying to mix/match combinations, since hunting boss drops =/= farming De.

Re: Commerci sweetwater set
I just do Rosa with a single 10 energy sail(forgot the name of the port).
I transpose 2 times a day with this method, making sure to never go under 10 coins.

Re: Commerci sweetwater set
Can you transpose onto a SW item that's already been scrolled, and does it still take all the scrolling results of the material item? I want to throw some scrolls on my SW so I can use it while perfecting an Emp weapon.

I'm assuming yes, since all SW Equipment that is transposed ends up being average + scrolling results of material items (i.e. SW Weapon has a maximum of 9 slots when hammered, while Empress Weapon has 10 when hammered, so I assume it completely ignores whatever stats are currently on the untransposed SW weapon).

yes you can. but the transpose will ignore all additions on the sw (except maybe if sw is fusion anvil) and only account for sw base stats, and the transpose material (+ stats).

would icog be the way to go for scrolling sw gloves?

If you can manage to find GM GFAs I would think that would be the safest way to get the highest stats, keeping in mind that getting more than +5 with icog is fairly rare (on stuff that I've scrolled with icog, ~+2 - +3 is average). But hey, if you're lucky at scrolling...

Icog can also raise the other stats, and if you have the money, you can use return scrolls till you get good results.
I dropped the zero 100% golve scroll and will probably toss a few icogs on later.

Re: Commerci sweetwater set
A question to people that already transposed the items.
If i have a 150 atk katara (example 65 clean and 85 from scrolls / aee) and decide to transpose it to sw katara.
Will i be left with 150 atk or sw katara will keep its stats and the 85 one will be added to base sw stats?
Asking cause i've heard 2 different opinions about it so i guess its safer to ask here since many ppl already did it.
Thanks
(sorry if someone already asked the same)
@SaptaZapta
Wow that was fast lol ... Thanks alot ^^
-
Re: Commerci sweetwater set
You get the 85 attack added onto the base stats of the sweetwater katara (note: base. doesn't matter if the sw katara is 2 attack above average, those 2 attack will be lost).

An interesting thing happened on my voyage. A Monster Life monster spawned...under my ship.

There's certainly a place for a hidden mob to spawn when a boss appears.

So can Zero and a few other classes. This doesn;t really confirm anything other than there is a secondary platform under the ship. You can also walk on the water as it is a platform. If you use certain attacks (like Zero's wind skills) you can see effects hitting the invidiable mob, but they don't show any damage (or even miss), there is not indication they actually are damaging/hitting anything.
