Good games today everyone, was fun.
I was so useless both games... I just couldn't land vacuum+wall or activate mek in time because of the stuns they had. I should've built BKB instead of Blink first ._.
I felt more useless with the CM but oh well, at least we won
Daaaaaaaaaaamn it. My mouse is dead :'(
Why have I been so lazy? I could've bought a nicer/non-wireless mouse months ago but I didn't for no reason.
Why does it happen on weekend though? ._. Hopefully I get to buy a new one tomorrow, or else I'll have to wait 'til Thursday or, most likely, Friday :(
On the bright side, it's been over a month and we still have a section for ourselves :D
Holy crap, it's been a month? Felt like two weeks.
I think I have to add Razor to my list of favorite heroes. Kiting the pomegranate out of melee lineups is just so fun. Managed to kite around a Centaur (with blink), Doom, Bounty Hunter, and Shadow Shaman (not strictly melee) for an ultra kill while being at 200 hp. That same game I managed to save my support Venge's life by simply draining TA of 224 damage. So fun.
His attack animation is one of the weirdest, at least for me. I kinda fail at last hitting with almost any other hero because I suck and I get impatient or something, but Razor is the only one I still feel completely clueless about. His skills are indeed fun but it's hard for me to farm with him so I just avoid picking it :(
I'm actually afraid Eos feels the same way. Other sections have their "Original threads" closed and ours is still open, but who knows.
He's a robot, no? He can't forget D:
If you want to learn how to last hit with razor, go into a game and buy skadhi/desolator and try last hitting and get used to the animation.
It's basically a projectile nearly as fast as sniper's projectile. (2000 vs 3000 speed)
Takes a while to get used to, but to me he's one of the easiest to last hit with ever since i got used to his animation.
http://blog.dota2.com/wp-content/upl..._prelim_06.mp3 eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee so excited.
:/
I got a 4 stack of foreigners (Russian, to be exact) who flamed me and told me I sucked at farming while playing Faceless Void.
Then I carried them to victory with 3+ man Chronos and by being Void.
So satisfying to see them slowly talk less and less.
Yesterday was so exhausting.
Was playing with pisakrapp and a nooby friend (which Words knows).
But the problem wasn't my friend the problem was a feeder sniper and a freaking Viper which only got 2 Waith Bands and a couple of salves AT THE END OF THE GAME. HE WAS LEVEL 25!
Took us an hour for finish that game but we manage to win it.
PS: Got a beta key for Infinite Crysis if anyone is interested.

Sounds similar to the game above. Seems like a hilarious game to watch.
The weird thing is that the attack doesn't hit when the whip hits. It hits when the zap happens, which kinda makes sense. You don't just hit someone with a whip, you crack the whip. Once you get used to that and stop hating it, he's got a great animation, good range, good damage (especially when you get phase up), and the particle is very fast. Gyro and Sniper have 3000 speed on their projectile as Malthe pointed out, Razor has 2000, Morphling has 1300, Drow has 1250, Troll/Medusa/Shadow Friend have 1200, and Mirana/Weaver/Luna/Clinkz/TA all have just 900.
Speaking of Clinkz, I can't play him. His attack point is hateful (0.7 seconds!), he's incredibly squishy, he does no damage in lane, and almost has to be run safelane unless you want to go super aggro. He also is very much a timing hero, as in if he gets his orchid later than a certain point he's simply not useful. And it's SO easy to be shut down as Clinkz and virtually impossible to come back. Ugh. Maybe I'll just practice last hitting and freefarming with him because I just can't do it especially at level 1.
I wonder what the best way to improve my micro is. Maybe just go play zerg in sc2 for a little while? :p
The game we played last night in EU servers were awful for me. 220+ ms and insane lag spikes every now and then made me useless. I shouldn't have picked WR knowing that I'd lag haha. But it made me wonder, is it like that for you when you play in US servers? With the high ping and the lag spikes?
