The place I'd be most likely to see it is my DrK's response to 1/1s - it's sent to 1 hp so it's very obvious when healing works (beholder's reflect thru dragon wisdom heals about 1300 hp) and I don't remember beholder's reflection ever triggering the Aran's healing too.

Well, I dunno if anyone's looked into this yet, but for those who don't know, and are dying to know, Xenon counts as both a thief and a pirate card:

As you can see, I only have those three cards active, only three card effects are present in the upper section, and there are two set bonuses in each picture, which correspond to the Thief or Pirate set and the set for having all characters of a certain rank or higher.

Anyone know does the KMS revamped Thunder Breaker card effect stack with Viper's?
Edit: just tested my I/L card + Flame Wizard (pre-tempest), it stacks. so i guess same goes to the others.

This is something minor, but you made a typo for Angelic buster. Should be buster instead of blessing xP.
Anyway, Kanna's card effect adds 1/2/3/4% boss damage and Hayato's card adds 2/4/6/8% minimum critical damage.
Seeing as how we'll probably get Demon Avenger (whose character card also gives boss damage) along with the other classes in the near future, think the effects from that and Kanna's card stack with each other?
I have a Merc as a main and thinking of submaining a revamped Wind Archer in the future. So I'm wondering if these sets would work?

Marksman (4% critical rate)
Mercedes (5% cooldown)
Wild Hunter / Wind Archer (instant kill /accuracy boost or filler)
3 archers for +3/4% damage to final attack skills. If I'm able to get the Wind Archer to Lv200, then I can use the rank SS effect.
[Set2]
Aran (70% Chance of healing of 6% HP)
Demon Slayer (3% Status resistance)
Hayato (6% minimum critical damage)
3 warriors for 8% HP to damage.
[Set3]
Battle Mage (4% damage reduction)
Xenon (+20 Str, Dex, Luk)
Demon Avenger (+3% boss damage)
Resistance set effect for +7 stats.

character cards that give the same thing stack, so it would be wise to do both avenger and kanna.
might try something like this

IDK what card set you would want to break to put in kanna for her 3% boss damage. Personally, I would remove wild hunter or wind archer from the archer set, or demon slayer from the warrior for kanna.

You can't duplicate character types in one deck (currently) or any deck (after Unlimited).
Edit: Actually, I don't know if you can't duplicate the character in different decks post-Unlimited if you were only after the Set Effect. But I do know duplicate effects of same cards will not appear.

can't put more than one xenon, so nope.
this goes across decks, only one xenon can be used at all (or one of any class for that matter.

The only set thats worth aiming for in terms of damage is the pirate set, everything else should be ignored (especially thief, magican & warrior ones). The archer set is pretty terrible aswell, 4% more damage on final attack would mean 8% more damage for a merc. Now this is chance based so it will be knocked down to 5.6%, thats not worth keeping bm, wild hunter or wind archer for, hell even marksman card is kinda pomegranatety for damage increase.
Do as @LiquidSwing said but replace marksman & 3rd archer with kanna + aran, at least for bosses that have potion cooldown. 4% crit chance wont make a big difference at all, my merc is sitting on 95% crit chance with lvl 1 link and decent se alone, if you got a wind archer/wild hunter/adventurer bowman in party you'll hit 100% so easily. If Im not mistaken, just kanna card alone + S set is better than SS set + 4% crit from marksman, unless you REALLY want that 300 hp difference so badly.
You could also replace mercedes card with something better in the future, its not that needed, I only find it handy for mikhail link and ab link skills.

I'm not really into making pirates at the moment, but I'll probably group together TB + AB + Xenon together. I'm just trying to use whatever non useless bonuses that's available for the individual as well as being part of a deck. Thanks for the input.

I'm still kind of confused on how the +damage effects work. Right now I have two triple S sets, [Buccaneer, Angelic Burster, Cannoneer] and [Paladin, Hayato, Demon Slayer]. The second set grants a "8% HP to damage"conversion, is that really useful or should I trade one of those cards for my Kanna S card and get the 3% bossing damage with no warrior bonus? If so, which one should I take off the set, the Paladin one with the <I-don't-understand> damage effect?

paladin card: grab the bonus the paladin says it gives
multiply it by the level of the character you're currently playing
add it to your range
that is your new -range-
8%hp to damage conversion: find your base HP
find out what 8% of it is.
substract it from your range (if you have the set active that is)
calculate how much damage you'll do on the monster you want to kill (i.e. pdr, crit chances, skill multipliers, calculate all that)
add the two numbers together.
that is your new -damage-
bucc card works the same way.
to put it into perspective, how useful the 8% hp to thing is. i have a base hp of 30150 after washing so much. 8% of that is 2412, impale hits six times. so every impale i cast, i deal 14472 extra damage.

Ok so Paladin card effect actually adds to the range then? The warrior set effect doesn't seem that good, should I just replace DS card for Kanna card?

ds or hayato yea, whichever you prefer. no clue about your min crit rate so i can't say anything about that.
when tri-sets come you can have them all together anyways.

After unlimited we can have 3 Character Card sets.
Which 3 sets would be the best for a Wind Archer?
Considering I would level all the characters to at least 100(S rank cards).

Well, he has a mech under the Resistance set, since he is obviously wanting the Resistance set bonus for whatever reason there really isn't any other class to put under there that gives a worthwhile bonus except Battle Mage.
