I also don't get why people pierce all over their faces. I'd rather not say anything like "o idc wut u think", but the truth is that I really don't have them for anyone but myself. From the time you're born, you aren't given control over your natural appearance, save for hair and weight. Body modification allows for your ideas regarding how you should look to come to fruition.

I recieved my first piercings (my lobes) 12 years ago, and my labrets (lips)...about 4 years ago. At this point, getting pierced is becoming a habit (14 and counting). xd
P.S. That ring in my septum was a tad big; I've since moved to a smaller one (though at a larger gauge).

Why should you want to alter your image in such a way unless you weren't satisfied with it in the first place? That's the message heavy make up and piercings delivers to me. I guess the thought of alteration by inserting foreign objects through the skin isn't exactly what I'd call a reasonable form of "body alteration", but that's just me. >< (Again, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm repulsed by it.)