First time I solo queue in days, I get the most idiotic team. 4 semi-carries/pushers, DP and Invoker went sidelines and a Weaver went mid. Invoker pings the hell out of me because he wants solo hard lane. 1 minute later he pings the hell out of everyone because he is not getting anything and needs support lol. The first 2 ganks in his lane were complete failures because, of course, he didn't invoke Cold Snap or anything other than Sun Strike. I landed some nice Ice Paths throughout the game, at one point I was like 0/0/6 which is kinda nice for a support, but everyone else had more deaths than kills :( and eventually our weak team fight couldn't defend high ground :(
It makes me sad that I still suck that much to get queued with that kind of people. It makes me mad because MM is stupid, I don't think I'm that terrible to get matched with players like that Invoker.
Solo queue doesn't make me happy.
Ye Im not gonna make you do that ever again, I figured out that I really cant play while Im at my dads, too much FPS lagg and normal lagg. LF<someone to donate money for a good laptop :(
PS: I told you we always loose when Arne (Stird) plays spirit breaker, we lost both games LOL.
2 wins 3 lost with you guys.
Then a couple of bot matches and RARE HELM FOR DK <3
Had to play with 2 friends and their 2 super new friends:
http://dotabuff.com/matches/287891175
And i had to PICK a hero to win, i knew this from the beginning.
Which made me realize i don't even know why i always random anymore, i began randoming 24/7 to get used to all heroes in dota2 just like how i did it to get used to all heroes in dota1.
So i think i'm back to picking more, also going to use http://dota2layout.com/ to make a layout where the heroes i'm going to pick in pubs are together, the heroes i'll never pick are together and the "Maybe pool is in the middle".
Edit: so i wrote valve about my S&Y i unboxed from TI2 chests not having their TI2 description.
So... they fix my S&Y and give me an extra set that instead of having
"The international 2012" has
"The international 2012
The international 2012"
Valve, wat are u smokin
Edit2: Pictures:
Spoiler
Yesterday was an awful in every single way.
Was raining when I was coming back from my University so I got wet.
Then I lost every single match I played.
Then I got sick.
The only good thing it came out was this item, which it dropped to a friend but he gifted to me
http://i.imgur.com/0fj3CQt.jpg
Weaver really feels like a hero i can fall back on when games get hard and i am on a losing streak.
Always feels good to run around in the middle of a teamfight with 150 hp vs a ton of burst and still pick someone off and survive the entire fight.
Well, weaver and nature's prophet. But NP is like cheating in pubs. So few pubs know how to handle split push and global ganks. Especially when you got a spirit breaker on your team.
I do not apologize whenever I win with NP in pub games due to split pushing like a madman.
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...dy-d6fu27o.png
So the compendium rewards are out.
I just got 2 regular items with a special tag.
I like this solution, you get a random item based on how well you made a team but you don't get any exclusive or one-of-a-kind item outside of the tags.
And i got a cool kunkka item i didn't have and a cool QoP item i didn't have.
Am happy.
Edit: Also had some really good games today, made up for yesterday big time.
I got a pomegranatety common Invoker bracer.
Also on a 7 game loss streak. Playing worse than usual. This sucks.
I finally did it last night. I got a good QoP game in.
http://dotabuff.com/matches/293280580
Randomed her, went mid versus a Huskar. Only died twice the whole game. I actually knew what I was doing! Feels so good to win with a hero I've had great trouble using in the past. Now I just gotta replicate the results in future games. It was awesome to see that ending my killing streak game gave ~806 gold to the enemy. I'm very sure I nabbed at least 7-10 kills before I died.
Something wrong with my Dota. Everything looks blurry :(
Screenshot? Would like to see, but post it on the dev forums if it persists.

now
how it used to be?
I don't know now. Both screens look the same to me. I don't know if it's my computer being stupid now or if it's me going blind D: haha
Not sure, but it didn't feel blurry last night :S
UPDATE: Ok, false alarm. Mom was checking something this morning in my computer and she moved some settings by mistake. I was so pineappleing worried about my eyes.
Just made a steam-friend by playing dota, first time that happened actually.
Nice guy from the UK, pretty good player too.
