Dear god, Valve left the door open. Chell is now free to find or be found by what's occupying the States in the Combine era. GLaDOS now has an eternity to tinker around with Atlas and P-Body. Valve has already stated (unknown if publically or privately to ThePoliticalGamer) that they are done with altering the game and will release DLC sometime. That alone might give us our next plot platform to hop up to. It could even be another ARG, which Valve has perfected the art of. And we still have the Borealis.

well, Chell really can't interact with the combine. Since she was in the sleep chamber for at least 9999 days, which is about 30 years. Assuming Portal 1 takes place around around 2007, since valve likes to make games that are in the current time frame, Portal 2 takes place around at least 2037. If Half-Life 2 takes place at ~2017, then either the Combine is gone or all the humans are dead. But, considering the next installment in Half-Life will probably involve the borealis, it's possible that Valve has a "we told you that story so we could tell you this one" kind of plot. I would love it if when boarding the Borealis you hear "Cave Johnson here!"

Afterthoughts:
Want You Gone is a great song, better in musicality than Still Alive but doesn't have as much of an impact as it. I love it, though.

BTA and I went through all of the co-op levels and finished it this morning at about 5:15 AM with bloodshot eyes. The last puzzle is the hardest, but now that we know what to do it's dead simple. We could probably complete it within five minutes.

For whatever reason, all of the puzzles involving gels are much, much harder than the test chamber puzzles. I think it's because not only do you have to know where to fling the gels, but you also have to know the objective or reasoning why you're flinging the gels.

I finished the game. That ending was awesome. I also liked the ending song better than the first one. Now to beat co-op mode with someone. Also, I might replay single player with commentary on.

So yeah, just finished single player. Absolutely loved the whole game. Only parts I was annoyed by were mostly in "The Fall", where it was sorta confusing about where to go next. And then the gel puzzles were annoying too for the same reason. After that, everything was wonderful again.

Also: will SPAAAAAAAACE be this one's meme? :p

Upon reflection of this ending, for some odd reason I felt an extreme case of deja vu. I don't know how, but I feel that I've seen an orchestra of turrets before :goggle:.

Got to chapter 4 of 5 for co-op yesterday, so I haven't finished it just yet, but it was definitely more of a challenge than the main game.

Finished Coop with Jon a few hours ago. Crazy.... I just hope there's some sort of customization to coop, because redoing those levels with the 3-5 people I know who want to coop is going to get repetitive very, very fast.

That last puzzle was reaaaaaaally annoying. Jon and I ran around in circles for who knows how long trying to finish it.

I never thought that gel puzzles were really bad. Except for that one with the white-gel. I hated that level so much. So freaking much.

I think I ended up beating it by spraying the gel over the first solid platform I found and then portal-loop boosted myself into the air and onto the exit ramp. No freaking idea how it's 'suppose' to be done. Should go look that up now....

Anyone else spot P-body in single player? :3 How about how the "I'm different" turret tells you that "She is Caroline"? Also, one of the potato projects has "By Chell" on it. I didn't see that until I saw a screenshot of it and I went to see if it was shopped or what. Some of the little easter eggs really are quite profound.

What really annoyed me the most about the game was probably the very first part of "The Fall." I got stuck before even making it to Alpha station in that huge room. >:( Trying to catch that blue gel covered box made me rage a bit, too. I ended up getting all the single player achievements, though.

For that to be true Caroline would have had to be installed on the same day as bring your daughter to work day and GLaDOS was in production for a long time. Granted it's plausible because, let's face it, this isn't based on real world logic and they could have ripped and uploaded her brain in one day... but still.

The brain could have been ripped years before when Cave died and the scientist forced her into taking the head of the company, against her wishes. This would orphan young Chell who could have grown up with an adopted family or otherwise next-of-kin.

Wouldn't that mean Chell would had to come back to aperture science AFTER her parents were killed? It's possible but I don't see most children doing that... unless she was forced to and her adopted parents worked for Aperture...

The problem is that the file existed before Chell would have been an adult (maybe it's an oversight on the artist) meaning either the first or second time GLaDOS went crazy Chell, at one point, would have been an adult... which doesn't really make sense, because the time before those two incidents occurred is not that long (we can assume the data in her chart wasn't verified, as in, someone just knew her and marked her not to be tested considering she may very well be the bosses daughter) but that doesn't explain the picture.

There's always the pseudo science that chell died during the first incident, got cloned and grew up super fast to the point her data was recorded for the second incident (in the comic Chell got moved up the line for cloning by Ratman). But it's not exactly clear what the "rules" of clones are in that universe.

This may fill the hole if we assume the clone has an accelerated age phase and the photo taken is of the clone, not the real "Chell". But that's not confirmed

My best friend and I got Portal 2 yesterday on the 360, finished co-op in aprox. 6 hours.
Just a comment on the last level. My friend and I figured out what we had to do with the orange (speed) cube at the same time.
We both ended up saying "You can't be serious..."

OH MY GOD I beat it and just... oh my god.

Storyline spoilers.
I LOVED the ending song, and the whole SPACE thing was holy pomegranate... AND COMPANION CUBE NEVER DIED. <33333 Also, GLaDOS being Caroline... did NOT expect that. And WHEATLEY, man. I thought we were bros! :C Why'd you have to get all corrupted and stuff?

The turrets singing was quite relaxing to me.

Game is amazing. Very well worth the buy.

I did. Like, yesterday. I managed to get that far solo (ty two controllers) but where im at now is impossiburu solo.
Or rather.. from 2-6 where me and combo got to, i got from 2-6 to 3-7 solo... pomegranate was tough for some parts.

We were just chilling and messing around, and we stopped for chinese during the middle.

Oh man, played co-op with my best friend while on Skype with her. It was HILARIOUS. One of the best things that happened;

Her: Okay, stay on that button while I check the door.
Me: *gets off button as she walks in* What? *SMASH*

Played portal 2 at my friends house. Wheatley cracked me the hell up. He is like a robot version of me; making giant explanations of the littlest things. He's the funniest character I've ever seen.
Expecting to get my own copy in 3 days or so.