And won the next game after inviting him to stack.
http://dotabuff.com/matches/295636683
http://dotabuff.com/matches/295653821
Feels pretty good. More people to stack with is always good, and he's european!
I made a couple steam friends some time ago but I ended up blocking most or ignoring most of them. Out of the 6 I've added I'd only play again with 1, except I rarely see him on when I'm on. It's always nice when you find someone who's nice, because I feel it's rare.
I sucked so hard with naga siren in a match, but the reward...
I ain't even mad...

Everytime
7-game win streak right now. Most recent game was a 9/2/25 Lich who was the 2nd highest leveled. Here's hoping I get an 8th one.
In other news, Deso + Assault Cuirass makes Furion too stronk a pusher. Also finally making full use of Teleport spamming the lanes.
Today was bad, only won 1 game out of 6, and now im in low priority due to losing internet twice... thanks rain!
On the bright side that game we won i randomed venomancer and went 19-5 on a slow focused build :o, I usually go support with veno but there was one already.
Finally got around to customizing my doto a bit more.
So much more pleasant with stuff like rune-spots bound to F3 and F4.
Real life is OP. I have no time left for DotA, just study, study, study and sleep. Even weekends are tiring. I'm happy with how things are but I miss playing with all of you :(
I should have a week break in October, can't wait for it :D
Anyway, time to farm school a bit more...
Same, i just started uni again.
Got very little or no time for dota during a regular day.
Wake up at 5 AM for uni, get home at 5-7 PM. Suddenly too tired for doto when you get home.
But i still have time to watch a few streams every now and then, so happy SingSing is streaming more again. Can watch VODs in the train.
Had a Tidehunter game. Lycan on the enemy team was getting pretty scary, him Roshing his 2nd time. That 2nd time, he killed Drow who tried to kill him. I ran down, walked right up as he killed Rosh. Smacked the Aegis when he misclicked. Probably saved us from losing the game.
http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...83/018/79e.jpg
Aegis denies feel so good.
**So game 2 of the night. Played Storm Spirit mid since we needed a mid hero. Had a Dazzle and Abaddon as support, and Luna/Lone Druid as our carries. A ward showed Alchemist was trying to farm his ancients with Acid Spray, a la Medusa style. We shut him down hard and stole his 3-4 stacks of Ancients. He had 5 deaths, 0 kills and assists the whole game. He seemed really mad because he then declared me muted as we wailed on their towers so to open up the throne. The rest of the team was pretty mad too, one saying I had an ego. They were happy to finally shut me up by killing me in the end before their Ancient fell. I guess I was playing up the banter a bit, since twice I jabbed at the fact Alchemist was unable to get farm, and therefore no fun allowed for his team.
So I sold all my Steam Trading Card and made $4 from 'em.
Bought a key for a mythical chest and got this:
http://i.imgur.com/agSakCU.jpg
Well pineapple me...
People seem to want 3 rares for that. :f6:
Trade it nao!
I randomed Meepo. I think that's all that needs to be said here about how well that went.
I'm very mad.
Decided to pick Batrider for a Random Draft since we need a mid. I keep buying the observer wards to cover myself, but NO ONE ELSE ON MY TEAM WOULD BUY SENTRIES/DUST FOR THE GROWING NUMBER OF INVIS HEROES ON THE ENEMY TEAM. I keep telling them to buy Sentries/Dust, but they wouldn't get it even when I was cussing them out until the enemy team was too fed to be stopped.
FOUR HEROES THAT CAN GO INVIS. LET'S NOT GET DETECTION. I can't do sh'it because my slots are all filled up with Blink Dagger/Force Staff/Wand/Boots/TP/Wards. This is really table flip inducing. Our lineup was even decent, KoTL/Shadow Shaman as the supports, Ursa/Tiny as the carries, and me as mid. I HELPED EASE THE TENSION OFF SS and KoTL BY GETTING THE WARDS AND YET THEY STILL WON'T GET FU'CKING DETECTION UNTIL TOO LATE. They apparently bought a Mek each, and KoTL bought a Pipe. Well that does nothing if we can't SEE the enemy! The most painful part was I keep getting picked off by Nyx, TA, and SF, because guess what THEY'RE INVISIBLE ALL THE TIME.
Got put into low priority for 1 game(?) somehow. I hadn't said a word the entire day of play in all chat, so I'm not sure how I got put into it.
Tried to make the best of it by playing a fun hero (timbersaw), didn't turn out well :(.
Very relevant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2tM-w7YTM0
Had 6 game losing streak. Broke it with a Sand King game where everyone actually helped in warding the map. It all happened today. I'm going to take a small break from the game so I can recharge myself.
Really need to practice pulling and zoning people out. Had a 2 vs 1 lane with my venom and a gyro against a tiny that went really badly. We killed him early when he overextended while I was pulling, but then I kept messing up my timing and let the lane push out. After that, he just started killing me at full hp..
It seems like a skill you have to learn with experience, but any additional tips are appreciated!
Learn the time it takes you to walk from certain spots in lane to neutral camp. That way you know when to leave depending on where you are. With boots and without them.
It's rather hard and I usually end up wasting t least 10 seconds or more, when I walk from lane to neutral camp thinking "oh, I should go back now". I've always wanted to learn that but I don't have the time right now.
I always stack/pull around the 0:53-0:54 mark, seems to work best. You want to be in position around the 0:50 second mark, that helps you not waste time out of lane and gives you enough time to scope out the situation in case you need to abort your pulling/stacking.
Edit: I actually haven't played dota 2 much since the cygnus revamp, but i'm going on now to see if i can get some fun games in. Anyone else notice how hard random games are sometimes lol, it's the only mode i play because i've been playing so long i just can't pick a hero after playing all of them for 7+ years, and the fact that you tend not to get picking constantly trying to counter pick your team making the game stacked and a waste of time.
So yesterday I went back for a hard - bot match, just to see how bad/good I could perform.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...28667676_n.jpg
Yup, nothing else I can learn from those.
If you really wanna test your skills do 1v5 hard or insane bots. I guarantee if you skills aren't peaked they will doing that.
stack at 0:53-0:54, pull at :16 or :46. only pull with a double stack (or do a double pull) unless you're trying to push the lane.
probably best time to push a lane is if you single pull the first or second cannon wave (3:00 and 6:30) so you get a larger wave therefore more creeps to tank for the cannon. you also get a stat bonus for the creeps at 7:30 so you can finish it off with that wave.
Just bought GLADos pack.
Because, why the pineapple not?
I tried to get the Manta Style from the chests, but 4 keys and no avail. I look to see the bundle for them is going for 6-7 keys. I want them so bad. VAAAAAAAAAAALVE!
Na'vi vs Poseidon game 2 is a must watch.
Also, been watching DK games and they're insane. I'm happy they're doing so great and it's just a pleasure to watch them.

I'm personally currently watching the staff cup from theGDstudio perspective: http://www.twitch.tv/thegdstudio
It's the best.
After losing 3 matches in a row.
We finally won.
ugh feels so good
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...25364760_n.jpg
I had some time last night and played two games with Adam and his friend. Won both matches despite being rusty as hell. Also, I decided to set up a d2l account and bet on some matches and it's really great, won some DK commons :D I hope I keep winning and get some WR items :3
Once I have time to play again I'll have cool looking items :D
Tried out 10 lifestealer games yesterday in a row playing different builds. I was comparing phase drum armlet s&y vs phase drum mael/mjollnir basher. I ended up liking the latter build better in general (the less popular one) because you farm really fast with the early maelstrom or mjollnir. The armlet build is probably better for early fighting, but both builds are really good at early fighting, so IMO it's not that big of a deal.
If I have like a spirit breaker/bat/storm/some other blink hero on my team though I prefer armlet.
Also tried a trolly orchid one game because I was against a qop/windrunner/bat/pudge/rubick line up. Went well but was in a stack of friends who were pretty reliable, so not sure if I'll try that again.
orchid saw a bit of a vogue on lifestealer for a little while during the spring. haven't seen much of it since then but it's still a solid pickup. a lot of his problem is his inability to reliably stick to heroes even with a basher. especially against heroes like windrunner, qop, and batrider.
orchid and armlet are two really solid pickups on a LOT of heroes. I'm not saying that shadow blade+orchid, concoction-maxing alchemist is necessarily great but it's actually not bad. Based EE-Sama has tried out armlet on Anti-Mage in a competitive game; why not Morphling? I think orchid weaver used to be a thing as well. armlet PA, void... why the hell not?
the only thing is that armlet/orchid means no quick bkb and coming back for armlet or orchid is sub-par since they're really timing items.
Yea, I'm not surprised people tried it out on him. After all, the reason why the movespeed build got popular is because it helps him solve that problem of not being able to stick to people and getting kited.
Personally I don't do many unusual armlet pickups. PA is definitely one hero that is amazing with armlet (try it!). Orchid is almost always a situational thing for me unless I have some really good ganking hero with positioning skills (in which case it's standard; ie storm, qop, clinkz, etc). I usually get it when my team lacks disables or there are annoying heroes to kill.
Slark is a hero that can utilize both surprisingly well! Orchid obviously helps your ganking combo as well as his mana issues. Armlet is also good because he benefits from everything it gives pretty much + you can heal during ult, etc. Pretty unusual and really early-mid game/ganking oriented, but a nice snowballing build.
I mean slark himself is highly midgame gank-train oriented and so it inherently helps, the only problem is that it takes a little while to get online and if he's delaying his ganking for that it's a bit of a problem.
orchid bounty hunter has been a thing before and I still see it sometimes
orchid on Clockwerk is something that I think was a thing but that bone7 and his absolutely insane clockwerk builds have brought back (this might be a simplified and/or completely wrong version of the story)
I would say orchid doom might be decent but why not just go veil and get more armor?
orchid timber is decent as I've mentioned before
I *think* that you should be able to activate orchid during Spirit Breaker's Charge which would be pretty damn good. Ups your burst combo significantly.
I could see it on a ganking gyro, a razor, viper, even a medusa
then of course puck windrunner storm prophet silencer SWM qop invoker (!!) or OD
really any ganking hero.
Tried out solo queue again...
That wasn't that bad

Been in such a horrible slump..It's worse than when I first started since back then I can at least say I didn't know what I was doing
Been mainly watching JoinDoTA videos, primarily of the Alliance/Na'Vi variety. Speaking of that, latest Starladder matches between Alliance and Na'Vi.
Spoiler
So yeah, pineapple the bot matches.
I've been playing all day long in solo queue.
Won 6 lost 2.
Good day.
Gotta say, I'm feeling comfortable with other roles rather than just support.
And I'm loving Mirana, got prasied for some of my arrows.
http://i.imgur.com/a27K7ul.jpg
Also, what's better for her?
Diffusal, daedalus or just manta?
diffusal/manta is a pretty good combo for ganking, like mentioned above. A nice build for that kind of mirana is like phase drum shadowblade diffusal manta damage/bfly
Daedalus is just something you get when you need damage (ie your other cores don't deal much right click damage). If you're playing carry mirana you have to get this very often eventually to scale into the late game because her rightclick damage is pretty bad. It's one of the best damage items.
Almost all of my starting mirana builds are something like phase drum manta or tread aquila manta. The former is if you wanna fight more and the latter is if you want to get better sustain to farm in a more passive game. Next item is usually some kind of damage item like bfly or daedalus. Getting maelstrom/mjollnir for the farming version and diffusal for the fighting option are situational items.
Diffusal is more utility based: ganking/securing a kill
Manta is more survival based with a mix of offense: Get ride of stuff like Silence/snares, can help confuse the enemy and save your life, and helps push harder
Daedelus is a pure carry Mirana type item. Can your teammates keep the enemies distracted while you right click them down? Get this.
SingSing stream makes me very happy.
I'm really diggin' Mirana.
I like what I'm capable to do with her.
Didn't lose my mid lane versus that duo of Tinker + Crystal Maiden.
Kept my exp ratio in the 2nd top and my farming wasn't that bad juding by just gettin assistances from teamfights.
http://i.imgur.com/nsOQ4RM.jpg
A couple games more and she'll be my new "most effective" hero.
So now she's my avatar
Dota2Lounge bots have weird names. I'm currently trading with Obama.
Also, it's kinda boring when only a handful of teams are doing fine... makes rates be stupid and pointless to bet.
Those were some incredibly easy games. OD not leveling prison until who knows when made the lane really really easy for me.
At least after laning stage I didn't suck balls, which is usually the case. Still Storm is hard, you want farm/mana/ganks and it's hard to tell where to get all of it in one place.
Also sad because N'aix never infested me and that's the only reason why I picked it xD
Them two games were just hilariously bad. I don't know what caused us to stack so hard against the enemy today.
Storm Spirit is a really good mid thanks to that speed. Burst damage and stun is really nice too. His ult makes me cry though, because mana problems.
After losiing 2 in a row.
Finally won the last one of today.
I swear to god, I love those Moon Daughters (Mirana and Luna).

Oh my god, Heart/Vanguard on Enchantress. a PA with a Skadi. Everyone on your team level 25. What is this blasphemous game?! Be right back while I take a look at the replay. I wonder if Purge/Lumi will cast this pub play.
I actualyl asked those items on the enchant, she responded:

I had a notification last night about the Steelseries headset that comes with the Scythe of Vyse, but decided to sleep and check in the morning. I made a terrible mistake.
I love WR when I play with you guys. I get to leech from your kills, get some room to farm and every other game I'm useful :D
http://s14.postimg.org/u6kgqxcvl/Sin_t_tulo.png
Other than the positioning issues I had with void I've felt useful again :D
Also, have you guys talked with a mod or Eos about "Post your matches" thread being 'closed' because we haven't post in a while?
I hate people who pick Invoker in my pubs.
Today was good, only lost to a broken team of Slark, Riki, and Night Stalker. They were pretty much unbeatable with our draft.
Anyway, I think I can graduate from support school now.
Babysitted this PL to get a radiance in less than 15 minutes with treant in a lane versus Skywrath and Slardar. Even got a recommendation from him.
http://i.imgur.com/6AJCoCF.jpg
haha I swear to god people keep pickin Broodmother thinking that she's OP or something like that. It's just hilarious looking at them not knowing what to do.
Wow, DK's first lost match just happened and I wasn't watching :( Must've been some amazing games between them and iG.
Also sad because I couldn't see Na'vi vs speed gaming :( Can't wait for vacations so I can watch all dota2 I want!
Brood is pretty hard to kill, she just sits in the trees and jukes like crazy :(
Augh those last few games. It was after doing 3 great stomp games just earlier with Words and Chew. I think it's painfully clear I'm really not fit to be in your bracket, Dusk. I'm going to need to do some more games to improve myself. Just when I thought I was ready to go above my current hidden skill bracket I see I still suck pretty badly.
Terrible, terrible day. Did we win anything at all?
Also, when Clockwerk said I should've gone for dps instead of of sheep was he serious or just blaming? I thought we had enough burst and that we were lacking on reliable disables.
I think it wasn't my item choice the mess up but my rage buyback when I was like lv17 that just slowed me down to uselessness.
Well there were those 2 earlier games where I went Death Prophet and Lich.
And I guess the problem was since you were farming so hard that you could have gone damage to keep the enemy team down. I was seriously scared to even farm when I knew there was a Bane in my lane somewhere. I felt I was the useless one since I couldn't even Roshan without giving myself away.
Just played a game as support Venge with a Slardar and a ET with an AC on the team. Farmed enemy Brood loses like a quarter of her life to my right clicks. Feels good.
Oh yeah, and ES was our carry.

So I've been practicing with Elder Titan in Co-op matches. Not confident enough to take it to real matches just now but I will eventually this week.
So far so good I gues...
Is there any way to bind the movement control of the spirit to a single key?
Selecting all other units doesn't seem to work with it.
He's really really good actually... in one single spirit I stacked 120+230dmg.
